I need to give a huge shout-out to the Apple Store in St. John's town center. I visited because I needed to transfer a phone from one family member to another (following a death in the family.) I didn't have any of the deceased person's details for log-in, etc, but that person was on my account. Verizon was of very little help in transferring the phone over to the new owner & suggested I go to the Apple Store. So glad I did! All the Apple Store required was for me to go to a Verizon location (also in town center) and bring them proof that I was the owner of the physical phone and they would remove the Apple ID currently using the phone. While it was a little monotonous & time-consuming - it all worked out. The staff at Apple were so kind, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, informative, and above all else..... PATIENT! I'm most grateful for that.... Because I'm not very good with technology and haven't be able to explain it in layman's terms to the new user, as well. read more

Came in to get the new iPhone and we were there for almost 2 hours, not waiting, but because a mistake was made, which I understands happens but this one was pretty inconvenient. The lady was so sweet but I had let her know that we have a plan with AT&T and we were told by apple customer service when I called that they could redeem the same offer. Ended up being such a hassle because she forgot I think and they switched my number to a new phone but then forgot to put the offer in so I had to get a new phone and they had to call AT&T then it still wasn't working. Finally I was told I had to come back to pick up my new phone later because they now had to put keep a list according to the system (this is the 3rd new phone now lol). Kamal stepped in to help and was really nice, helpful, and knowledgeable and fixed everything. My Recommendation during your daily standup meeting..... please make sure when Apple says the customer can go to their local Best Buy for damaged phone replacements. They should inform the customer that Best Buy does not exchange damaged phones for a replacement even if you have Apple Care. They will only order a replacement, and notify you when the phone comes in. When I could also do this online. I drove all over to multiple Best Buys to hear the same story, WE DO NOT DO PHONE REPLACEMENTS. I Still love the Apple Store. They are very responsive and helpful. read more

I needed to come to the Apple Store due to someone stepping on an EarPod when I lost it. I made an appointment and arrived to see controlled chaos. This place is very overwhelming and chaotic. There is long wait times even if you have an appointment to see a genius rep. The employees are doing their best to serve each person but for each dedicated service this causes long wait times. I came on a Saturday afternoon so this may be prime time and off hours possibly early in the morning may possibly be better. read more

I hate going to the Apple Store especially this one. It doesn't seem managed at all. There are a ton of people constantly walking around that look busy but don't seem to be doing much of anything at all. You cannot be late to your appointment but they damn sure can. I was seated and am currently still waiting 20 minutes and counting past my appointment. I stopped and asked one of the guys that work here and he laughed at me and told me that it was only 6 minutes past my appointment and then walked away. Customer service is dead. The Apple Store in Saint Johns Town Center was an incredible experience : Cole was my Apple Genius and guided me through my iPhone SE complete with explaining what was new with the update and did an very thorough deep diagnostic check to see if my phone was ok. While we waiting the VR associate with the goggles named Angelica was so very kind and very patient with me as I learn to pinch virtual buttons and sweep through various immersive apps - when its not $3500 perhaps ill consider it. Overall, no one feels rushed at this store and the Geniuses make you not feel dumb and communicate very well. When im back in town, I'll stop through again, until then great job everyone! read more

Multiple failures here on a simple battery replacement that relate to slow service and straight-up bad customer service. I got here on time and was told it would take an hour for the battery swap - I came back on time and was told to wait 5 minutes. This happened two more times before I was told it was ready. Ten minutes after that, I got my phone. I don't fault this specific store for Apple making my original battery appointment at a Best Buy that doesn't stock iPhone batteries, but when I told the "Apple Genius" about what happened she became very offended because "that's not my fault" - a bizarre thing to say, but I offered to talk to someone else about it and she said "no, because I'm not intimidated by you." What?! This was the middle of a Wednesday work day. I can't imagine trying to get something done here on a weekend. Avoid at all costs. read more

Went in today because a phone that I had repaired, by this same Apple Store, last Wednesday, started shutting down on its own. They begin their inspection and immediately say it has water damage. The only water this phone has been around is bottled or in my pocket during rain storms which have been everyday in the evening here on the east coast of Florida. To top it off, during their inspection, they screw the phone up to the point where they couldn't even turn it back on. So at this point, I have to buy a replacement. There is no other way for me to retrieve my data. Also during this visit while the replacement of my phone is ongoing, the employee (Jacquez?) that is tending to me decides he's going on break. How are you going on break when you're not done with your current customer?When I was in here last week, I waited no less than 30 minutes to pick up my phone because the employee that had it, in his pocket by the way, was coking and joking with two girls that were in there. This Apple Store needs serious improvement in customer service or "experience". The employees need name tags for one thing, when employees are with a customer they shouldn't be on break, or at the very least, hand them off to another employee, get designated "runners" for item pick ups. They need to tighten this place up. People are paying serious money for items and service to have lackadaisical service from employees that act like they're doing you a favor. I had a recent Apple Genius Bar appointment at the Apple Store located in the St. John Town Center because I needed assistance with updating my computer to the newest software program. I don't enjoy doing it over the phone since I am computer illiterate so I decided to go to the store. To set up the appointment, I requested a chat with a representative and then asked the phone representative to set up an in-person appointment with me (which was very simple). They had appointment available all hours (morning/ afternoons and evenings) and for every day of the week. I do advise to go during regular working hours like in the am on the weekdays because there will likely be less people throughout the store. I was assisted promptly by Edgar who is an Apple. He was so sweet and patient with me. Walked me through the installation process and was capable of doing the software install in 30 minutes versus the 5 hours it took me to try to install the software from home. But it wouldn't download and that was because I didn't have anymore space on my hard drive. As the software was downloading, I asked about all the Apple iPads and found one that I wanted to buy my father for Christmas that was a reasonable price of $300. Worst experience in Apple Store. My wife and I drove up from Ormond Beach to purchase an iPad Air M3. When we arrived we were promptly greeted at the door and told to wait along side the iPad display table for a specialist. The specialist was currently working with another customer. After about 30 minutes my wife and I walked over to the iPad accessory display to pick out an iPad case. The specialist was still working with the same customer and was showing him iPad accessories. We walked back to the iPad display stand and another Apple employee asked us if we needed help. We said that we have been waiting for a specialist to assist us with our purchase. She said that " we had to stand in line again" since (by this time) four other people/couples had also asked to speak with a specialist. We said that we had been waiting for over thirty minutes already and she told us we "shouldn't have gotten out of line". Really? There wasn't a line per se, we were told to just hang out behind the iPad display. The specialist knew we were waiting because we had actually advised his customer which iPad case we preferred - and the specialist thanked us for sharing our views. At this point we became frustrated and simply left without purchasing the iPad Air or case. Come on Apple. Hire more help or cross-train your personnel. We spoke with three other Apple teammates that all said they couldn't help us and that we had to speak with a specialist. The only specialist helping people with iPads had been dealing with a single customer for over forty minutes but the time we finally left. We had patiently waited for the specialist but because we walked twenty feet to pick out an iPad case we were told we'd have to wait in line again. Terrible customer service and unlike anything we've experienced before with Apple. We've been loyal Apple consumers - and significant shareholders - for years. Very disappointing experience. My MacBook Pro needs a new battery. Tech support tells me different things. People at the store tell me different things. They insist a laptop must be left there for 5-7 days for a battery replacement. Why can't they order a battery and when they receive said battery, call me and I'll bring the laptop back for the installation. Horrible customer service on top of horrible parking near that store. Very easy Black Friday experience. They were very busy, but a majority of the people in the store were just looking at the displays vs. waiting in line to be helped. I honestly don't know where to start. I've been buying IPhones and Apple products for a couple of decades now and my experience with this Apple store has been a disaster from the start. This location is very crowded and understaffed, it's unpleasant; they were telling people that it's a 3 hour wait to buy a product if you don't have an appointment. The joke is on the customer though, because they only offer appointments to demo the overpriced virtual reality gadget, not to actually have help with a problem that they created. Here's the problem that they created: I bought a new iPhone online as part of the iPhone upgrade program, which means that you're supposed to turn in the old phone at the time of picking up the new phone. Sounds simple but the person helping me had no idea about it and told me that my trade in kit will arrive in the mail. The order status shows that I need to return it to the store. I can't reach anyone at the store and multiple attempts to chat online with Apple, call Apple, text Apple, days of trying to resolve this issue with no help. Nobody at the store has reached out, and Apple is unable to help me, it's up to the store itself. This might be my last Apple product, I'm very fed up and tired and stressed out about this whole situation. Apple has really gone downhill!! *Update* Went back into the store after repeated attempts to return it online with Apple have failed. I was assured by a manager that I would be in and out of the store within about 15 minutes and I was sadly mislead. He wasn't in but he assured me that there were notes on my account and that I would be helped efficiently by someone. I was not... instead I was met with an unpleasant person who I basically had to plead with to check the notes and that I'm supposed to be helped by a manager. A manger finally comes out and immediately says that they're busy, but someone should be out shortly to help me out. A half hour goes by and I finally get assigned to someone... Someone who has to finish up with a big group of people before they can help me. So, here I am, standing in the middle of an Apple Store surrounded by crowds of people and nowhere to sit and wait. It took so long in the Apple store that I'm now having to leave and come back later... this is the worst, most unprofessional store I have ever shopped in. I wonder if Apple is trying to kill off its retail stores and go online only with its sales??? *Update* It took 3 trips to the store, at least a dozen different attempts to call and chat with Apple customer support and to this day, the store itself doesn't answer its phone; so I couldn't speak with anyone there, but it's finally done. Here are some things that I learned along the way in my "journey". 1. This store is very busy, there are maybe one or two helpful people there, everyone else does not care or maybe they aren't paid to care. 2. Apple and Apple stores might as well be two entirely different companies. Even if you buy something online, as soon as you choose to pick it up in the store you are stuck only getting customer support/dealing with the actual store and this one doesn't answer it's phone. 3. For some reason you can't accomplish anything by calling Apple support, don't even try the chat online support; they are awful. 4. Even if it's their mistake in the first place, be prepared for a long and painful process. Even if a manger assures you that it will be a quick process, it won't be. They will have you wait, standing, in the middle of a crowded store for eternity. Be warned people, this is one of, if not the worst experience I have ever had with a store and customer service. UPDATED. November 11, 2019 I truly have to commend Daryl for his outstanding customer service. He assessed what my needs were for the phone and rather than trying to upsell me he was very honest about what I needed. Even when I try to look at a more expensive phone because of the size he explained to me why the other was better. He demonstrated true genuine concern for what my needs were and not what I wanted. AT&T needs to recognize the outstanding service this young man delivers. If you are in need of a new phone this is the person to go see. Daryl will not lead you wrong!! Going to the Apple store is like car shopping - it takes forever and they take all your money! Seriously... we arrived at 9:40am bc the store opens at 10am. We were third in line! Thankfully they had someone checking people in while we were standing in line. He explained that to purchase a new phone and watch we just had to go to the table in the middle of the store. However, the employee at this table told us she could only help us with the watch. She took our order and passed us onto another employee who then asked us what we were looking for in a new phone. Answered the questions and then on to another employee. You can see where this is going.... After working with 7 different employees, being in the store for 2 1/2 hours and spending over $1500 we finally had our new phone and watch. I love Apple products, but there must be a better and more efficient way to help their customers! read more

Horrendous Customer Service! Apple Store, St. Johns Town Center, disappointed me, as they did not have the battery in stock for my 13 Pro. I made the appointment on Tuesday 01/14/2025 at 1235 hours to have my battery replaced on Thursday 01/16/2025 at 1445 hours. I counted on this store to have the battery in stock. I traveled 15 miles to face their lack of customer service. Knowing my appointment was over 48 hours later, they should have already had that in stock. What kind of business is this Apple store running - a Mickey Mouse BS operation, to put it mildly, I say. It would have been appropriate for them to notify me in real-time of the battery inventory status at the time I made the appointment. But no, they led me to false hope. Their minuscule minds don't seem to realize that cell batteries are small footprint storage - it doesn't take much space to store them. Their inventory and policy and procedures are totally unacceptable POS. I am not happy in the way they handled the outcome of my appointment - total disrespect to a long-time iPhone user, starting out with 3GS back in the days. This Apple store is not reliable. I had a great experience on this visit to the Apple store. It's quite a drive from my house but it was well worth the trip. I came to get my Apple Watch repaired. The store itself was very well organized and secure. I had to sign up for an appointment before hand and when I got there I understood why. There was a line but it moved along pretty quickly. I was late but I still was seen within 15 minutes of arrival. The staff was friendly and helped me get the service I needed. I got confirmation today that my watch would be replaced for FREE and that the replacement was on the way to me. I don't think I could have had a better experience. read more

Apple redeemed themselves today! Went in to Best Buy on an appointment to get my phone repaired. Sat for over 2 hours then told I have to go to the Apple store... grr. Went to Apple. Walked in and told they could help me in 30 min. So put my name in with phone number and walked next door for some food. 30 min later they text me they are ready. Went in and the service rep was extremely nice and helpful and resolves all my issues and then some. I'm very happy with my outcome and happy with my iPhone 8+ that is back to working perfectly. The store has moved down the road from the original location now it is twice as big and still just as slick. There is so much technology to be had it's really just fun checking it all out. Anyway, with multiple iPhones and MacBook Pro computers and IMacs and iPads, my office is definitely stocked with Apple products and I will be keeping it that way. read more

I've always had a seamless experience at this store. For both visits, I made an appointment online prior to arriving. The first years ago was made by an Apple Care associate and the more recent was just made online by myself. I called Apple sometime during the quarantine to check if something was wrong with my battery but since the stores were closed, the closest Apple-certified repair was (surprisingly) in Gainesville. Since I was in no rush and my issue wasn't preventing me from using my phone, I opted to wait it out until the stores reopened. My Genius Bar reservation confirmation email prepped me with all the details of my visit: social distancing measures (i.e mask requirements & possibility of waiting in line), reminders to back up my data and upgrade my software if I didn't already. I had my own mask but Apple also provides disposable masks. There's also an associate stationed at the door so no-mask, no-Apple store, folks. Upon arrival, I was directed to a covered tent area around the corner from the Tory Burch to get my temperature checked and other Covid screening questions. Apple associates were checking in customers at the tent who either had appointments or were just visiting/shopping and directing customers to the appropriate line (luckily mine was the short line!) I overheard someone say the next open Genius Bar appointment was 6/18 so I guess I really lucked out with my appointment that I made just the night before! I love that the store wasn't crowded compared to my previous pre-Covid visits. It seemed so peaceful inside. Associates were wiping down areas too. If you need to service on any Apple product, I highly recommend calling the Apple Care prior to visiting the store. It's as simple as saying, "Hey Siri, call Apple Care". They can run a diagnostic remotely and, if needed, they can also schedule your in-store visit too. They confirmed my phone pick up time before I left (2ish hours). I did go through the same temperature check when I returned for my pick up but my wait was very short & checkout was easy-peasy. I realize people are either Android users or Apple all the way but customer service at Apple is a win-win for me. read more

OK OK OK OK Update and this is a positive update. I revisited the store today 4-25-2018 with a 615pm appointment. After many conversations with Apple supervisors over the course of a month I was granted a exception by one of the supervisor, Hector, who found that the first few associates I had spoken to ( on the phone, and not a store associate) did not handle my case positively nor properly. I was granted an exception to receive a new battery for my iPhone 7 and was extremely satisfied with the end result. Once in the Apple store Apple technician , Roger, who was my main POC was very welcoming , informative, personable, and helpful. Not only did Roger walk me through what was going on he also ran another diagnostic on my phone finding several issues with it. Long story short, Rogers customer service skills and experience in the Field deemed that I qualified for a new iPhone 7 at no cost. I was happy he went the extra mile to pin point the issues that I didn't even know were affecting my phone. Once the ball was rolling Roger introduced me to his supervisor, Gerard, who was also very accommodating valuing the fact that I was a customer of Apple products for the last 12 years. He honored the fact that customer loyalty for a good product and service was his number one priority and that a happy customer was his goal. I was also in contact with Matt, who took over the closing of my trip to the Apple store. Assuring that all my pictures, emails, logs , and log ins where running and my phone was working properly. I really appreciate the customer service these three gentlemen exhibited and yes I will remain a loyal Apple customer for years to come. Kudos for redeeming yourself Apple and Thank You!! Set an appointment by calling the store number Walking in without an appointment means having a walk in appointment made which doesn't give you a guaranteed time for your appointment this means you are given a time to return and check to see if they are ready to see you at that time much like you would when a restaurant takes your name and tells you to return later. please have a current backup and a device with software that is up to date before coming in for service or to buy a new device. If your not sure how to backup your device or update software before coming in give the store a call they are great at walking you through the process and this will help make your experience here a breeze trust me. read more

The apple store is always a fun place to play, learn, and get assistance. Friendly and knowledgeable staff always put you at ease and provide quality experiences. When driving by the store you might get deterred because it looks like there are a swarm of people waiting. However, as my friend found out, when you enter you are met by someone who welcomes you, finds out your needs, and escorts you to an area where you may sit and have your needs met in a timely fashion. (At least that's how it's been for me each time I've visited.) I like that they offer classes to adults and children whether or not you have an apple computer and classes are free. All you have to do is go online a schedule them. An employee suggested this to me since I didn't know what computer would be best for me. So, I get to learn while figuring out which apple computer best suits my needs. My niece is 9 and she was informed about a class and app for kids who want to learn code. 4 stars out of 5 because parking can be rough.
