There's a reason you see so many 1 star reviews here. Genius bar and reservation system is a waste of time. Forget making an appointment, as they take you first-come-first-serve. After waiting an inane amount of time (typically 20min past if you made an appointment), someone will saunter over. They'll either do the same diagnostic tests you can do yourself at home, or just try to sell you something. It's bullshit. First time I went to fix my aunt's phone, they effectively did nothing to fix it and then told her to buy a new one. Second time they told me I needed to replace my 2 year old Beats which die after 30min when fully charged because they 'couldn't service them'. Like I said, bullshit. Why would I spend money with a company that can't make quality products that last? There won't be a third visit. There are some friendly people (1 woman in particular), but the guys here just don't give a shit. Save your time and aggravation. Made an appointment to have my battery replaced - only to find out they don't stock batteries and I'd have to come back. The staff is great but why would you make an appointment knowing someone is coming in for a battery and not have it in stock???? I received an email that my part is in (5/5) and I have to come in by 5/10 (less than a week) otherwwse it may be given to another customer. Poor performance by Sales team at Westchester Mall in White Plains, NY. I stopped by at the Apple Store in the Westchester Mall today a about 11:00 AM to buy the new iPhone 17 Pro 512GB in silver and a black Tech case, no trade in. I provided this information to the greeter and he informed me to wait in the display area. After waiting for more than 10 minutes i noticed that several people that walked in after me were seeing Apple sales people for tech repairs and other support related topics. When I asked one of the Apple reps why these individuals received preferred treatement I was told that service calls have priority over sales calls. After about 20 minutes I lost my patience and left the store empty handed. What a waste of my time. I think I will defer my purchase by a year. read more

I am a android guy but I took a chance to see why my cuzs apple phone is not turning on and apple the Westchester store at the Westchester Mall was able to solve the problem in 2 minutes with no cost to me or cuz. It's strictly apple products for sale , service , repairs , etc, and the staff working seem to be very knowledgeable about the gadgets . So we wrote a review about the Verizon store in the Arcadian shopping center in Ossining NY. We left out half the story though. It's exhausting. We feel the need to inform everyone about this because it's almost unbelievable. So we drag our sorry selves all the way to White Plains. You can't make an appointment unless you call AppleCare. I don't even think you can do it online anymore. So it's a big giant hassle and they can only make an appointment about 10 days in advance. We have been to the store before and you could hear the screaming and yelling at the customers from 100 feet away. We did not want to go to the store but it's impossible to live without some kind of robotic device now. There are not any payphones left. How did that happen, why did that happen? I wonder who was behind that? So in any case we go to this stupid authorized Apple store and the guy whose name I have but I'm not gonna say it first says that the CD that is stuck in our old laptop is not stuck. There's a giant note on it , name of the CD and the date it got stuck: one of our favorite CDS and part of a collection so one cannot buy it singly one must pay a fortune to buy the whole collection and it was a gift from someone who is gone. So the guy from the genius bar, that always makes us laugh cynically takes it in the back comes back and lies to our face and says there was no CD in it. Trying to control ourselves we ask him to look at our phone which is over five years old and had malware on it. He says nothing is wrong with your phone and then starts complaining that he has a nine month old baby that keeps him up and cries all night and yada yada yada yada yada. Listen buddy, we have enough problems of our own. You had no intention of helping us you're not going to help us. We could've made a big fuss but we were exhausted by the BS. So when my family bought me a phone for my birthday and Christmas and whatever, I said anything but an Apple phone please. So what do they buy me? You know. So all my pictures of my dead loved ones are on this stupid phone and you can't buy another phone because Apple refuses to properly transfer your information no matter what they say. I lost years and years of writing and poems and essays when I transferred from my horrible Dell to my Apple laptop. Last week I made an appointment with apple to have my iphone service (battery change) but when I got here the place is almost packed (mid winter break) and I noticed kids and parents are in the crowd. I was greeted by one of the staffs and told me to wait by the cube seats. After 5 minutes of waiting and look like all the staffs were busy I decided to leave the place and made a reservation again for the next week. The next week came, the Apple store is a lot less busy this time. Same procedure as last week, a staff verified my appointment with, had a seat by the cube seats and this time a staff is already available to help me out my phone's issues. Cedric was very friendly and accommodating and he informed me that it will take 45 minutes for the battery change. I disabled the Find iPhone, signed the work authorization and handed him my phone. So I have 45 minutes and off we go to the Savor, grabbed some burger and fries/tots, checked out the retailers and went back to the Apple Store. Another staff greeted me and my phone is ready. I checked the battery settings and it showed 100% capacity. Device life extended to my aging iphone. Thanks Apple! read more

Upon entering this very welcoming bright Apple Store the energy of the quick and vibrant atmosphere distracted me from an already crappy day. Me and a coworker browsed for a bit, but he knew exactly what he wanted, the AirPod pros that just came out. The lack of one star was because trying to get help seemed virtually impossible. I had to go up to a Tech who never looked me in my eyes once and ask for help. He seemed reluctant, I mean very bothered, and then an Apple Tech God appears, Cienna, who maybe saw his frustration or mine. Welp Cienna was actually very very helpful and we received what we needed in less than 5 mins. Maybe it was longer but Cienna kept me and my coworker distracted with great convo! I avoid Apple Stores if I can - mainly because I prefer buying Apple products online or at Costco since I have a membership. Also, the stores are almost always crowded. However, my old phone was acting up and since I was due for an upgrade I decided to take the plunge and get a new one. Because of issues I've had in the past with having my phones shipped to me, I ordered and made an appointment online to pick it up here at The Westchester. This Apple Store has been in The Westchester Mall for years, and has recently undergone a major renovation which updated its facade and modernized its floorspace. Because of COVID, they were taking temperatures before entering and limiting the number of people in the actual store. I didn't mind at all - not only were they taking the necessary precautions, but it helped control the chaos that one usually finds at an Apple Store. Once I got inside I was taken care of by David. The entire process was pretty seamless - David guided me through the process step by step, and made sure that everything was taken care of. I decided to make some last-minute adjustments to my order which he handled very professionally. I was there for 30 minutes at the most, and overall I had a very good experience. While physically going to the Apple Store is not ideal for me, the processes they have in place due to COVID times has made things very efficient. read more

The Apple store at the Westchester Mall has abysmal employee hiring, training and management. The employees lost over 300 precious and imporant photos from my phone, through sheer ignorance, sloppiness, and incompetence. All I received after 2 hours on the phone with various customer service supervisors and a 40 minute trip back to the store, because they don't answer the phone, was an apology. They are sorry. They will train the employees better. And they are 'there for me' if I have any issues in the future. That's it. The sheer mindless arrogance is not surprising. I explained to the hip, cool employee that my old phone had trouble charging so I had decided to purchase a new phone, plus a wireless charger. She decided to upsell me, telling me that I had very limited storage on my old phone, so I needed to buy more cloud storage. But first she decided, aribitrarily to switch my iCloud on. I said, "what are you doing? Why did you switch that on?" She said, you don't want me too? I said I have no idea what the iCloud does so either turn it off or explain. She said: "it will give you a lot more stroage and back up all your data if your phone is ever lost or stolen. Plus you're already paying for it," I said okay. Late last night, I discovered that all of my EXTREMELY IMPORTANT recent photos on my old phone had been replaced by 400 of my photos from 2020 and 2021. All those old photos I had already put on my computer over 3 years ago, Now they had replaced my recent photos. When I called the customer service supervisor, she explained that because i had no extra storage on my old phone -- turning on the iCloud, pushed off my current photos. The store manager did not deny this. And they are sorry, that I had this experience. Sincerely sorry They will train their employees better, And you dear customer, we don't give a shit about, so get out of our store . read more

This is probably the best Apple Store I've ever visited and I've visited many in multiple states, including in and around the SF Bay Area. Multiple employees went out of their way to help me today and I left with a big purchase. This is a burner account, or I'd name drop, but honestly, every single person was a freaking delight and volunteered to work harder than they had to, It felt like the opposite if many stores. These people were asking me if i needed help (I wasn't asking them) and even if they were busy. They also never got distracted and just quit on me. Unlike Greenwich, which pretty much starts trying to wind down an hour before closing, this place works hard right up to the closing hour, even answering the phone when you call just before closing time. The 2 men who worked with me when I went to pick up my iPad were rude and rough with this customer and have completely ruined my "relationship" with the apple business. I'd purchased the order for cash and went to pick it up at Westchester in White Plains. They were not going to give me my order, insisting on seeing something in the email sent to me which I did not print, nor did I bring the iPad in to the store. I was told on the phone to bring my license or some picture ID, which I did. Nothing else was mentioned. I called apple support from the store to see what I needed for the pickup. They did NOT mention anything but picture ID. I will never return to this store. They only released my iPad when I protested and insisted on speaking with the manager. The people who work here truly know what they're doing. It's such a mercy to receive great customer service these days. Lawrence had the patience of a saint while waiting for me to deal with Verizon (the nadir of customer service) as they upgraded my mom from a flip phone to an iPhone. Verizon took hours but he was supportive and helpful and sympathetic. And Eric was great in terms of convincing my elderly mom she'd be able to learn an iPhone (her first). Broke my computer, wanted $500+ to fix it. I brought my iMac in to fix the bluetooth. When I got it home, my USB ports were broken, because the ports were misaligned with the holes in the case, pressing against them the case (now bent), because the case was put back on incorrectly after the repair. They told me that because the ports were attached to the logic board, I had to replace the whole logic board (even though they broke it) for $500+. I asked them twice to have the one helpful person there (Chris) call me, and they forgot both times. Went on eBay and bought the same model used for less than the repair. read more

Just left the Apple Store in the Westchester Mall where I went to the Genius Bar for help with my watch. After spending 10min in a pool, my watch stopped working and then the screen popped off due to water damage....possible battery swelling as indicated on a number of blogs. Clearly this product was not water resistant as advertised. I am 40 days post warranty. The guy( thought his name was Eric) could have cared less. He couldn't have been more unsympathetic. And what's worse, is this is clearly happening to others so they know there is a problem. My watch was $800 and he said I needed to buy a new one. We have 20+ apple products between gadgets, services and home accessories. He wouldn't even offer some sort of deal. We couldn't be more disappointed in our local store or Apple. Apple Store The hard drive on my Macintosh failed and I brought it to the Apple Store for repair. I thought that the drive would be replaced before my husband and I left on a cruise on March 8. Before we returned, the store and the mall were closed until further notice, but the email I received indicated that my computer would be at the store and ready for pick-up when the store reopened. It's been about two months, and I was editing a video, so I was at a loss because my external hard drive does not fit my PC. I called Apple Support and was told I would get a loaner until the mall reopened! Now that's extraordinary customer service. I have had Apple computers since 1978 when 48K was state of the art. On September 10, 2015 I came to this Apple Store (not my usual outlet) to pick up my Macbook which I'd already bought on-line. The service staff at this Apple Store that I dealt with were dismissive, uninterested and reflect very poorly on Apple as a company. I am a physician, not an IT worker and had several questions about my new Macbook Pro. The Apple rep assigned to me answered questions with single word answers, perplexed "WTF" expressions and clearly couldn't wait for me to leave. Very specifically I asked if anything was different between my old laptop and the new one I was picking up. Answer: "No." I asked again explaining that I was not fluent in computer. His answer, "MacPro MacPro same thing." I was angry and discontent when I got back to my office to note that the power cord was remodeled and that the old power cords don't fit the new machine. Wish I'd known, I'd have bought two more cords additional to remain at two separate work sites. I was irritated when I tried to connect to the internet and found that there is no ethernet port on the new Macbook Pro. One of my work sites has plug-in only. Had I known, you could have sold me two proper connectors. Not only is the customer service lacking and dismissive but compared to other Apple retail outlets you should be ashamed. Furthermore, I filled out Apple's post-purchase survey and requested/consented to talk with a representative from Apple. No one has called, emailed or contacted me. Well all I can say is that I had nothing but bad experiences with this store. The apple staff walking in ask if they could help but suddenly turns into "go to the guy at the genius side, he will help you ". Made an appointment for my mom's phone (faulty display) and for my MacBook Pro (faulty display). Was seen promptly and both items were replaced/repaired. The iPhone was replaced at half the cost of replacement as it was out of warranty but they knew it was a hardware issue and not caused by the user. The MacBook Pro's display was replaced free of charge as it was under warranty. There was an issue with the phone's backs up but without rambling on too much they were greatly accommodating. Thanks to their patience and great customer service my mom didn't loose any of her pictures or information on her phone. My Mac was repaired within the hour so I was able to use it for class the next day (today). Huge thumbs up to the employees here. And a Huge THANK YOU for going above and beyond to the MacBook customer service staff as well as the guys on the floor. Very disturbed by the poor customer service provided under Donna, the store manager. After consulting with and being EXPLICITLY told by an Apple Online Customer Service Agent to briefly come into the store to have a faulty cable swapped (Chat Log Available too), I was told by Donna I would have to pay to have the cable replaced. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Had I had known this, I would have just bought the wire online through Amazon Prime instead of having to spend 2 Hours and mall parking fees to get to the Apple Store. After this incident, I contacted Apple directly. They were very apologetic and are providing me with a new cable without charge, as originally told when I first contacted Apple about my issue. Three different employees (one of them named Will) told me the Apple Pencil would work on my iPad Air 2. They assured me it would work. I went home, which is an hour away from the store, and what do you know? It doesn't work. Tried getting help by calling multiple specialists/agents (the only names I got were Linda and Jeff). They either hung up on me or couldn't help me with my problem. I called the store asking to speak to the manager and was transferred twice. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and no one answered. I just returned from the Apple store at the Westchester. Let me preface this review by saying I've been an apple customer for as long as I can remember and have been a long time fan of the brand. I've frequented many apple stores where I've recieved exemplary customer service that is expected from a brand that stands behind its product and unfortunatley I experienced quite the opposite this evening. I had been up at the apple store earlier today and was told to come back later as the iphone 6 would be delieved that evening and to check back. I work at the mall and that's not a problem for me so come 5:30pm I went back upstairs to check in on the situation. They were still out of iphone 6's (not the issue I had) but the delivery of the news was completley rude and offputting. When I inquired on timing and asked for a opinion I was belittled and mocked. I could care less that I have to wait to recieve an iphone 6 however... the delivery of the information was so upsetting to me as a long time loyal apple fan. I'm shocked that such a brand would hire such incosiderate staff. I understand people have hard days and I work in customer service, I get the reality of the business. There is no excuse to treat me like a child or make a mockery out of my questions. I went back 2 hours late and in the next 30 minutes I got the same excuse for them not to have finished the service. I went to the Apple Store at the Westchester Mall to simply return a 2 month old charger on an iPhone 5 that went bad. I arrived at the store at 3:00PM and was told that I had to make an appointment to make a return at 5:20PM. I put my name on the list, had lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe, which, by the way, is awesome and returned to the Apple Store for my appointment. When I arrived they didn't have my name on the list. After a few words with the customer service rep, my name magically appeared and I was still told I had to wait. When I shared my frustration with the rep, he told me, "I know how you feel".
