One of my told me I needed to update it and one thing led to another, and I had ultimately lost the use of my only email address. To somebody like me that's very scary. I didn't buy my phone or my iPad at the Walt Whitman Apple Store, but I brought each of them into the store with the barest of bare hopes that somebody could help me. Within minutes, I met two or three people who ultimately brought me to a gentleman by the name of Jared.. Jared will never know how scared I was and how much I needed help. He treated me as if I was his favorite uncle .He really cared about my concern and had this incredibly wonderful positive that made me feel like everything was going to be OK. When I fumbled when trying to help him help me in the most wonderful way with me and made me feel confident. And somehow minutes later he had pressed gosh how many buttons and entered so many codes and my phone was fixed and my email worked. I tried to pay him and he wouldn't accept any payment. The truth is there's no amount of money that would've been enough to pay him for how he helped me and how important that was for me. Thank you Jared so so much. They told me that it needs to go out for 5 days, but I could get the second generation of the same watch for $250 and get a $50 dollar credit for my old watch. I came here before Christmas to pick up an Apple Watch (iWatch??) for my wife's present. I ordered online and opted for an in-store pickup. While I never entered the actual store, my experience was top notch. I checked in with an Apple employee outside of the store. They scanned my receipt and then took my temperature to make sure I was clear from Covid (a minor inconvenience but I appreciate the gesture). After my check in, I was assigned a spot to stand in outside the store. A few minutes later, another Apple employee came out to check my ID and mentioned he'd be right back with my purchase. He came back a few minutes later and I was on my way. I don't visit this store often as I'm an Android kinda guy but my experience here was solid. I'd recommend buying Apple products here! read more

When I was finally ready to make the huge purchase I returned and was not pleased with my interaction with one of the staff members. I've been to this Apple store a few times during our current pandemic. I will say that covid procedures fully in place! They even take your temperature before you go into the store. It also appears that they keep the store capacity low so that there aren't many people in the store at once. All employees are wearing masks and ready to help you with your needs and questions. Both times I went to the store I needed to make a purchase. I was in and out fairly quickly, but I wasn't rushed. The workers took their time with me and provided excellent customer service and made sure I was satisfied with my purchase prior to leaving. My only advice is to make an appointment prior to going in order to be in and out in a reasonable amount of time. read more

I recently purchased my first ever ipad and it was an absolute breeze at this Apple store, location within The Walt Whitman Mall. I ordered it online that evening and they sent me an email on my phone when it was ready to be picked up. I waited only about 5 minutes on their queue outside of their door and was back in my car no less than 15 minutes later. It's funny, I was one of the first to ever purchase an ipod touch "back in the day", which seems like yesterday. Anyhow, I'm loving this thing, which seems light years beyond the first gen ipod touch I remember playing with at a friends house. With the addition of the apple pencil, this device become my go-to medium for drawing and painting within a week of owning it. read more

This must have been the worst experience I've had with Apple. I wanted to buy AirPods after work one day and figured to stop at Apple in Walt Whitman after the Holiday rush. I noticed there were security outside the store and they weren't letting anyone into the store. I asked if I could purchase AirPods or if there were any in stock. I wasn't even able to talk to any of the employees who were standing at the front of the store not helping any customers!! The security guard informed me that I would have to make a purchase through the apple store on my iPhone and select rapid pickup. I went on my phone and selected the AirPods and noticed that the earliest pickup time was for the next day, the earliest, at 10 am. I informed the security guard who radioed to the employee standing approximately 12 feet away from me. The employee said to have me just buy the airpods and "see" if I'll get an email that I can pick up early. I purchased the AirPods and waited outside for 30 minutes. I asked if they could get my order. The employee radioed to the security guard that I had to call Apple Customer service rather than speak to an employee there. What is going on? There is a physical person THERE and I have to call someone remotely? After connecting to customer service, the representative informed me that the earliest I could pick up was what was listed when I purchased the AirPods and he didn't know why I was informed that it could be done earlier. I was SO frustrated being mislead and wasting my time. People want us to go into stores and make purchases in person rather than online but this whole process was absolutely a waste of time and in reverse. I ended up wasting almost an hour of my time and went to Best Buy next door and had the best customer service and was in and out. DON'T Waste your time and energy at this store. read more

I went in for a replacement of my battery today with my Apple care. I went to pick the phone up and was told my face ID and password were not working. they told me they were going to order another part. at this point I said absolutely not. the guy went in the back and now they are getting me a new "refurbished phone." My new battery is of no use to me as now I cannot use face ID and have to manually type it in and cannot even shit the password promot off. My screen protector was also given back to me sticky not on the phone and ruined, so I ordered another one. I got my phone back in worse condition than I left it in. Never again. Garbage customer service. No one approaches you even though we clearly looking to be served.

Be vary wary of the genuis bar here. I brought my phone in for service, it failed diagnostics twice before booting up, they said to order a "minor repair" part that would take 1 hour to change out as I wait to prevent the issue from happening again. When asked what the part was the answer was "I don't know, it's hardware." When it comes in, I schedule the repair, arrive and am told it's "at least a 2 hour highly involved repair that will likely need reactivating by (my carrier) after but (she) can try to call on my behalf." Fine. Over 2 hours later I get my phone, she won't call the carrier, fine, I go on my own. They're asking me where my original phone is when, to my knowledge, this was my phone as she never stated otherwise at pickup. Once it's set, my phone is still registering at the Apple Store and it turns out the one I was given is actually new and not my original phone. No one had me wipe any information, delete personal information, sign out of apps, turn off "Find My," or anything. The next day, I called Apple corporate, they said to call the store. I tried calling 14 times starting 2 minutes after open - got redirected to the "Genius Bar Manager" each time, it would ring for 4 minutes and hang up. Apple corporate escalated twice and confirmed with 2 separate senior advisors that my account was still logged in and active on the old device while screen sharing my current device. They finally got on the line with the repair department. The tech was 100% unhelpful, talking over me, saying how "thorough they were" and for phones like mine that don't turn on, there's no chance that's true. When I told him my phone was on and confirmed on with the tech I left it with, he had no answer. He then asked me why they didn't have me wipe it / logout if I was getting a new phone, to which I said I had no clue it was new and no one said to when I was there. He said they sent my part to recycling and it therefore could not be checked. The manager called me back saying that it was not the process to have you sign out of your device, or to tell you when a device was replaced, and just because it shows on find my and my Apple ID, it's not connected. He offered no other reassurance other than saying I'm sorry you feel that way when I said I was upset over the situation and that his story differed 100% from 4 corporate liaisons and his own employee. He would also later say they had too many calls to answer mine, but I doubt for a solid hour with no response and no hold, that's actually true. Choose what you want to believe. This whole process was extremely shady and aggravating. I will never be returning to this store, and highly recommend you double check your devices or sign out of all your apps if you do. I'll be continuing to reset every password I have as I have 0 confidence in this store. read more

Came back at 9:30, doors were open with concierge attendants taking names and respective issues and putting me on a wait list. I had José assist with getting things cued up so as to speed things up when I got in. Appreciated! Text messages to advise of your appt time. Got my text promptly at 10am and was directed back to the Genius Bar. Was provided customer service promptly. Without getting into the nature of my iPhone issues, was out by 10:30 with loaner phone in hand, all ready to use and advised of approximate time for repair or replacement and that I'd get a call and email when ready. I had a problem with my iPhone 14. I thought it was my speaker. I did s a chat with Apple, they were great with diagnostics however they said I need to bring it in to tech first Apple. I brought it into Best Buy who was able to test it and said it was mid/rear. I didn't know what that was however the recommended the Apple Store innWalt Whitman mall. I drove there, walked into the store, I took about 8 steps, a tech stopped me and said give me about 2 mins. He was back, took my info and tested my phone, then another tech said it can be fixed and I can leave it there. In 1 1/2 hours my phone rear motherboard as they called it and a new battery, they advised it's like getting a new phone. I had the coverage so it didn't cost me anything, however if I didn't it would have been $499. They were awesome! I would give this store 5 stars! read more

I am at this location right now purchasing what seems like the 100th apple product of my life. This time I'm with my 84 year old mother getting her a phone and watch since she lives alone and falls down a lot. The woman who we were first working with was fantastic. Very patient and explained all options. The person we were handed off to at the Genius Bar was awful. He kept reminding us that he we working for multiple customers and did not explain anything. He was more interested in showing old mom how to set up her device than use it. I'm obviously the person who will be setting it up. We left with a phone that couldn't even receive texts. The Genius Bar staff have always been helpful and do their job efficiently and properly (patiently too as they certainly deal with a lower level of intelligence). I went in to purchase an iPad so I had to work with a sales person and not the Genius Bar associate originally helping me with my issue. They added my name to a "list" and told me no one has waited more than 25 minutes. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked where I was on the "list" and was advised there were 7 people ahead of me. I left and went to Best Buy. Someone was immediately available there and was an excellent help. They also had the same iPad as the Apple store that I went to buy, for $150 less. Go to Best Buy.
