This location is horrible worse then Queens center mall which says a lot. Deb, the women working at the door failed to check me in even after I asked her after 20 minutes into my appointment. She said it'll be about another 10 minutes and an hour later I'm still waiting. I spoke with a manager who states I wasn't even checked in and that he doesn't see anything. Friendly employees helped me to complete a trade in for my Apple Watches. They also helped with my new iPhone pickup and told me I had to mail that one in to trade it in because of the way it was purchased. The employees here are so eager to help when you walk in the store. It can be a little overwhelming sometimes but if you have a lot to take care of I recommend finding a place to sit down. My old iPhone was shattered and I had AppleCare, so it was time for a replacement. There was someone to greet me as I entered the store and was told to sit in the back, within 8 minutes someone else came to greet me. This was very fast, a few pieces of information here and there and I was done. My wait came out to being longer because I had to backup, update and restore all in store. This was no one else's issue but mine, thus no stars being reduced because of wait time. When I had to get my replacement, I was sent to another area and within 3 minutes, my new phone was here. Sim was then replaced and I paid the free for replacing. That's it, straight to the point in a very fast manner. Very easy process as well, and a very spacious building with nice lively music playing to keep the mood up, I'll come back for my Apple needs. read more

Couldn't use my gift card unless I purchased for in store pickup. It said I had to wait for a text to pickup. 10 min late no text. To add insult to injury. I saw some yelpers complaining about not being allowed in more than ten minutes early. It's a pandemic and they keep their customers and staff safe, so I'm fine with waiting outside until it's time. I arrived ten minutes early. They scanned my QR code, took my temperature and had me stand in a socially distanced area. They had hand sanitizer and wipes. Wyatt led me from the queue to a large table away from others. I came in for keyboard repair and after a few tests, he set it up to be sent out for repair. He said it would be ready for pickup on 12/31, five days later. Wyatt and the rest of the Apple staff provided efficient and friendly service. I'll be back to pick up my laptop and its new keyboard. This is the worst Apple Store in New York. The manager, Anthony, and other employees are kind, so they really deserve that compulsory one star, but the service here makes this not a useful store. I need a battery replacement on my iPhone XS because the diminished battery throttles every other function of my device. My phone can only retain charge for a maximum of 2 hours, which is bad because I need it for RSA for work. I came to this location for a battery replacement, was told by Abel the batteries were not in stock, but was told "not to worry" as I would be "called in 3 - 4 days" and come in to have it replaced that day. Well no one called. I called the store for a few days and no one ever answered. I called customer support 10 days after my Genius Bar appointment to follow up and they told me that the Williamsburg Store cancelled my repair request and left no details on the ticket. As I have stated in my American Chinese takeout reviews, I can deal with bad customer service if the service/food is great, but this store provides the opposite, which is useless when I need the tangible service to be provided. read more

This store is always busy with customers, but there never seems to be enough staff members on site. I tried to preempt this and actually scheduled an appointment. Note that you'll still end up waiting for someone to assist you and when that person comes by they might not be equipped to answer any of your questions. The amount of times staff members that came up to me to state "you're interested in PURCHASING more than one item?" before someone came by to actually show me any of those items was ridiculous and a major deterrent. My favorite store is the one on SoHo and the only one I go to if I ever need the Genius Bar, since it is a much better experience than all the stores I visited. Everything is clearly outlined (the Genius Bar and classes are on it's on floor) and it never feels cramped. The staff also seem very knowledgeable and appointments are met promptly. read more

Our experience at the apple store was fantastic. They were efficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting an issue with my macbook pro and had it repaired in less than a week. I appreciated their honesty and how they kept me in the loop with periodic updates on the timeline for repair. When I went in to pick it up today there were no surprises. We had the pleasure of working with Alex who was also helped us purchase a new computer for our daughter. He was patient with us and took an interest in her needs to steer us in the right direction. In the end we left with a new computer, printer and iPad and could not be happier with the whole experience. I highly recommend this location and apple products. read more

My pick-up experience at Apple Williamsburg was terrible and Apple just failed to fulfill its pick-up commitment to its loyal customers. I believe I'm not the only one who experienced this issue and I felt helpless that no one from Apple was really trying to help me. I wasn't against any individual person. But, I was indeed disappointed by Apple's customer service in general. They pretended to help me but in fact, was not being helpful at all. Apple could just let me know when the order will be ready. Or, send me an email to apologize. Nothing sincere has been shown. I tried to file a complaint but found nowhere to do it on Apple's website. My intention is not to leave a bad review for the store, which I didn't do. I just hope someone could spot and fix their customer service and this big corporate attitude. Incredible inefficient. they don't know how to prioritize people. If you have a tiny minor thing that needs to be done, you need to make an appointment that leads you to a line that then leads you to another line. Then once you're in, even though your issue can be resolved in less than 3 minutes, it's in a queue for things that take literally hours so you need to end up coming back the next day (or later) even though you can literally fix the thing yourself if you just got your product back already. Please reevaluate your process, Apple. It's garbage and inefficient. read more

Some bad things and some good. The employees in person when you are in their presence at the location are very good at their job. I had an easy time dropping off a non working iMac and picking it back up a few days later. Their issue @ this location is their phone service. After dropping off my computer I was told I would be contacted. I received a formal email a few days later telling me I needed to contact the store by phone to get important info on what was happening with my product. Seems simple right? Nope. I called for 2 days straight and nobody picked up the phone at this location. I called the main Apple general number at my wits end a few times and then finally got them to connect me with someone at the store. I was told by an employee they don't have anyone that formally answers the phone as a job at this location. Ok, so then maybe change the wording in the email. Why did I have to waste my time calling with no results. Either hire someone that manages the phone or figure out a new way to help customers get information. read more

DON'T GO TO THIS STORE!! Some of their staff treat people very, very badly here. I went in because I got locked out of my own phone. I had dropped the phone and part of the touch screen stopped responding. They took it upstairs and after a very long wait, I was told it needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, they did not have my screen size in stock. After reminding the employee, Ms. Davis, that I had already been there for hours and really need my phone repaired. She wasted a ton of time telling me they could have it sent from another location, she then proceeded to tell me I really should just go somewhere else. She said, "Oh just run over to 14th Street, they have the screen there and it will be a lot quicker." She could clearly see I use a cane to walk. They made me stand around for hours and now they told me to hurry up and go somewhere else. This response of course is what was convenient for them, but not for me. I asked to speak to the manager, and she got to the manager before I did and they both started talking about me. As I approached them, Thaima, the "manager" said, "Oh she's coming." Thaima, also repeated the same thing and said that I really should go to 14th Street. My response was that I was already there for almost 3 hours and it was not my fault they didn't have the right size screen in stock. They both proceeded to blame me for having my previous phone screen installed by a "third party". I kept asking both of them, what difference does that make?? Apple is the one that allows the phones to lock people out, and Apple Store Williamsburg is the one who doesn't have my screen in stock. They were both arguing with me and telling me even if the new screen gets there by 7:30, they won't have time to fix it until the next day. I responded that why would that happen since I'm already in the queue. "Oh no, they shouted, You're not in the queue." I said, " Oh yes I am. I've been here since 2:30." Apparently, Ms. Davis and Thaima do not know how to think correctly. I told them I could be back by 7:00. They refused to let me leave my phone at the store. They both lied that they are not allowed to hold onto the customer's phone. I had already witnessed other customers leaving their phones there until the next day. I told them I need to get home and feed my pets, to which the nasty witch, Ms. Davis, responded, "Oh you'd better hurry up before they starve to death." I didn't expect this to end well since both of these horrible people were only trying to help themselves and not me. They spoke to me rudely, they lied repeatedly, and disregarded that I'm an older person who uses a cane, and that I had already been there 3 hours and was starting to get tired. When I returned at 7:00, they had already bad-mouthed me to the manager, Devon, and so it was Devon's turn to lie. His first lie was that they were having trouble with the "Calibrator" and were not able to do any repairs. I told him that he was lying and that I had just seen two phones being taken upstairs for repairs. He then lied a second time and said that the part hadn't come in. I told him, I just spoke to 2 different employees and both of them already told me the part had arrived to the store and was good to go. Devon, then proceeded to lie a third time by telling me the repair would take an hour and a half and therefore there was not enough time. I responded that he was lying and that a screen replacement takes 20 minutes, and that he had already wasted a half hour lying to me. You can see that these 3 employees behaved horribly, unprofessionally, and disgracefully to me, a customer. They think they are working there to TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES, BUT NOT THE CUSTOMERS. P.S.: If you need an iphone repair, once you find a reputable third party, they do a great job, they're fast, and much cheaper. For example, after this disgusting visit to Apple Store Williamsburg, I had my screen repaired in 20 minutes for 50% less money, and they also thanked me. The place is on 196 Broadway in Williamsburg. Ironically, it's only a few short blocks away from the Apple Store. read more

Some people seem super helpful and some are "on to the next" type of attitude. My phone needed to get fixed overnight. The person helping me get it back was like here's your phone have a nice day etc... you can back it up at the store or at home but might take a bit- less than 2 mins interaction. Since my phone was having issues I decided to stay at the store to update. First, they forgot to place in my sim card, another apple member was super nice and helped me figure that out and find it- since it took a bit but he was patient as the phone became locked. Then I'm updating the phone but it needs 20% of the battery to update- while my phone was being fixed it died. Hey apple why wouldn't you plug in my phone overnight after working on it? If I could leave a negative five stars, that would be my rating. I purchased a custom built macbook pro from the apple website, maxing out the specifications on it for my video editing needs. The problem started with that model macbook having a defective gpu. The mac started skipping, choking on video footage, exports take hours instead of seconds now. apple informed me it would have to be shipped back to apple, since the stores only carry base models, nothing near the build i have. which cost $6000. problem for me was, I physically could not part with the laptop for how many days because of work. Because of that, my apple care eventually ran out. i finally had time to get the repair done, so i took it to apple Williamsburg. they ran a diagnostics, needed a new logic board, it was going to cost me $700. all i needed was a copy of the diagnostics report and a receipt, then i could submit this thru my gear insurance to have the repairs paid for. the tech promised he understood the situation and would email it to me. but did not. After wasting hours on the phone for days, I had to schedule another visit to the apple store. Meanwhile repeated attempts to get the report from apple were unsuccessful so my insurance won't cover it. i took the macbook in, again. sat with the tech for over an hour describing the issue: the macbook needs a new gpu. the techs aren't testing the computer connected to external monitors to be able to diagnose what I already know. He promised me it would be taken care of, they were overnighting the laptop to the repair center. I'll skip the part where the FedEx driver actually tried to steal the laptop rather than deliver it to me when apple shipped it back. Which was fast, they overnighted it back and forth. I open the box, see the custom skin missing off my laptop. No reason that should've been removed since they were replacing the bottom piece and logic board, right? Wrong. Apple decided to just replace the display on my macbook without authorization. A display that worked just fine. this macbook is in pristine condition, it's been skinned from day one and sits closed in a macbook dock on my desk. I've barely ever even touched the keyboard.Not only did they make unauthorized repairs, but they captured my card 3 x's placing several thousand dollars on hold for over a week and a half. My laptop was never repaired, I have to go back, again. I've now missed 14 days worth of editing work because of the incompetency of the techs at this store, which is now in excess of $10,000 in wages I've lost with no working computer, and no backup to work on. Unfortunately I'll just have to wait as I don't have any other options but the techs at this store, although polite, are utterly INCOMPETENT in helping resolve this matter. Absolutely unacceptable that a brand as large as Apple thinks this is how to treat long term customers. read more
