I'm a first time homebuyer and really appreciated how detail oriented and thorough Scott was in his explanations. While obviously having a wealth of knowledge he explained everything in such an easy to understand way that someone with absolutely zero background in home repairs could easily keep up. Calling Applebach Home Inspections after being referred to them from our builder, was the BEST call made this year! Mr. Scott went "Above and Beyond" to make sure our 10 moth inspection was thorough. Mr. Scott noticed a slight gas leak during his inspection and saw that the Gas Company was across the street addressing an issue with our neighbor. Mr. Scott had the Gas Company come over and fix the issue, while he was there...that's what you call service!! The detailed report that was provided later in the day was easy to read and understand. The builder was impressed by the report and all the items on the report were taken care of, especially the block wall that had settled and was very loose. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Scott! At the advice of my realtor, I hired him for a pre-drywall inspection. He was able to fit us in despite a short notice. Being a first-time home owner, I wanted to get an understanding of what to look out for during an inspection with the builder. Scott was meticulous and professional. At the advice of our realtor, we brought Scott in to inspect our newly built home alongside our builder walkthrough. We're so glad we did! While we found paint touch-ups, nail pops, and drywall repairs, Scott was everywhere we couldn't get: on the roof checking tiles with the assistance of a drone, in the attic checking depth of insulation, using laser thermometers and thermal imaging to check for hot and cold spots... He left no plug untested and no drawer unopened. Afterwards he took the time to talk us through his findings using clear language and re-explaining at need. The report he provided to us and our builder is thorough, clear, and compelling and arms us well in any disputes, though thankfully his reputation after decades in the home-building industry mean his findings are heard and respected. Applebach Home Inspections inspected my newly purchased home today and since I could not be there, they allowed my son to video the inspection report. I can only say WOW! Scott Applebach arrived on time at 8:00am to do my new home one-year end warranty inspection in Laveen, Arizona. He explained me well in a friendly manner about the findings taking his time even longer than what he was planned initially. He is honest, accurate and detailed. He is professional and wore shoe cover during his indoor inspection time. He found a lot of items that need to be corrected/addressed and also has used drone for roof inspection. I worked with other inspectors for my previous houses, but Scott is really very detailed, organized, and provide me over 40 pages of report with different colored notes and pictures on same day. To be sure to have everything fixed that needs to be from the builders while still under warranty I needed a #1 Inspection Company. Didn't want anything missed. Scott was extremely polite and professional. He did a phenomenal job on my home inspection. His PDF that he sent is wonderful! It will be very helpful as there are great descriptions with pictures showing right where the item is that needs to be fixed whether that be on the roof, in the attic, or just the grout. Wow! We had an amazing experience in utilizing Applebach Home Inspections. Scott was extremely thorough, and we had him come out since our warranty time period is coming to a close. I called him yesterday and he was available today. He took his time and was at my house for 4 hours and 30 minutes. He informed me of things to look into while he was doing the inspection. If Scott had not come out to do our inspection, we would not have known that our breaker was faulty and needs to be completely replaced.
