Service was terrible, server acted like she was too good to be there or provide service unless you flagged her down, ignoring verbal request- even failing to bring the correct beverage. The food was cooked in a decent fashion, except the color of a steak (gray with a hint of pinkish), you could clearly see it'd been in a freezer for too long, maybe suitable for dog food. Even the ice tea tasted as if their brewer needed to be cleaned, similar to that of something that had spoiled. Our server, Annah, was amazing and she was super kind. However, two of our pasta dishes came out cold and one was missing the chicken tenders that came with it, and our mashed potatoes were cold. We had asked the manager nearby, Joesph, to talk to him about the situation, and he handled it very poorly, looking at us like we were stupid and asked if we would like new meals or a discount and came back and gave us $18 off, instead of comping the two cold meals. We asked why that was the case and he proceeded to explain and as the conversation continued it became more heated, which lead him to call us, the customers, entitled and our perception of customer service is wrong. We told him how he should not be treating customers like this, and that we will be leaving a bad review which led him to say "Then I don't have to give you any discount if you're going to leave a bad review." A customer near by stared at us the whole time, and called the manager over to him to "escape" our conversation. The manager walked away and turned around and smirked at us, and came back handed us the new bill and said "I took $50 off here you go you people." and started to walk away. We got upset at him and we said we wouldn't like to speak to him any further and he said "I would be happy to leave." Annah went ahead and brought out the General Manager to speak to us so we can explain the situation to him, and Joesph decided to come up to tell the GM that the people around us heard the whole situation, which was not needed at all. We told the GM everything and he said he would speak to Joesph, and that he was new here. But apparently in Joesph's 20 years in this industry, he hasn't dealt with "horrible entitled customers like you" at all. Hopefully Joesph won't be there much longer, because this location will suffer from his manager skills, or lack there of. I love the service at this Applebees!!!! Very very very polite young man working hard cleaned a booth for a few buddies and I and he was so quick and did an amazing job! I was happy to have a conversation with him and he awesome . While I was eating my meal, I see the young man working hard for everyone else and greeting everyone very politely and respectfully, smiling and loving his Job! My Mom received a giftcard to Applebee's so we decided to visit on a late Thursday afternoon during our annual time-share in Breezy Point. We ordered the endless BBQ ribs and breaded shrimp which was delicious! (Afterall, we were on vacation...no calorie counting) Ribs had plenty of meat and shrimp size was generous. First off they took forever to serve my girlfriend and I our drinks (which by the way were different in size but same price) secondly the food was HORRIBLE, cold dip and Tyson microwaveable chicken nugget quality wings. Ok I heated up the toaster oven and flash warmed it. The chicken wings were mushy and so hot they were not even sort of good. Inedible. The steak looked good. I ordered med rare and it was very rare. Into the toaster oven. I broiled for 4 minutes and it was still rare. I grabbed the horseradish from mom's refrigerator and cut a slice and was less than impressed. Tough and flavorless. Can't screw up a baked potato. Wrong. It was hard. A not nearly cooked baked potato. Into the toaster oven. Moms ribs were ok. Just ok. Potato raw and coleslaw was in mom's words "Horrible" cabbage not even chopped. Just bad. All in all, as I sit looking at all the bad food in front of me I guess I'm not hungry. Walked up in this establishment just hungrier than HECK. As soon as we crossed the threshold into the building we were sat immediately in the perfect spot right next to the bar. I ordered the Parmesan shrimp and steak and let me tell you what. That was bomb. I came in hungry and I left thoroughly satisfied. The only downfall was that when offered dessert I couldn't muster the stomach real estate necessary for the brownie bites. The greeters told us it would be a 30 min wait, 10 mins later we were told by the greeters that the manager said no more people will be allowed to sit whatsoever. We asked to talk to the manager and he refused to talk to us and tell us why. He also made the greeters almost come to tears with how he was talking to them. Absolutely absurd. Slow wednesday but very pleasant experience. Ordered a perfect margarita that was blended very well. Not too sweet but not too strong either. Ordered the salmon. It was nice and moist and the cajun flavor was not overpowering. Lastly my waitress Erica was very friendly and attentive. Checked up on me enough that I always had what I needed. I always have to wear my coat all through our meal and tonight I wore my husbands coat too. I think she would have rather have been anywhere than at work that day. Once our food was dropped off she never stopped back by again. She walked past our table numerous times so it would have taken no more than 2 seconds to ask how everything was. I have been a server myself and always tip 20% +. I took my mother to Applebee's today. We started out with front door service right away to a clean an neat table, our waitress brought us drinks and our appetizer almost immediately, the mozzarella sticks were absolutely superb. Then we moved to the actual food which came out in like than 10 minutes, and that food was absolutely perfect nothing wrong at all. They had it cooked right and all the right stud on both or burgers, we were amazed. Then on top of it the service like I said was absolutely astounding, had great music and the waitress Rosie was smiling and polite the whole time, definitely deserved her tip. This area has so much better to offer than the garbage they're microwaving at Applebees, and at a much better price with WAY better service. Completely dissatisfied with my eating experience, I mean when you can't even get all of your French fries cooked beyond freezing point that tells me that someone really doesn't care about their job and management isn't doing anything to make it better. I used to eat here all the time but lately it's seemed to really go down hill. I went there last night with my friend and it was some of the worst service I have ever experienced. Our waitress came to our table only 4 times. Once to get our drinks, then to take our order, once to bring our food and then the check. The food tasted old and some was overlooked and even burnt. It took over 20min to get our check after we had finished eating. We didn't get any refills on our pops and the waitress was very rude to us. Just ate there last night and came out incredibly upset. Not only was our waitress unengaged wth my wife and I, but she must have completely forgot we were her customers. The wait was inexcusable. The food didn't reach to our table til close to the two hour mark and that was just the appetizers. Not only was the wait long but the environment was the most unprofessional I've ever experienced at any restaurant. Our waitress ignored us when we were visually upset because of the wait, the lights kept dimming and getting brighter every so often, and the worst of all was the fact the kitchen staff (which was apparently so understaffed and busy) was yelling and singing loudly so the entire dining area could hear. Then the food came. Burger was over cooked and was just a regular bacon cheeseburger instead of a triple bacon like they said. My fries were soggy and the chili and cheese on top of it was cold.
