The Server "Emma" was very rude.... Evidently we came at the end of her shift, so her entire focus was to get us out of the restaurant as soon as possible so that she wouldn't have to work over.... She didn't allow us time to enjoy our meal and she started clearing the table before we were finished! Because she hurried us through the meal, we had a considerable amount of food left over and needed take home boxes....so what did she bring us?? These small boxes that weren't nearly big enough for the leftovers!! When we asked for napkins, instead of bringing full sized napkins, she brought us small bar napkins!! Her heart wasn't in serving the customers, it was in serving herself! When we were done, I asked for a refill to go and she brought me a small to go cup and I said that I was not finished with my drink and asked if I could have a fresh drink to go so she poured one for me but then we she came back to the table she said "Well I'm off the clock so I need to go, so can you give your drink, so that I can leave?!? Went tonight with 2 little ones and 3 adults. I didn't catch our servers name, she was blonde (Jade? Amber? Something?) I ordered an alcoholic drink & after 20 minutes I asked where it was. There were 2 other tables in the whole place and nobody at the bar. The dark haired bar tender was chatting it up with a customer at a table, so either my waitress didn't ring in the drink OR this lady just didn't care. Either way, my waitress didn't care to go check on my drink. I got the slushy and it was half ice chunks and watery. Anyway, back to the waitress. I ordered the fajita roll up that says it comes with chipotle ranch dipping sauce on the menu. No sauce came with it. I asked her and she literally dipped from the table and ignored me. Ok, that's fine. She came back with a water. Again, I tried to get her attention and she scurried away. Fine. The man at my table had to loudly say "MAAM" and she finally acknowledged me. Used curb side pick up for the first time here and it was terrible, despite ordering early and scheduling the pickup we still had quite a wait. We were given two salads, missing dressing. The salads were pitifully small. I mean, I don't even think they could have been side salads. There was about 1/2 once of chicken on them and I think I got about a half of a strawberry. The lack of dressing also made them awful. Anyways, now we are home, we Finished our two bite salads that totaled near 30$, and we need to order from somewhere else. We don't usually like big portions at restaurants, we ordered salads with grilled chicken because we are both pretty healthy eaters, for us to say a salad is small, it was tiny! Recently, this store just remodeled/ updated and reopened after Hurricane Michael. I'm currently working near the Calloway Applebee s store and had a 50 gift card so I thought I would try out their Carside to Go. I signed in on their website. Picked a store. Ordered a couple of Triple Bacon Cheeseburgers and fries . The app lets you choose if you want your burger pink inside. Let's you choose all your condiments, or toppings. They all show how much extra calories per topping. Some will add a cost like extra cheese for example. It gave me a time on my iPhone for 12:30pm. I tell them my vehicle and color. It also lets me hit a "I'm Here " on the screen when you arrive. I pulled in their "to go " space and a girl came out and asked if I was Wayne. And then said our burgers would be right out. They were so good that we ordered the same thing the very next day using up the gift card. I just moved here recently I am in the Air Force. There are not many places to go around here. I come here a lot during the weekdays and get incredible service. I came here Saturday night and set at the bar because I've had a great service there since I have moved here. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry before I am here to tell you this girl needs to find another profession. Unless you guys are running a undercover escort service. She had a couple guy sitting there talking to them about getting up with them when she left. One of the guys handed her money and said you can make it up to me later. I was disgusted by what I saw. I didn't even wanna eat the rest of my food. She then decided to come over and start talking to me and decided to tell me your whole life story about her husband being abusive to her and her kids and how she's trying to get away from him. It was really unprofessional. I was having a rough day and we just wanted to come have a couple drinks and eat not to get more stressed out by someone else. Awful service. Slow, slow, slow. The store was slow and our waitress stopped by about once every half hour. Ordered honey mustard and she said it would be out in a minute. 30 minutes later she stops by and asks where is my honey mustard "no one brought it to your table?" Apparently she felt it was someone else's responsibility to take care of her table. To top it all off, and to show what terrible waitress she was, we had a blonde dessert which comes with ice cream on it. She brought it out and the ice cream was completely melted, as in just a puddle of soup on the skillet. So clearly the dessert had been sitting for a while, and she was too stupid to ask for it to be remade. We didn't bother asking for the manager, we just wanted to get the hell out of there. Applebee's used to be enjoyable. Now you go in, get seated by the host, wait 20 minuets for your waitress or waiter. Only to have them take your order and it be delivered 20 minuets later by a completely different person. You have to flag someone down to get a refill on your drink are even your check. My bill is usually tucked at the end of the table before I even cut into my food. With the kind words "No rush guys" but, my kids want dessert.... no need to tip, I have no clue who to actually tip, best service..is the electronic device on the table if you're lucky to have a charged one. read more

I do not recommend as a restaurant or means of employment. To keep it short, there is a systemic issue with this particular Applebee's. The management seems to be the root issue that leads to poor staffing. The attrition rate for the wait staff is ridiculously high. Any waiter/waitress worth their salt immediately recognizes the lack of control and respect the management has. It causes the kitchen to run slow and the orders to delayed or just outright wrong. This leads to the inevitable dissatisfaction of guest and poor tips and low return customer rate. The inability to retain quality staff perpetuates these issues by giving this location a terrible reputation with the locals. Sadly, a couple incompetent managers can ruin an entire restaurant. Structure, leadership and control are sorely missed attributes of this management team. Hopefully the owners care enough to restructure their store. read more

Walked from hotel to here. Have had good food at different locations. Food was good. Music was God awful country western. Another patron complained and was told wouldn't change it. I left very early, was planning on staying all evening and having a nice evening. Told bartender that music was terrible and was leaving because of it. She replied that their general manager refused to change the station when people complained. Talk about a poor business decision. One thing I'd like to add is that I don't think Applebee's is the place for karaoke. My husband and I went in here on a Saturday night recently and they were doing karaoke very loudly. People were drunk around the bar. It gave the feeling of a trashy bar instead of a restaurant. I would highly encourage for everyone not to come here. This has by far been the worst service and food I have had in visiting several different Applebee's. There were maybe 12 people in the restaurant for lunch and it took over 40 minutes to get our food. The wait was completely not worth it, my fiesta Lime chicken was charred on the bottom and I ended up peeling the whole bottom off so I could eat it. My brother's quesadilla burger was burnt on both the top and bottom as well. I ended up taking to the manager and she didn't see anything wrong with my charred meat that i peeled off, she only told me I hope I have a better experience next time. Visited Applebee's on a Friday, after the lunch rush @ 2:00pm. There were 13 customers in the restaurant and 4 employees working outside the kitchen. We waited for 5-7 mins before the waitress took out drink/appetizer order. It took another 20 mins for our food to come out of the kitchen. In the meantime she chatted with her friends at the bar while our drinks ran empty. The food was tasty and hot when it came to the table, but our waitress was more interested in her friends than working all her tables. read more

2 days ago, my very good friend, a senior care-giver, and her elderly client were having lunch at our Callaway, FL Applebee's. Another elderly couple were seated at a table in close proximity, with the woman in a wheelchair. At some point during their meal, the woman became ill and vomited on herself. Instead of receiving any assistance or help from a server named "Lucy"(?), that poor couple was treated HORRIBLY!!! The man was told to get her out of there -- right now -- and 'you people' from next door aren't supposed to come in here. What's next door? A nursing home. Is that where they came from? No. They were just an elderly couple having lunch. As the man was leaving with the woman in her wheelchair, he expressed his feelings in a non-vulger way about their treatment, loudly enough so many of the other customers could hear. Good for him!!!!!! Whatever happened to "good" customer service? Whatever happened to treating patrons of your business decently, at the least? Treating them with respect and kindness? This "server" obviously knows nothing about any of that, or was never trained properly. Too bad for you because THAT'S what keeps customers coming back. The way this employee handled the situation was totally appalling!!!! I, myself, have a history of working in the customer service industry, as well as other members of my family. That poor couple!! My heart and 'well wishes' go out to them. They were most definitely DISCRIMINATED against. They did NOTHING wrong, except choose to eat at our friendly neighborhood grill & bar... yeah, I noticed "friendly" isn't even part of your logo anymore.
