We are camped across the street and walked over Friday evening for drinks…read more Despite the inside being packed, we found space at the bar and enjoyed chatting with our stool neighbors about local things to do, places to eat, and so on. Very attentive bartender. I looked up their website and found they have daily specials, and on Sunday it's shrimp and grits. My husband HAD to have it. We ventured over this morning right at 11:00 and sat ourselves at a high top near the bar. Our server Morgan came by promptly. Their version of shrimp and grits is unlike any you have had before. Very rich and mildly spicy cream/cheese sauce with shrimp, grits, spinach, mushrooms, and okra. The sauce was made with smoked gouda. Huge portion but he ate it all. I got a grilled grouper sandwich. Absolutely delicious. Morgan was delightful and talked with us about her career plans. She was covering the entire indoor area during our visit so she was really running. We can hear the music from our campsite, but they pull the plug at 9:00 pm so it's not too noisy late. I did not find any other review for the shrimp and grits so I wanted to be sure to post this and a photo.

12/30/25, two seats at the bar…read more Lesley & I had a great dinner at Beach Camp, so many reasons to give this place 5 . Walked in, the place was packed and on a wait. The host was friendly and eager to get us a table, but nothing available- 15 min wait. Two seats open at the bar so we moved quick! Makala was our bartender. She was fantastic; friendly and super knowledgeable. We shared a smash burger, relax haters we had a late lunch and wanted room for dessert. Smash burger with fries was fantastic. Seasoned perfectly and the sliced pickles were great. Turtle Cheesecake was , so good! Atmosphere was 10! Staff was 10! Food was 10! We visit this area 3-4 times a year, see you again in March!
