It was lettuce 3 grape tomatoes and a half souffle cup of dressing. Everything that makes a wedge was absent. No compensation. Our visit to Outback was an overall nightmare. We came with a party of eight, and the entire dinner stretched out to nearly three hours--far longer than we had planned or wanted. While our server seemed like a nice guy, the service was painfully slow. I ordered the bone-in ribeye, and it was a complete letdown. The steak was overcooked and so heavily salted that I could barely taste anything else. I would've mentioned this to the server, but he rarely checked on us. For a $100 dinner tab for two, the quality just wasn't there. If you're looking for a good steak, I'd recommend heading over the bridge to Angelo's or even Texas Roadhouse in Panama City Beach--both are far better options. read more

We tried Outback after many years at this location in Panama City. I really liked this location because the service and food were both great! We started with their old fashioned drink, and it was very good. Their complimentary bread is always delicious. For appetizers, we started with their three cheese steak dip. It was pretty good. See photos below. Then we ordered their Toowooba salmon, which is their grilled salmon with seasoned shrimp and mushroom in a creamy sauce. What I like about outback is that you are not just limited to steaks. You have good choices of seafood such as salmon and lobster. We also tried their perfectly grilled salmon, which comes with grilled salmon with some veggies and rice. Instead of rice, I substituted for mashed potatoes. The service was great and our server was attentive. The inside of the place looked nice too. So, I walked in at 4:45 pm to sit at the bar and grab a nice glass of Sav Blanc and get a steak order to go and was really looking forward to just chilling with a glass of wine at the bar. There were a total of 4 empty bar stools. I tried one and the overweight man told me I couldn't sit there bc someone else was sitting there. They were not. That person finally walked in after I was there 5 min. There were three other stools, but the girl bartender said oh you can't sit in either of those two stools bc they are here they just haven't come inside yet. The other empty was also "guess what". It was being "held" for someone that hadn't showed up yet. I mean, I'm a very smart professional and it is never good etiquette for a restaurant or bar staff to allow seats to sit empty. I literally wanted an expensive glass of wine after working all day and an order to go. So I'm assuming this bar is for "locals who act like it's their Cheers Bar"? I have always loved Outback. We moved here from Bluffton, SC in May of this year and I can guarantee you I will never step foot into your Outback ever again and I will make sure all of my colleagues, friends and whoever else knows that if you're not in the "Cheers" clique, you're SOL. Arrived at 4:30 for my wife's birthday dinner. Greeted promptly by Cara our waitress. Ordered an appetizer of coconut shrimp and we each went with our usual iced tea. Cara brought out some bread and our tea and we both ordered fillet mignon and lobster tail for our main course. I ordered broccoli and a side salad with caesar dressing and for her it was a baked potato with a side salad and caesar dressing. Coconut shrimp appetizer was good albeit a bit on the oily side. The 8 shrimp were large and tasted good. The server was a bit mixed up about which one of us ordered what but we figured it out. Steaks were good as well as the lobster tails. Pretty small tails, guessing around 3 oz. Not convinced that the yellow liquid that accompanied the lobster was actually butter. We got there early enough that it was pretty quiet but by the time we left there was a waiting list for seating. Cara stopped by once to see if everything was alright but never refilled my iced tea. Knocked $2.00 off the tip because of that. Will quite likely return, mostly because the Mrs seems to like this place and I don't think it's terrible. read more

First impression was seated at the bar and asked to be moved to a quieter table. We did early dinner. The server was fine, but the salads were not fresh and had core of lettuce in them. The broccoli was mush, and it looked old. We asked for a replacement, and it was very mushy like they had overcooked it. The men's bathroom was very dirty for it being in the evening. This was an all around bad choice. When we arrived we were told that they were out of bread, Mac and cheese and more than half of all the steaks on their menu. Though we were bummed, we were starving so we decided to stay anyway. When we ordered from the steaks they did have (outback sirloin) and it arrived to our table they were not edible. Not even our steak knives could cut through them. The baked potato's were drenched in butter, making them extremely soggy. Disgusting. Finally, we were there to celebrate my birthday and when the waiter came out with my birthday dessert he said, "no one in the kitchen wants to come out and sing, sorry." What?!
