I don't know if they got new cooks or managers but the food tastes horrible now. I went for my birthday in march and it was amazing but today it was just so unappealing and unappetizing. The food was not seasoned and took forever to get to the table. we were generous enough to attempt to even eat the meal but it just got to a point where we couldn't finish it. the noodles tasted like it just go thrown in a light sauce with water. absolutely zero taste. Arived at 12:30 PM - lunchtime. Waited at the hostess stand for a few minutes before anyone approached and was told we are not seating Anyone now, we are on a 15 minute break. We decided to wait. Others decided to leave. Our drinks were brought quickly and our food order taken as expected. The wait for the food seemed a bit long, but we were patient. Our server seemed a bit rushed, but our service was satisfactory. I did have to make several attempts to catch her attention so that we could check out. When we arrived, the restaurant was not busy and when we left over an hour later, it was still not busy. I wonder if this break the employees were taking at 12:30 PM. Might be the reason. I have no idea what has happened to this place. We tried the takeout option one night and for one quesadilla and a hamburger it was almost $30. Plus they forgot the sour cream and salsa for the quesadilla and didn't give any ketchup or condiments for the hamburger. A few months down the road our friends wanted to go out and suggested to eat here. We decided to try them again. We will not be back. Arrived around 7 pm and we didn't finish dinner until after 9:15. We ordered cocktails and it took around 20 minutes to get them. When they did come to the table, they were already completely watered down. We had the boneless wings for an appetizer and they were absolutely disgusting. They tasted as though they had been frozen, frost bitten, thawed out and then microwaved and tossed in a cheap sauce. It was chewier than a well done cheap steak. We sent them back. When our dinners came out, they were decent, but not great. The quesadilla is now down to Taco Bell quality. When our ticket came, we knew something was wrong. Somehow a table game and a dessert were added to our tab and they wanted to argue that we did. We were then told they would have to re-run our card. Um...no. I pulled up the bank account and showed them that the ticket had already been run through and posted. I used to work in a restaurant. You can cancel the transaction and we made sure they did while we were there and re-run the ticket for the correct amount. Oh, I even asked for napkins. Never came. Asked for a to-go box. Never came. I wrapped up my leftovers in the brown paper bags the silverware comes in. My dog ate them at least. read more

Waitress was very pleasant, she knew menu and made suggestions, recommended items as well. She provided top level of service. 2 entrees ordered. Food was served temperature appropriate. One ordered a slab of riblet's. The Cole slaw, a side dish, was laughable. One tablespoon of slaw in a communion size black miniature cup. Embarrassing this well known franchise name. I officially don't like this place. While trying to spend time with my family, we decided to come here. We were waiting to be seated and over heard a waiter tell the hostess. " Don't send me no black people". I didn't think I heard her correctly. So I asked the hostess if what I heard was correct..and embarrassed as she was she admitted it. Train in good customer service! VA, placed a large order. I chose irresistible chicken bowl, pic looked great, I had never had it. Once I got it it was missing the corn black bean salsa. Called spoke with Heather, mgr.; who said she assisted with the packaging and saw it there, then said it was a small portion but ultimately I could drive there and pick it up. I would know if black beans and corn was on my bowl and I did order extra gracumole. I ate my dry salad and realized why I hadn't ate there in such a long time. What a waste of money! read more

I've been to this Applebee's before and found them to be overall relatively accommodating. Today was no different. While other restaurants had wait lines out the door, there was no wait here, just a busy restaurant. We got seated fairly quickly. A few minor things where the ball was dropped: such as not giving us menus to look at right away and having to ask for silverware, but the menu is accessible online and they gave us silverware when asked, so I'm will to forgive these small details. Our order was put in promptly and our food came out less than twenty minutes later. We both had steaks and they were very good. No complaints at all. For the overall experience I would've rated them three stars, however.... It's easy for wait staff to lose track of tables when it's busy, but we were never kept waiting too long and for how busy it was and the amount of staff they had, they did very well. So, for that I gave them an extra star. I'm all about giving credit for effort. read more

I don't think the 2 star rating is deserved, based on my experiences. That said, it is one of the less good Applebee's I have been to. And it is Applebee's, so you know what you're getting. On my most recent visit, we shared the spinach artichoke dip appetizer. My complaint is with the recipe probably, rather than the kitchen. The dip isn't creamy enough, it has very few artichoke pieces (I saw two leaves in the entire serving), and there's something about the flavor I just don't care for. Spinach artichoke dip is so common that it shouldn't be hard to find a good recipe - and Applebee's suffers by comparison. My friend had the Asian Fried Chicken salad and it was delicious, as always. I had the French Onion soup, and it was good, with lots of melty cheese. It was a little too much on the sweet side for me but that is a personal preference. I also had a cheeseburger, and it was prepared just right, exactly as ordered. Complaint: every table is directly under an air vent, and it is freezing cold. As a result, I am always in a hurry to get out of there and I don't want to hang around for drinks or dessert. read more

I had had a couple of bad experiences here in the last 2 years but was looking for a good burger and beer. The parking lot was sparse (should have taken that as a hint). I ordered the Swiss cheese and mushroom burger. Explained to my server I wanted it no more than medium or I would send it back ( I had ordered this on my last previous visit about 6 months before and it came over well done). After waiting about 30 minutes it was served. The fries were great. Two bites into the burger and I pushed the plate away. Again it was over well done, and so overly salted it was inedible. I told my server I thought it was intentional because of how I ordered it and she agreed with me. An assistant manager came out and offered to have it remade for me but I told him no as I wouldn't trust anything coming out of that kitchen. I won't be going there again. read more

Definitely would not recommend eating here, for about 95% of our visit the hostess and bartender were just sitting at the bar on their phones, watching people walk in and watching the servers seat them. We ordered a margarita and watched the bartender just stand there on her phone after the ticket went back to her. We got spinach dip as an appetizer and the tortilla chips were so stale you could fold them in half without them even attempting to break. They didn't even bring us plates for appetizers and when we asked for plates it took 10 minutes. we asked for a spoon and 4 people didn't help. My dad had to get up to ask and when he did ask they were gossiping about it in the kitchen. By the time my mom got the spoon her soup was cold and soggy. My grandfather and dad got the same food and ordered at the same time yet my grandfather got his food and by the time he was finished my dad hadn't got his food yet. Attempted to visit Applebee's at lunch time on Saturday. I get it, they were busy and appeared to be short handed. We were grated at the door by Mr Personality. His grading was not welcome to Applebee's we have a 25 minute wait. It was a grid tone, we have about a 25 minute wait. 25 minutes is not much but his tone made us feel like he didn't want us there. We left and probably won't go back to Dublin Applebee's. read more

This place deserves no stars. The service and food was terrible. First, we were seated at 5:45pm but no one came to check on us or take our orders until 6:10pm so we missed happy hour- which was our prime reason for going. Then our waitress seemed like everything we asked for was an inconvenience. I wanted to get the nachos but instead of steak I wanted chicken. She said that would not be possible. Additionally, my friend who is a vegetarian wanted to substitute chicken for shrimp in a pasta dish and the waitress said that wouldn't be possible. After, thoroughly explaining to her how important it was to be accommodated with our orders, she brought a manager to the table. The manager was helpful and allowed these simple changes for our orders. Unfortunately, when we received our meals (which is when we received or drinks), they were all messed up. At this point, we made Due considering we had been waiting so long and were hungry. What made matters worse was when she tried to take our plates without asking- as if we weren't still eating or we didn't want to take anything to go. Our waitress real struggled with providing great customer service as she forgot our drink orders and submitted our food orders incorrectly. I am an elderly veteran and my grandson came to visit me at my new apartment in Dublin. We stopped by Applebee's a little after 5:00PM. I order the bacon cheeseburger, my son order grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. As my food came it spelled so nice. I was really hunger from moving. As I finished my fries first and I was on my second bite on the cheeseburger before I bit down on something really hard. My grandson heard it across the table. My mouth was in pain. My grandson called the server over to explain what happen. I was still in pain. She agreed to take it off the bill. I was ready to get out of there. Upon receiving a print out from my bank, I realized that we were charged. The usual Applebee's never fails to leave one hungry. We settled for the 2 for $20 with an appetizer. Of course, the spinach dip was good. The chips weren't salty like they usually are and I guess that's a plus. The oriental chicken salad was good, but it was too much. I was kind of full from lunch and the appetizer before it arrived. Chris loved his sirlion. Dublin is a small town and the place wasn't kicking for a Monday night. Maybe the weekend proves it wrong. read more

Went to lunch with my son to talk about medical issues management was stand offish but ok understanding with current pandemic waitress was so so she got upset that I ask for a menu and didn't just take out my phone I tried to explain I had left my eye glasses at home she just laughed at me I said to my son I guess it was going to be a picture day since I could not see enough to with out my glasses so we placed our order our appetizers came with main dish not a real problem we just rolled with it had to talk to the manager about a possible allergy to a dish I was told for me to just don't touch it and it would be removed from my bill ( but they lied ) we figure that we would just keep trying to have a good day no matter what we spit the bill since it cost so much ok we keep trying and move on only to see the waitress added her own tip to both of our bills apparently we got to get ripped off for ever time a worker came to the table bill $ 56 for 2 adults 2 appetizers 1 salad & 1 casodea & 2 sweet teas ( when we looked at the charges on our cards $5.75 was added to my son's card and $3.51 was added to my card ) so all in all if you have money to throw away and throwed off taste buds because the food was not the best and the dressing with a side of lettuce is hard to swallow then welcome to APPLEBEES BAR & GRILL OF DUBLIN GEORGIA read more
