This place was terrible. We got 2 for $25 or around that. For an appetizer we got the side salad. Underneath the top layer were buried brown slimy lettuce. See the picture attached, we picked them out and put them in a cup. Our burgers came and when I picked up my burger it was disgusting. The bun was covered with grease. Then I looked up in horror because when my wife took a bite of hers what can only be described as a waterfall of grease ran from her burger to the plate. The whole meal was gross. read more

We stopped here on our way from Michigan and Jess was our bartender/server- we could not have been happier with the service! She was very personable, attentive, and funny! First time ever coming to this Applebee's and ever in my life! This place was great, host and waitress that took care of us were friendly and courteous. They had dollar margaritas that night since they informed us of their specials. Their food was very good actually, took a bit of a wait, wasn't disappointed. I thought this place would be loud but actually it was pretty quiet. The general manager was there too and was going table to table chatting with customers making everyones dine in experience more inclusive which I really liked. Definitely like this place! read more

Me and my friend walked into this Applebee's at 11 pm. We walked in and there was NO ONE on the floor. Not a server, bar tender... Anything. We stood/sat there for about 15 minutes with noone to acknowledge us. When a server finally came out and a bar tender they looked in our direction and did not acknowledge us. We wanted nothing but a drink or two no food. I usually try to give people and establishments the benefit of the doubt but not today. The bar tender finally did acknowledge us and asked us if we were waiting for doordash or a table. We said a table and he nodded at us but that was it. We stayed for about 5 more minutes but eventually just walked out. Because we were fed up. We ended up finding another bar to go too. You should have up that by a certain time you stop taking walking in orders and drinks so that any walkins dont expect too much. read more

We were in town visiting an elderly family member who wanted to go to Applebee's so that's where we took her. I wasn't excited about going to Applebee's but wasn't going to deprive Grandma of her favorite restaurant. Furthermore, this is Elyria and our choices are limited. I was very pleased with the food quality and staff attentiveness. The restaurant appears to have been refreshed in last few years. The hostess was patient with us and gave us a large table that accommodated our wheelchair rolling right up to it. Nice! Food quality was 3.5 to 4.0 stars: good ribs, burgers, and 6oz steak. Tortilla chips were somewhat greasy and fries portion on small side. Cook time was so-so but the superior service and happy grandma makes five stars! Ordered extra shrimp. Receipt says add 6 shrimp and that's all I got. My first time trying this. I don't understand how the original amount that comes with the meal was left out and I ordered for there to be extra. I hope someone will respond to Me about this. read more

I ordered the 2 for $20 deal (includes an app and 2 entrees). We ordered a spinach and artichoke dip with chips, a steak, Chinese chicken salad, quesadilla, and a blueberry, chicken salad. Subpar food, small portion sizes, and bad service. This Applebees does a great job of underwhelming. That's the only thing they were good at. We walked in at 11:50, and they didn't close until 1, and the restaurant was steady with other tables. Our server Amanda treated us like we ruined her whole day, she complained to us about how she had to take our table. And 3 minutes after our food was served she already was having us fill out our checks, I was planning on getting desert but not after that. I work in a restaurant, I work late, I get it; but we came in 70 minutes before closing when there were plenty of tables sat. Amanda was rude, and pushy. When ordering, she kept asking us if we were sure that we wanted the food we ordered and asked us if we wanted other dishes that cost more(my food was 14.67 and definitely wasn't the cheapest on the menu). As we were still eating our food she kept asking us if we could hurry up, and then asked to take our plates even though it was clear we were still eating. This used to be the best Applebee's in Lorain county. At least it used to beat Lorain's location. We've never been to the Avon location. But our last visit left a bad taste in our mouth. We were greeted​ by​ friendly people. Our waitress took our drink and app order quickly and then our main course. It took us a 1/2 hour to get our app. We didn't see the waitress for a long time and she asked if we'd gotten it yet. No. Then she went in the back. More waiting. Finally,​ the manager came out with the app but no extra plates to put the food on. A brief apology​ wasn't enough. So after ordering our app it took a total of 1/2 hour to finally get our app and we did have a manager out in the restaurant as well as waitresses looking at us with only our drink orders with us. Yeah,​ we only came to Applebees​s for the overpriced​​ sodas. We liked our waitress. But having to wait so long and the restaurant​ not even being busy and the menu just couldn't beat what other restaurants offer. read more

We come here frequently as its one of the last choices for dinner out in Elyria. Today, my son and I stopped in for lunch. We had the spinach and artichoke dip, the Chicken Cavatappi and the chicken tenders platter on the 2 for $20 menu. The food was excellent especially the Cavatappi. A great deal for the price! The only reason for the 4 stars on today's visit was the waitress. I had to ask for my water twice and when i asked for a lemon again as it was forgotten, she was not very nice about it. read more

Got home and found the appetizer was missing from the order. Called the store and got through after about 12 tries, and as it was close to closing and I didn't want the rest of my food to get cold, the manager said she would drop a coupon in the mail. That was 2 weeks ago so I am assuming we are just screwed out of the money. The food was pretty good, but not worth the cost when factoring in the missing items. Won't do the curbside again, for sure. Will have to consider before going back. read more

It's July 25 and I'm here for my friends dinner. The reservation was for 8:00 and almost everyone got here before then and was seated. A server finally came over to give us our drink at 8:25 and those took even longer to come out. Finally our drinks came out but me and my one friend ordered water with lemon. LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN WATER WITH LEMON! They told us that the water with lemon would take a little longer to come out and mind you the have the Alex's Lemonade Stand charity logo everywhere. If you guys don't know what Alex's mission is it basically lemons. So you tell me they could just grab a lemon from the many vases that they had laying around and cut up a lemon and put it in this tap water they serve. Finally we get our food at 9 probably past that and I'm the last one to get mine. The waitress left put my food on the table and got everyone else's and almost left mine on the table until my friend reaches over and grabs it or me. It was good but I was hungry for a while and don't have a drink for the longest. This service was very poor and I don't think I'll be back. read more

Servie was beyond SHITTY. Went for a birthday dinner and the reservations were for 8pm. We are a punctual group and the last guest arrived no later than 8:10pm. From 8 until atleast 8:30 we hadn't been introduced to our waitress, asked what we would like to drink or even offered water. After we stopped a waitress asked about getting drinks they finally sent a waitress to our table. She wasn't very friendly and it took about her quite a bit of time take the drink order for the fifteen of us. So like I said before we arrive at didn't get drinks until after 8:30 and didn't get food u til after 9!!! What restaurant take and HOUR to get us our food. I'm glad we weren't pressed for time. Anyway fast forward to when we're done eating the waitress brings our dessert for the Birthday girl and gives it to the wrong person lol. I definitely won't be spending my money there again and if I could give it less than one star I would!!! read more
