Decent average food, family-friendly ambiance, and average service. We decided to give this place a try while we were in the area looking for breakfast. We ordered the Potato Pancake Platter with a side of fruit cup and coffee. The eggs were okay, and the potato pancake was actually delicious. It was more like a hash brown cooked in pancake batter, which worked really well. I didn't care much for the bacon since it was too thin for my liking. The coffee was average, and the fruit cup was underwhelming. Overall, the food wasn't anything extraordinary, just average, or maybe even slightly below average. read more

Went here for a Sunday breakfast with the girls. There were 8 of us and the restaurant accommodated us after a few minutes. It was very nice. The restaurant has 2 sides. The left side seems like they don't use at all and the right side has lots of seats and booths. Plus there is a buffet available during the week. Seemed like there were good options. We all got different breakfast foods. The only one who really didn't like theirs was because it was cold was the mediterranean muffin. It was good just arrived cold. I got the Florentine omelet. It was very good I subbed out the American cheese for feta. The cubed potatoes were really good and crispy. The potato pancakes got rave reviews and were a hit too. Everyone seemed like what they ordered. Our server was super nice. Prices were about average. Plenty of parking in a rather non descript strip mall. We came here twice for breakfast and was hoping for a better experience the second time but just didn't happen. I think it's tough for them to accommodate big groups (each time we had a bigger group). We were seated pretty quickly it was just quality of food that was lacking. Coffee is weak also. I ordered chicken and waffles and ordered my kids the chicken tenders and fries. All the adult food came out first even though I asked for the kids meals to be put in and brought out asap. My chicken was a normal chicken you get wit chicken and waffles but they must have run out or something bc my 2&3 year old received seasoned breaded chicken that was completely different than mine. Of course they wouldn't eat it because it wasn't normal chicken tenders. Just disappointed with food quality here. read more

I got the French toast with powdered sugar and some bacon. My food was nice, nothing to rave about but nice. My sister got the southern skillet. While I enjoyed my food my sister not so much. While everything was there, it just lacked a little in flavoring. So I don't know if I'll be going out of my way to return but if I'm in the area it will at least be on my list of options. read more

My 13-year-old daughter and I visited Royal Breakfast & More today and unfortunately had a bad experience overall. It did not feel very family-friendly and was overpriced for what we received. I ordered medium bacon, which was cooked well. My daughter did not specify how she wanted hers cooked, and it came out completely black and tasteless. They did replace it, which I appreciate. When I asked why the toast wasn't buttered, I was told they get too busy on weekends to butter the toast. That explanation was disappointing, as being busy shouldn't mean skipping basic preparation. The eggs and potatoes were good, but the toast I received had a butter substitute that tasted exactly like movie-theater popcorn butter. It was not good at all--real butter would be a much better choice. I ordered a waffle, and my daughter had chocolate chip pancakes. She said hers was good, but my waffle was ice cold. I believe the syrup may have been cold, which made the waffle unpleasant to eat. Another downside was the drinks. They do not offer fountain soda--only 20oz bottles priced at $3.50 each, which are not refillable. The original total for our meal was $35 for the two of us. Due to the number of issues, the manager comped our entire meal, which I do appreciate. The manager also asked us to be fair with this review, and this is an honest and accurate account of our visit. There was only 2 other tables occupied as we were there early (8 am). Our food arrived and we discovered it was cold. I called one of the servers over and explained and she promptly took our plates back to the kitchen. My breakfast came out before my husband and it was hot so I began to eat. They brought out my husband's gyro meat but he had to wait an additional 5+ minutes for his eggs. My food was hot my husband's was luke warm. No one apologized for our cold food or offered to maybe to give us free coffee(&2.99/per cup) Our bill came to $45. We were disappointed with our experience. read more

We went to Royal Breakfast after my kids basketball game. We were trying to find a new place to eat so decided to give it a try. The inside is older but cute. We sat down and ordered meals for my 3 young kids, my wife and I. My kids had pancakes + chocolate chips (a $2.00 up charge!), waffles + chocolate chips (another $2.00 up charge) and a crepe. My daughter asked if she could have berries with her meal, so we ordered two sides of berries. The berries were mushy and pretty gross, so she ended up not eating them. My wife and I had an omelet and their street corn hash, which was just hash + corn on bread. Our meals were ok, nothing special. The bad part was when we went to pay. We found out that all berries as a side was $4.00 per portion of old berries! Let me tell you, the portion was in a tiny little tin, not even worth $1.00. That's when we saw that we were also up charged $4.00 for chocolate chips. There MAY have been 13 melted chips on top of the pancake and waffle. A side of bacon for the kids? Another large up charge. Overall, the price of the meal was $87.00. FOR BREAKFAST with 3 kids! My meal was only $14 and my wife's was similar. After tip, we were over $100.00 for a mediocre breakfast. I would honestly not recommend this place unless they bring the prices down. The egg shortage up charge, I get it. But for my kids to have over $20 of up charges was unreal. I'll get to the one star first. The food was good. The service is why they're four missing stars. Our party of two barely even greeted/welcomed. While we were seated right away, it took over 15 minutes for someone to even come to our table for drinks. Due to the long wait, we had already determined what we wanted to order upon the server coming to our table for the first time (the drinks). We mentioned we were ready to order and she told us that we couldn't and that she was only going to get our drinks and would be back for our order. It then took another 10 minutes to get one water and one coffee. She still did not ask for our order but just dropped off the drinks and walked away. We then witnessed her take orders at multiple other tables until she came back to us. We finally got our food, one hour after ordering. While we ate, we were not checked on at all. We had to request our bill, which you can assume, did not come timely either. Upon heading to the kiosk at the front to pay, the person at the counter was on the phone and just pointed at me to pay using the machine. No thank you. No apologies for the delay. No comps. Absolutely terrible. The interior was just like any other outdated and dingy breakfast spot. read more

I met a friend there for breakfast. People think you can't screw up breakfast but if you order scrambled eggs they can be "too" (too runny, too dry) when I asked for moist - they got it right on. The sausage patties left something to be desired but they were a good size. Prices were on par with other places (gone are the days of a $ 2.99 breakfast). They didn't change the interior much from its former days as a Chinese restaurant. They need to change the opening on the airlock. It was frigid outside and all that cold air came rushing right into our booth every time the door opened. All in all a pleasurable experience and I will return. read more
