Came in for a late night grab and drink just to be served cold appetizers and entrees. 2 of us came in for dinner and was greeted forcefully by a server who was cleaning and told our server would meet with us, this was already 10 min at the door. When we finally got our table and appetizers came, my spinach artichoke was not melted but LITERALLY COLD. The manger clearly stuck it in the microwave and did not apologize for the error. All he could say is "here we go, now it's warm". When entrees came, the steak and shrimp was LITERALLY COLD AGAIN! When we received our remake on the shrimp and steak, the steak was not cooked to temp at request and my friend wasted a whole plate of food due to the disgust we had with our food. Not once did the manager come out to apologize or help accommodate the error that he provided from coming to the kitchen. This applebees is usually good to us when there's not that many people but today was different. There was a bigger party of atleast 15-20 which we acknowledged and still wanted to be seated and have dinner here. We waited to be sat around 15-20 mins. No biggie. Then once we got sat, waited about 10 mins until we saw our server kissing his girlfriend, i guess, and then proceeded to say "i'll be right with you guys" .. waited another 10-15 mins for nothing. Server never came to even take our drink order or anything. Very unprofessional and unfortunate. I did an online carry-out order for $56.00. I arrived 30 minutes after placing the order and the staff made me wait for over 25 minutes until I finally was able to ask the status of my order. They checked and within seconds they had my order in hand, weird. the food were cold. I could bet my life savings that my food had been setting for over 25 minutes prior to giving it to me. I know it's a chain, that's not the problem. My 8 year old just went to the bathroom, the urinal was closed off, the bathroom smelled so strongly he came out holding his nose and the toilet in the bathroom was full of pee. If my son comes out complaining that it is the grossest bathroom he has ever seen that's a problem! How low are your standards? It's sad when even a child can see that this is unacceptable. My son goes to public park bathrooms and has never came out so disgusted. Our table was clean but the little table side tablet device probably hasn't been cleaned since they got it. Applebee's grill & bar is a good place to get good food at an affordable price. They have happy hour specials and 2 for $20 deals! The food is pretty good and substantially sized. They have good dessert options. During my visit, there were many small things that could have enhanced the experience from the moment we got sat to the conclusion of the meal. As a foodie and someone who loves to dine, I do think the level of service could improve and be higher. The hostess wasn't really accommodating with my request to sit at a booth. I personally had to ask the busboy if we could clean a booth that was empty for us to sit. The waitress was nice but wasn't really engaged. The experience was pretty underwhelming. They were executing a COVID safety protocol that made me feel safe while dining. Overall, Applebee's in fountain is a casual dining experience that can get you solid food for a good price. The service was terrible , it's almost like we are a bother to come in. I didn't get asked if I wanted water while I waited. ( I totally understand when someone is short staffed ) but you also have to have some type of customer service . Secondly the beer was flat not to mention we waited to even get our beer, just for it to be flat... and 10 mins later be told they were totally out. No problem i ordered a different one. The food was mediocre, the double crunch wings were everything but that, my kids tenders didn't come with sauce. Our sunday tradition after church is usually Chili's, but we wanted to give applebee's a try. I remember living on the West Coast that applebee's was such a pleasure, but now is a very upsetting letdown. The portions are half the size you receive at Chili's, and our bill was 30% more than we normally spend at Chili's. The children's macaroni and cheese tasted like a came out of a box from the dollar store across the parking lot. For the quality and quality of food, it was not worth the amount of money we paid. I walked into this Applebees and saw the sexiest server I have ever laid my eyes on, 9 months later I have a son. And the steak was amazing perfectly seasoned and cooked. Extremely slow service. Took a while to be seated. The server that seated us, we could see her messing around at the bar, she even looked at us a few times. Our server said she had only been working for 3 days. She probably had jitters from that And I can understand that. My drink sat at the bar for 20 minutes and husband went and got it for me. It was watered down. We sat there for over an hour to get our food. It was not even busy or full. Food was good. It was hot and fresh. Our server didn't come to our table at all while we waited. This restaurant location is normally on point. Went in on Tuesday and for the first time experienced the worst service. The young lady at the door offered to seat us at the bar top location. We sat there for 15 minutes, and no one acknowledged us. As I got up to leave I asked her if there was a waiter or waitress in that section. She stated oh, the bartender should of seen you.
