We came here for my birthday dinner since we didn't have much time and we weren't expecting much as I doubt many people do with Applebees. This isn't a bad thing though Applebees is good and cheap. The workers were clearly understaffed and trying to meet everybody's expectations. The lady at the front of the store was extremely nice and communicated everything with us. If they were working on clearing tables they let us know, if they were combining tables they let us know, etc. We were already a big group so the wait was understandable but it was a lot less than we expected only 10 ish minutes. When we were seated our primary waiter was David who was amazing in every way. The other employees came to help as well and were great too but David really stood out considering he was bar tending and waitering. Not once did David make us feel like we were a burden or annoying him even if he had things to do. You could tell he was genuinely trying to make sure customers had a good experience as he walked around. His service was so good it's the first time I've gone out of my way to ask for an employees name from how good they've done. Went last night with daughter and grandkids. Our alcoholic drinks took 20 minutes, but the manager apologized and took care of it. Our meals took way longer and when they did arrive mine and my grandsons were cold. The people that were by us came in 10 minutes after us and got their meals right after us steaming hot. Save your money and buy a TV dinner, because that's the quality of the food you get here. The ribs are about as far from fall off the bone as they could be; inedible. Mac in cheese has the texture of plastic, and steak seems like it was one of those glued together ones. Even the Pepsi is watered down; has the color of ice tea. Nice service though. read more

I've been patronizing Applebee's on Hwy's 85/87for several years. We've always had good service and decent food. Went there tonight and the place was very sparsely populated. We sat at the bar but after a few minutes changed out location there to a place where the air conditioning was a little less cool. The bartender took our orders, gave us water as ordered and then came back a few minutes later and took our food order. A couple came in and sat near us and ordered. Within just a few minutes she was serving them an appetizer along with their tableware and a napkin, We contiued to wait for our order, and meanwhile noted that another table was being served, but they were in the area before we were, Waited what was at least 20 minutes and asked the bartender if she could check on our order. A few more minutes went by and finally our orders came out. There the special burgers were; sitting on the plain plate. We asked about the side order of French Fries and were told they were not ready, that something happened to delay the order. In the meantime, no tableware or napkins. We inquired about that and the server said we had to ask the bartender for those. My friend told asked about the French Fries again, and a few minutes later, a server came out with the French Fries. She appeared to be the manager and told us she had been cooking the French Fries and had been burned. In the meantime, my friend who had sent her burger back due to it being cold, so she told the other server to take the French Fries back and bring out hot food as ordered. I decided I'd take a chance on my Chicken sandwich with regard to temperature. Yes, it was actually cold. Finally, her burger came, along with French Fries. They cut the bill approximately in half, and we shivered our way through about half her burger and two fork fulls of my Chicken. I understand some Applebee's, nationwide are closing. I service, and food are as poor as we experienced tonight, I can see why there will be another vacant chain food restaurant, vacant. This place is a good standby. The service is good. Everyone is attentive to you there. I got the ribs and chicken with fireball BBQ sauce. The sauce on the chicken was sweeetttt! None of the stinging cinnamon flavor that I love in fireball. That was a miss for me. The sauce on the ribs was sticky and flavorful just the way that ribs should be. The ribs were not very meaty. So strange to say this when I am describing the meat which should be the star of the plate but the broccoli was insanely delicious. Buttery and flavorful. There was supposed to be coleslaw on the plate but they forgot it and I didn't want it enough to say anything. My son ordered the ribs and steak. The steak was perfectly cooked with a beautiful pink center. A little too much gristle in some spots but overall a solid meal on a late night. read more

Called ahead to make a reservation and was told that it was first come first serve so we headed over. Once we arrived we checked in and were told it was going to be a 25 minute wait, so we decided to wait. A party of 13 and another party of 6 came in after us and ended up getting seated before us. So, I guess it wasn't first come first serve. Thirty minutes later, we asked if we were going to be seated and at that point we were told that it was going to be another 10-15 minutes. After 15 minutes we asked the host and hostess if we were going to be seated and the host got a bit of an attitude and said that a table just cleared and we would be next! I understand that they may be short staffed but no need to get an attitude. Despite the seating confusion and long wait, our server Joselyn was amazing! Went there with my three grandchildren ( 15, 14, &10) and my daughter, was sat in bar area by hostess, after I specifically asked for a booth, we all had to squeeze in and were sat by a loud group next to us who were sitting very close to us. The seating was obviously not appropriate for children. I was already annoyed that the hostess wasn't aware or maybe was and just didn't give a damn ‍, still we said nothing and took the seat next to the loud ass group. The server Jacob who was wearing a red shirt ,which represents a 'trainer' position, took 10 minutes to approach our table, the appetizers took about 15 minutes to come out and when i asked for a little sour cream he told me that I would be charged for it. Wow really? But the apps took a long time to come out and my chicken tacos were actually cold but you're going to charge me for a lil sour cream??? Way to go! I also missed a whole convo with my family because the hostess sat us besides a rowdy ass group in the damn BAR!!!!! Why??!!!! So now here comes our food...my grandson specifically asked for NO sour cream on his mashed potatoes and what does he get?? Not only does he get sour cream but he gets a whopping scoop of sour cream with a dollop of potato and Jacob does NOTHING about it because he never wrote our order down and my daughters rice was almost RAW!!! Applebee's is only 20 minutes from our house... 1 hr and 20 minutes is really excessive to wait for food when we ordered at 328pm... We called at 525pm asking where our food was...? The person on the phone stated the delivery driver picked it up at 5pm... 30 minutes after we said we wanted it delivered... But still did not answer our question... They should have access to contact the drivers to see what is going on... and take a active role in saying I'll look into it; where they are... it does not take 50 minutes to get to our house.... What did they do drive from Black Forest area? Got lost? Decided to go visit a friend? We could have gone over there and picked it up in the amount of time getting us the food... This is a piss poor restaurant... they generally have mediocre food... better places to eat around Fountain ... but if they can't even get you your food In a reasonable time... your better off going to a different restaurant to get delivery from... We also received our food cold; not labeled correctly and the delivery driver placed our food in front of the screen door that swings out so it was difficult to get the food... delivery drivers really need to use common since with this... we do not go here often; yet it is extremely disappointing every time we go here... I don't even want to give them one star. I was waiting to order for ten minutes. Now I understand if they are busy, but the restaurant was NOT busy at ALL. There were probably a total of 7 tables. And we were the only people at the left side of the restaurant at a table. The waiter/waitresses kept looking at us and walking away. I'm not sure if this was a race thing but we were the only black and Asian people in the restaurant and we were NOT being helped or even paid attention to. Someone eventually came to help us. Holy cow this place has good food. Where I come from the Applebee's are extremely mediocre, so I knew what to expect when I walked in. Nope! Guys, my meal was awesome. Went in last night on a first date with someone. I've always enjoyed their food. The variety can't be beat....and neither can the service. The only issue I've had with the service is that sometimes the wait staff are slow on refills. Have not had anything to drink (alcohol) in awhile, but the bartenders here are always good. Polite. (for reference, we went a little after 4:30pm, and the restaurant is barely 1/3 full.) we get seated quickly enough, and get our drink and food order in as well. hubby ordered the bourbon chicken and shrimp and i ordered the 7oz sirloin cooked medium. while we were waiting, a party of 5 was seated next to us and started receiving some of their orders/appetizers incorrectly (they were fairly nice about it). we received our orders in a decent amount of time, but we noticed we got our meals before the elderly couple behind us. (maybe the orders got put in backwards?) my husband's meal had dry potatoes (the kind that look like they've been under a lamp for too long) and there was no bourbon flavoring on the chicken whatsoever. my dish looked fine, until i sliced into it -- my sirloin came out RARE. :( i love me some meat, so i ate as much of it as i could, but that's not how i wanted my meal. on top of that, we had 2 different servers (in addition to the one who took our order) drop off our food and walk away. we couldn't even flag anyone down until a manager finally walked by towards the end our meal to get some steak sauce. there was also a promo for a perfect margarita that we didn't get pitched, but we couldn't find our (or any) server to claim our free one. they offered to refill my husband's drink multiple times (3 times in maybe 5 minutes) at the end of our meal, but by that point we were pretty over it. maybe they're understaffed (or overworked) because they seem like nice folk, but the service was not there at all. So disappointed in the Applebee's on 85 in Fountain CO. We went there for my daughter 16th birthday dinner. Oh boy where to start.... maybe after being seating and the people at the next table telling us to be careful (I have never had someone do this before, so I figured whatever it can't be that bad right???) 10 mins after being seated I finally had to ask a server if they had a server for our table. "Of course let me get her" a few minutes later our server comes over and asks about our drinks, we place our orders right then to save time (btw this is at least 10 to 15 minutes after being seated) 30 mins later my server comes over and says they are backed up and our orders are going in....30 mins later.... we have now been seated an hour and our order arrives. 1 meal is completely wrong, 1 order suppose to be sizzling....chicken is tough and the shrimp is cold, 1 order had under cooked pasta and bacon on the side, and 1 order was suppose to be endless but I'll be damn if we wait another hour for a refill. Somewhere in there I was told a manger was going to come talk with us and discount our meal (this was before the meal arrived) after the meal arrived I nicely asked if the manager was still coming cause he had not yet. Server says let me get him after again explaining they are super busy (I have been a server and have dined in restaurants way busier then that, with way better service) so now to the manager who again tells me they are so busy and truly sorry for the poor service, will discount my meal greatly for all the trouble and how unacceptable the service is....YADA YADA YADA. Biggest slap in the face is when I get the bill and the discount is 10% off. I will NEVER EVER Dine at another Applebee's establishment and I truly hope that others follow suit, because why would any company change and actually give good service if we continue to give them our hard earned money with the half ass service they give now. read more

This review is based on my service for dinner on 6/30/2017. I loved the online ordering and the fact they had a online coupon I was able to get $5 off. Jackpot. After confirming my ordering, it told be it'll be ready within 15 minutes and I drove down to be sure I was there. As I parked in the Carside To Go and placed my car in park, a server came right out at the same time. I was happy I didn't have to wait. I expected maybe 5 minutes but barely 5 seconds. We had my son's 18th birthday party here. We are a very large family so there was well over 17 of us. They made room, basically our own little area, we had young kids running around in that room with us, and our waitress, Pria, from the Fountain Applebee's was fabulous. She never appeared stressed; she was extremely accomodating, (and believe me our bunch can become overwhelming to say the least!) She was beyond wonderful and did a superior job!
