The star of the experience was Rylee B. Very good, attentive service with a great attitude. Applebee's always has good food for a good price and this experience was no exception. There does seem to be a strange rule regarding ordering onion rings unless certain criteria are met. But they were very good. An Applebees that offers what we've come to expect from the chain will typically garner 3 stars. This location gets an additional star because of outstanding, friendly service. We tend to come here for meals with family when we're visiting from Florida. That means, we often have large groups. That was the case during our most recent visit when we dined here twice with groups of 12 and 15. The staff treated us well and accommodated our large party with no problems. We took advantage of some drink specials. They're featuring Spooky Sips this October and I tried a Tipsy Zombie that was as tasty as it was pretty. Aside from two meals, everything came out as expected and tasted good. One was a steak that was ordered Medium Rare and was still cold inside. The steak came back fine but it's always a bummer to watch someone waiting for their food when the rest of the table is eating. The other was an order of Salmon that was dry. Of course, things happen sometimes and that was small bumps in two otherwise enjoyable evenings out with a large group. read more

I got here over an hour and a half and we still don't have food. They also didn't provide us with knives or spoons. All the gave us were forks. My friend asked for a burger with no onions and yet she still got onions on her burger. My other friend asked for no mushrooms on her steak and yet she got mushrooms with her steak. What differentiates this commercial chain is the service! The manager let us taste of variety of fresh draft beer. We chose the Indiana local Porter from Bloomington. Excellent. Jessica, our server, was knowledgeable, personable, and clearly loves what she does. She's even working a double shift on Thanksgiving! The food is exactly what you'd expect. Wings. Spinach dip. Applebees is usually my go-to when I am out of town and can't decide on where to go. It's so budget friendly. The service is usually pretty mediocre and the food is always consistent. I was really impressed with the Applebee's in Huntington. The service was really great and everything was good. My only complaint is that we ordered two spinach dips for the table and one of them arrived with twice the amount as the other which seemed strange. Our waitress was awesome. I know someone who works for the sanitation department and said, Applebees had a horrible track record . Their food is not too exciting anyways, never struck my fancy as long as I can remember. It's just never really gave me that feeling that I'm eating out and have a good meal in my near future. After hearing about their sanitation problems, I've never returned to an Applebee's since. When we walked in, we were seated at a table for 4 turned vertically. The table behind us was still horizontal and we asked if we could tostare the table and they said no. After waiting 10 min to just get drinks we had to wait an additional 10 min to get served after watching the people who walked in 5-10 after us get served before we ever did. The servers went to all of the other tables and ignored us. When she saw that I had the stopwatch running in my phone in front of me she quickly came over. Not to mention she was shitty. "We have a server that didn't show up so what do you want". The service was horrible. And the food is horrible. Applebee's in Huntington,Indiana did not disappoint my family are lucky to get what we order one out of five visits. Took my husband out for his birthday both my order and his was not right. He got the clubhouse grill with onion rings he got fries. I ordered the new Mac and cheese bowl with chicken and bacon . Wrong bowl got the chicken and mash potatoes sent it back. What I got back to go because everyone was done still was not right someone in the kitchen needs to be retrained to know what pasta is used for Mac and cheese, what bacon is the chicken was grilled. Is this another menu change that not trained on how to make it which has not been the first time menu changes and stores don't have the right information to make or get the right ingredients to make per menu. read more

I have to pick up orders to be delivered for customers everyday. Every time I pick up an order, I have to wait at least 10 minutes for it to be ready, longest was 20 minutes. If the ticket says "pick up at 630" that means I will be there exactly at 630 to pick it up. It should be ready! The girl that does the carside seems to get distracted a lot. She's chatting with staff about her hair for god sakes. I don't see how that's more important than customers. I may just be a "delivery driver" but if I'm late with an order, I don't get paid!
