Still a solid choice for steak. It has been a good while since I have been here. Longhorn had the reputation of being pricey. On this visit I found their choices to be rather value priced. Respectable chain steakhouse... It's been years since we've been to Longhorn, but we decided to stop in after passing on a 60 minute wait at Texas Roadhouse... We walked in and were seated immediately at a bar high top. Longhorn is nicely decorated and much more "put together" than Texas Roadhouse. The restaurant did have a weird smell when we walked in; it kind of smelled like a musty old dishrag, but it wasn't strong or annoying through dinner though. Our server/bar tender was friendly and attentive. The itself food was good for it being a large chain steakhouse... All the food came out quick, and our steaks were seasoned well but not super tender (it's expected being it's a large chain that serves USDA choice). All-in-all, we enjoyed our meal... My review is based on 2 recent visits. The first visit, we were seated within a half hour - which is pretty normal for a weeknight. I ordered the ribeye, baked potato and salad. After I ordered, a little while later, the waiter said they were out of baked potatoes, but they could load up mashed potatoes. I said ok and they were pretty good - but out of baked potatoes at 6:00? My husband had requested steak sauce, but it was never brought out. The waiter brought our bill, and we said we would like dessert. I ordered the chocolate stampede (I think that is what it is called), and they said it was frozen - but they could box it up and I could take it home. Really? No baked potatoes and the dessert is frozen. The waiter was very nice, but he would say "How is everything?" while he sped by the table to somewhere else - never waiting for a response. I get they have lots of tables, but perhaps stop and see if we said anything?? Like "Where is the steak sauce I asked for?". The second visit was fine, until one of the people in our party had a piece of glass in her mouth that came from the rim of her margarita glass. We told the waiter to please remove the glass (full of her drink) and assure that it wasn't re-used. He brought another empty glass to pour the rest of her drink in that was still in the decanter. She was not offered a replacement of her almost full drink, and it was not taken off of the bill. All in all, the food was good (what was available), but they need to assure food is prepped for the entire night and step up the customer service and give the servers less tables and they should have replaced or taken the drink off of the bill. read more

There was a table of 6 on a cell phone using the FaceTime feature. At first it was a picture of the people at the table as a whole...which was fine then they were passing the phone to each other having a full loud conversation that a lot of people could here and were visibly annoyed. Very disrespectful and rude. We asked to be moved which our waitress "Micheela" did for us quickly...she was great! I explained to the manager to maybe keep an eye out for this in the future. I was there on 5/24/2025 with my grandkids aged 1.5, 4, and 6 years old after spending a day at the zoo. Service and food were great until halfway through dinner one of the kids had to go to the restroom. At that age, I couldn't let him go by himself and I couldn't take him and leave the others alone at the table, so we all went. While we were in there our table was cleared even though it was clear the kids were not finished eating. I'm guessing the server thought we had skipped out on the bill and asked the hostess if she saw us leave because she poked her head in the restroom and saw us in there. At that point when she reported to the server we were in there and our table had been cleared, some effort should have been made to replace the dinners that were removed. No such effort was made and I was charged for dinners. If I ever go back here, I will be sure to let the server know I am in the restroom and not to remove our plates. read more

My husband and I went to LongHorn at 11:00am today. In fact we were the first customers there. It took us 10 minutes to receive our drinks. We ordered our meals promptly when our drinks came. We ordered chicken tenders and a soup/salad. While we waited for our food we noticed everyone around us was already eating. We waited 35 mins and our waitress said that they burnt the chicken and that she had them make it again. We waited 5 mins and decided to abort the meal. We think she forgot to put the meal order in. My family and I were in Fort Wayne a few weeks ago and after some shopping, we were famished. I looked up nearby places to eat and found we were relatively near this Longhorn Steakhouse. We hadn't been to one in over a year, so we decided to go down memory lane... if memory lane ended in our stomachs anyway. When we came in, we were immediately sat down. We review what was available in our lunch menus. We are ordered some apps for the table which were the spicy chicken bites as well as the firecracker chicken wraps. My mother decided to only order some baked potato soup. My brother went for a burger, while I ordered a pork chop... fries were our side. We also all ordered some sombreros to drink. The drinks were especially appreciated and the food was fantastic. It certainly hit the spot! Service was excellent as well. Food was meh. Loud country music vibe. We were there when it was extremely slow. Server had the usual banter and was efficient. The bread was warm and good. Salad had a Roadhouse type of taste and was okay the filet was undercooked with pale gray on the exterior. Ordered mine medium (don't hate of the temp as I expect underdone results) but med-rare to cold rare was the result. Neither my wife and I could finish our dinners. It's located in the corner next to COSTCO (not Sam's Club, as someone has stated) and every time we go to Costco, I want to eat there. So we did. We asked for a booth but was first led to a half booth/half table. We asked the hostess for the booth and we waited a few minutes longer to get one. She was very kind about it. Our server came and took drink orders and after being asked, recommended the Spicy Chicken bites. WOW! They are amazing. Husband ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with the loaded baked potato and salad. I had the Renegade Sirloin and Shrimp combo with a loaded baked potato and salad. I asked if the French was the orange or red French. Not a fan of the orange. Server said red. It was orange. Not a huge deal. I have a food allergy to tomatoes so I ordered my salad without. Kitchen didn't get the memo and I had to return the salad. While they were quick to replace, food allergies can be serious and kitchen staff need to be more careful when it comes to this. Our food came and it was excellent! Having grown up on a farm where we raised our own beef, I'm picky about my steaks. It did not disappoint. The shrimp was tasty, although I do feel it was a little too greasy for my liking. The loaded baked potato was also incredibly good. But the dish that stole the show was the Parmesan Chicken. I will definitely be ordering that next time. It was perfection! For dessert, we shared The Molten Lava Chocolate cake. It was hot and tasted amazing... But... Every molten lava cake I've had in my life had the chocolate "lava" (hot fudge) that oozed out of the center. I'm not sure if that's not a thing at Longhorn Steakhouse or if ours was... lacking. I had a very nice experience at lunch today. I sat in the bar at a table and the bartender was very on top of his game. I didn't get any drinks today, they appear to have a fairly limited full bar and pretty much domestic beers on tap and basic beers/ciders by the bottle. I got the field green salad with grilled chicken and white balsamic vinaigrette. It was very tasty - a little large for a lunch portion but if you don't partake in the table bread appetizer it's fine. I appreciate that my server asked before assuming I wanted the house bread - I usually don't want it most places I go! The decor was what you would expect for a steakhouse chain. Nothing too fancy but definitely a nicer place to go. My only complaint is that the stools in the bar weren't very comfortable and I didn't have a rung for my length of leg to be comfortable at - the bottom was too far down and the top over flexed my knee and started to bother me by the end. Out of all of the Steakhouse chain restaurants, Longhorn Steakhouse is our favorite. Whenever we are traveling we are confident that their food is overall pretty good. Some locations are better than others, Fort Wayne, Indiana is our favorite, so far. We haven't been disappointed yet. Their Steaks, Burgers, Lamb Chops and Pork Chops have been always cooked to perfection. For us, our steaks are prepared "Pittsburgh Style", seared on the outside and rare on the inside, lightly seasoned. We like our Lamb Chops prepared the same way. We really enjoy their salads, they're always fresh with lots of crispy veggies. Our favorite dressing is their Blue Cheese with Crumbles, served on the side. The BBQ Ribs are good. We always order any sauces on the side. We have tried the shrimp a few times, they're kind of small and they were a bit dry both times. We wouldn't order them again. No one should go to a Steakhouse then order, chicken or seafood, our mistake Our servers have always been attentive. Our waitress was very attentive and everything was delicious. They bring a loaf of bread out to begin and you can ask for more if you'd like at no charge. I ordered a Moscow Mule to drink and the Grilled Chicken and Strawberry salad. The fruit in the salad was very fresh and the chicken was warm. The Raspberry vinaigrette dressing was really good and they didn't put too much to make it soggy. You can choose another dressing but this is what it comes with. My fork was dirty, my medium steak came out very WELL done (looked like a hockey puck), the bread took forever to come out because they had run out and were baking more, and my Mac and cheese was burned on top. I read the reviews before going, and it seems as though they have a lot of "off" nights. The server was AMAZING. I wish I would've gotten his name. My husband got the Big Sky burger and really enjoyed it. The white cheddar mushrooms were good as well. They did bring me out a new steak. But it was severely lacking in flavor.
