Went here for Memorial Day. Had a lot of choices but usually have good service and food. Have never been to this location and will never return. We waited at the host station for several minutes with employees walking past without even looking at us. Once we were seated we sat there for 15 minutes with wait staff walking by and never looking at us, we had the menus lying on the table ready to order for half the time. A week or so ago I wrote a scathing review of this place because I was disgusted with the employee that hated her job, didn't want to work, causing Door Dashers to leave without orders. We had unassign ourselves to avoid getting complaints from customer and to avoid receiving violations. I have been there 2 times now and the employee that was causing negative feelings has not been there. As such, the employees are having more conversations with each other, the customers are eating in peace, and the overall atmosphere improved tremendously. The staff seems happier and the diners appeared to enjoy their overall experience. As far Door Dashing, my waiting time has been nil - my food has been out on time both times since that lady left. The food went from never coming, coming whenever, to getting it immediately or waiting less than 2 minutes and it arrives. Decided to have a late lunch at Applebee's in Huntsville AL. Ordered the endless riblets, shrimp or chicken wings. I had the shrimp an my wife had the riblets. Shrimp was good, riblets marginal. Fries were a greasy, limp mess. Order was missing a Cole slaw. Ordered the chicken wings, Cole slaw, more napkins and better fries. 10 minutes later a plate of chicken wings came with about 1/4 cup of grease under them. Ate a couple after pressing them into a paper towel that I got up and got myself. Asked for check. Brought check and Cole slaw next. The service was as poor as the meal. $40 wasted!! read more

I have been eating Applebee's for years! YEARS!! Literally.... Anyway, I ordered a delivery over the weekend. It was horrible. The food was very sloppily prepared, we were missing SEVERAL items... I spent 95.00!!! It was not a good experience at all. I couldnt eat half of my food because the left out important condiments, (i.e. ranch, salsa) . My chicken was mushy and undercooked and my mozzarella sticks were trash, the were wet and swollen and not cooked all the way. My grandson did not get his order of broccolli and my daughter did not get her spinach dip. The bourbon chicken and shrimp was DRY and tasteless. My quesadillas were falling apart. Lance tried to help but all he could do was apologize and get onto his chef. Then they gave us back a crummy 29.99! What about the fees? what about the horrible chicken and shrimp? My grandson's broccoli. This will be the LAST time we spend our money at Applebee's. The place where they could care less as long as they get your money. I wish I could give them -5 stars... I tried to apply to be a Server. I showed up at the time that was listed after they berated me with texts and emails to set up an interview asap. A server told me I could sit and wait so I did for about 30-35 minutes. No one came to the table. There were more Servers in the restaurant than guests. The servers were nice but the management clearly is lacking. What if there was an issue at a table? Do you wait 30 minutes to appear? I'm going to take this as how they do their business. Ok so I worked at this location..I will say that the management is sooo awesome. I just love Cliff and Lance. They have always been a team player when they were truly needed and have always had the care and safety of their servers at heart always...however my only gripe isn't with the management in the store but rather the management located at home office, mostly the hr office. I have never had to deal with her personally, however when I purposely got framed for something I DID NOT do my voice was not heard..in fact I wrote a statement on the incident but the other employee involved never did and she actually quit, but I got fired anyway. This other employee never even tried defending herself and yet I did because my job was very important to me and yet the hr manager Christie insisted on my termination. So the point of this whole thing is be very careful if your employer by this company. Your managers are always on your side but corporate could care.less what really happened or what the truth is.. and you have no choice in this company and get shut down before you can began defending yourself. . Now that being said, there are two gemalwa at this particular location, one in carbide and one thinks she is manager but is just playing one, what ever you do stay away from them..they will lie on you and cost you your job and smile in your face while they do it... read more

I came in one day just around lunch. The entire place was empty. Maybe there was one man at the bar and one person eating. I sat down and waited about 30 minutes. I finally flagged someone down to make an order. I make my to go order and wait. Still about 45 minutes later still no waiter to be seen. I sat for another 15 minutes (so keep in mind at this point id been there an hour and a half and there was not anyone in there being served ahead of me) I have to leave to go get my husband from his class at a&m and im running late. To start, I usually have a good experience at this particular Applebee's. But last Saturday was not one. We went there for my mother's birthday. Our server Lotus was rude to us and her co-workers right in front of us! She and another older woman were insulting the new wait staff to the tables next to us because they accidentally spilled some chips in her section. We already had our drinks and then our server walked by without a word and slammed a water on our table! It made my mother jump! The food was good as usual. When my mom was brought her birthday dessert, our server came alone and just said " sorry i can't sing" and walked away. Then we said how to split the tickets. First time they were wrong which happens so no big deal. My mom's friend takes them over to her and explains again while she is at a computer. She does it wrong again. So we just dealt with it and paid. I could've gotten over it but it was my mom's birthday and the experience screwed some of it up. Don't insult your co-workers or staff in front of customers. This was a TERRIBLE experience. Our server Forrest was very inconsistent as well as rude. We asked how much longer it would be on our food, after already waiting longer than 30 minutes, and Forrest's response was " idk I also have other customers to handle besides you" in a very rude manner. Excellent service and great value. You wouldn't think steaks on the 2 for $20 would be good but they are TENDER. And cooked correctly every time. I frequent this Applebee's about 3 times a month. The servers are attentive. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. They even have a brownie and ice cream dessert for .99 Cents! The menu changes enough to keep it interesting yet they keep the good old standards. Another great thing about this place is that it is OPEN LATE. There are very few non-fast food not a smoky bar restaurants in Huntsville to eat at after 10 p.m. You can order food until 12 or 1 a.m. I think.
