They were super busy (and seemingly short staffed) however, that didn't stop them from being Johnny-on-the-spot greeting us, taking our order, and getting our drinks, apps, and entrees to us in a timely matter. Our waitress even kept apologizing for how busy she was, but that sweet lady was HUSTLING!! We got build your own burgers and fries for sides, and everything was hot, flavorful, and the fries were crispy and seasoned, burgers were juicy and perfectly cooked! It's your typical scene when it comes to sit-down burger places, nothing extraordinary, but it was comfy and accessible! Getting 4 stars ONLY because of the price. Our family of 3 getting an entree each, one appetizer to share, and 2 sodas 1 water walked out paying $91 after tip, so, don't go here if you're looking for budget friendly! Aside from the cost, which is comparable to just about everywhere these days, it's definitely worth a try! Was on vacation and choose this place to have lunch at. There wasn't any tables available so I ended up sitting at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and pleasant to interact with. I started out with a Bacon Bloody Mary and told her to make it spicy and the drink didn't disappoint because it was so tasty. I also started out with some fried pickles and I didn't expect the appetizer to be so much food because I ended up taking the rest to go. I ordered a Heat Wave burger and I asked for the condiments on the side and I'm so glad I did because the ketchup and mustard had a heat of spiciest that would've made my burger really hot to not be able to eat. The only reason for the 4 stars is because you have to purchase your side items separately which doesn't include on the burger, but I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that wants a good burger. read more

Had to wait at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes until someone came up front to seat me, but that was the worst part of the whole visit. We had a not so good experience when we visited. 1 - I have food allergies and intolerances. I specifically ordered a "build your own burger" so that I could simply not order the items I can't eat. I ate half my burger before realizing there was cheese on it. I thought it tasted odd but wrote it off as the avocado was maybe overly ripe. The server offered to bring me a second one but I didn't want any more food in body knowing what was to come later that night. To be fair, the manager was amazing about the whole thing. Comped the burger and was very apologetic. The server was not. He never apologized and actually tired to claim that I ordered it with cheese. No, why would I order something that makes me sick for 3 days later? 2 - The women's room was disgustingly filthy. One of the toilets was over flowing and rather than fix it? They put a rubber bath mat down! So now if you use that stall? You're stepping on a mat soaked with filthy toilet water. Friends and I went one Sunday afternoon for dinner. We sat at the bar, one bartender and he had several tables. It was a long wait on food and drink, just to order. He was definitely backed up and needed some help. This also led into the kitchen staff (which we overheard was having drama), my burger sliders patties were charred. I ordered the horseradish mayo to add flavor and it was a really tasty sauce (my husband never got his). The tater tots were great, our favorite part of the meal. First time trying this restaurant last night... ordered through Door Dash. I have to say my cheeseburger was AMAZING!! Hot, fresh and absolutely DELICIOUS!! May be the BEST BURGER I've had in my 54 years. I got the American burger and everything from the bun to the meat and everything in between were totally delicious!! I also asked for a side of the special Bad Daddy's burger sauce and MAN-O-MAN was it good!! Had just the right 'kick' to it... And the "Build Your Own Salad" had the freshest lettuce, as well as super fresh vegetable toppings, and really great homemade traditional ranch dressing! I was very impressed and pleased. Well friends, Bad Daddy's Burger Bar shoots a hole straight thought my logical musings. THIS is a place for salads!! You start with your choice of greens then pick up to 7 ingredients from an extensive list of veggies and cheeses, a smattering of fruit, a cluster of crunchies. and a bunch of dressings (many housemade). For an upcharge you can also add a burger, grilled or fried chicken or wild-caught salmon to this mound of goodness. Go ahead, pull off a paper towel from the roll on the table, borrow a pen from your server and write down your choices - it will help you keep them straight and trust me, your server will thank you. I won't bore you with the details of my salad but I will tell you that I ordered the salmon and it was fantastic - it was a huge piece and totally upped an excellent salad into the extraordinary range. I ordered the large salad and had enough to take home for breakfast the next day. (Don't judge - my husband does enough of that for both of y'all!) My MIL ordered the small and still had a hard time finishing it. Never to be outdone , the BIL also strayed from the burgers and ordered the Philly. He raved and raved over it. The salad options were terrific, particularly the choice to get iceberg lettuce instead of romaine. The bad: The grilled chicken was dry and tasted old. It wasn't made clear that sides are not included with main dishes. This and the inflated drink prices for non-alcoholic drinks made a lunch for three people cost more than $80 with tax and tip. The ugly: Our party of five was seated directly in the pathway of multiple speakers when we could have been seated at many other tables which would have allowed us to converse and actually hear each other. Bottom line: This restaurant is best suited for non-gourmand, heavy drinkers who are unconcerned with enjoying the pleasures of conversation. We have gone to BDBB a couple more times since our first carryout experience and I have to say it has grown on me. Service is a little variable - it's been awesome some times and then slow and a little surly others, but the food, especially when dining in, tends to be pretty solid. Fries and sauces are yummy, buns are soft, everyone I've been with on these trips has enjoyed their meals, etc. My current obsession from here, though, is the fried pickles! Didn't know I liked fried pickles till I tried these: super long, thin, so so crispy, with flavorful breading. Dunk them in the ranch and see how good they really are! read more

I ordered an Arnold Palmer with unsweetened tea/ lemonade and what I got was not it. When I asked what brand of lemonade they had, the waitress said they didn't have lemonade (not sure what I received) ! Also, we ordered three different burgers, all medium rare, we all received well done burgers. Why ask how we would like them cooked if you are not going to cook them the way they are ordered. We hadn't been to this place in over a year based on our previous experiences, SO it looks like this will be our last. There are definitely better burger options in Huntsville. read more

((Sigh)) the good ole days of enjoying friends' company in restaurants! On Shrove (Fat) Tuesday my work GNO selected Bad Daddy's for our monthly get together and it was the largest turnout we had - 12 (maybe 13 actually, I don't recall) of us met up! I got there super early to secure seating, as we were worried that with pending Mardi Gras the place may pack out. I think I got there at 3:15. It was a beautiful (rare, I know, around here) Feb. Tuesday and I was dying for a nice glass of vino. Needing something on my belly, I got the chips and queso which was a deal at the bar and let the kind bartender know I was anticipating a large group to join me, at a somewhat staggered pace. Decent chips and queso, and a large portion of chips. The restaurant was not busy at this time and shift change was about to happen. From eating at Outback somewhat regularly, I knew the Outback bartender worked at BDBs too (hardworking guy working two jobs to support his two children!). Anyway, I really like this bartender and he was due to take the 4:00 shift - score! Great guy. (I feel badly that I can't recall his name!) When said bartender got settled in, he was kind enough to push together some bar tables and make room for us and allow me to camp out until my GNO group arrived. He had us hooked up, logistics wise with paper towel "napkins," condiments, setups, the various "build your own" menus, and chairs. The ladies started arriving and our server (again, her name escapes me) was doing fine. Getting drink orders and taking care of MJ who needed to leave early and was smart to pregame the menu and put her order in right away. She got some HH sliders (I think they were on HH pricing). MJ had the most seamless experience of us all. For most of us, it was our first time at BDB and it took a while for everyone to decide what to order. I do not like hamburgers and was vacillating between the turkey, black bean, or tuna burger and decided on the tuna. We all shared some apps as we waited on our meals, enjoying everyone's company. Then the wheels fell off. The place did get packed! Our server went poof while we were in need of cocktail/vino/beers and trying to maximize HH. The manager helped our server "run" our plates out. It seems like, after a really long wait for our meals, there was at least one mistake on every plate. Also, our waters weren't refilled properly. Rather than wait on our ghosted server, I stood in line at the bar to get another glass of wine. I had given my credit card to our server (even the cash out process took a long time), but I still wanted a wine. Hence standing in line at the bar and having to use a backup credit card to pay for another (past HH price) wine. The tuna burger was good. I can't recall much about it, really. Some of the ladies complained that their bacon tasted weird. The tots were, well, tots, so of course they were good. MJ said her sliders were good, I think it was a trio of various types. This restaurant has character and more TVs than you can count, and one of the best bartenders on the planet (I'll update with his name when I can). But, I cannot recommend it for a large group. I think our server should have asked for help waiting on us. We are not demanding (well MJ can be high maintenance but she was in and out pretty quickly) but we do have a basic expectation regarding level of service (quick greeting, provide water, provide refills, you know, service industry 101). If I return to BDB, I'll sit at the bar, where the service is great and maybe try the turkey or black bean burger. read more

I've been wanting to give BD's a try since their opening I preferably desired a dine in experience when I was able to, but with social distancing measures, options are few. I gave it a shot tonight through Door Dash. I ordered the Emilio Chicken sandwich. This sandwich was indeed large and in charge, but the maker went heavy on the guac and poblano mayo, which made a partially soggy sandwich. Because of its size, there were drier parts of it left to be enjoyed. The texture of the chicken breading was perfect in those areas. I would suggest requesting light toppings or OTS, unless you enjoy you enjoy soggy breading and/or buns. The truffle fries....they too were soggy & disappointing - cold and greasy. Those were a $2 to add on. Admittedly, I attempted to doctor them up with the parmesan cheese and truffle cream provided OTS, but my efforts failed and hope was lost. To be fair, the temp could've been due to the delivery time. My first experience with BD left much to be desired for an $18 order. I really wanted to enjoy it. I would probably give them another try in the future when when dining in is permitted. read more

Probably the best black bean burger I've had. For my meal, I'd give it 5 stars for being a very solid vegetarian burger. However my friend did not like his meal and a single burger with fries ended up costing him $20. Mine was $14 I did the build your own. There was a good choice of options and I really liked the chipotle sauce. I was slightly disappointed in that you can't substitute fried pickles for fries. My friend is vegan and their menu is not vegan friendly. He wanted an impossible burger and the way he had to order cost him almost double and the server didn't mention it to him. read more

We stopped by for burgers last weekend and were so pleasantly surprised by how this joint has gotten even better. The staff was oh-so-cheerful, the place was oh-so-clean, and it was a delightful time. Our server was majorly swamped--seating guests, working the bar, and serving tables--but she did a great job (and I wish I'd caught her name). We started off with the fried pickles (because of course we did), and they were awesome as usual. Y'all, this is about a jar of pickles deep fried. You are not living your best life if you don't get these. We both got burgers--mine had bacon, arugula, and some sort of aioli--and better half just got a regular cheeseburger. They were cooked to order (medium), tasty as always, and the fries were piping hot. Nothing to complain about here except the Pepsi products only, but I don't think that's their fault. I visited Bad Daddy's Burgers on Day 2. I arrived a few minutes before their opening time of 11:00 am and they went ahead and seated me. Ebony took my drink order as I reviewed the menu. I settled on the create your burger option and selected a 10 oz burger (medium well), pepper jack cheese, bacon, on a brioche bun with fries. Selecting your burger configuration is easy with the create your burger checklist pad located on each table. You check the box of every item you want on your burger and give the paper to the server. Easy Peasy! It took longer than normal, or at least what I think it should take, to receive my order. I chalk that up to the medium well burger and 2nd-day kitchen jitters. The burger looked good and tasted even better. The meat was properly cooked and was very juicy. I call this a 2-napkin burger because you will need at least 2 napkins to wipe the juices from your chin as you eat the burger. The fries were good; they appeared to be hand-cut. A small paper cup of Bad Daddy's sauce came with the meal. I used it as a dip for my fries. The sauce had a slightly spicy kick that I liked. The interior of the restaurant has a "garage décor" with roll-up garage doors, gas station replica signage, and decorative diamond plate panels. There is a small outdoor seating area and they have tinted shades to block the direct sun as it sets in the West. The food is good, but not cheap. My burger, fries, and diet Pepsi were $19.24 before tip. Because this was one of the best burgers that I have ever eaten I guess the phrase "you get what you pay for" is appropriate. read more
