Honestly I was pretty satisfied with my visit. I got the all you can eat boneless wings/shrimp/rib-lets deal. I ordered my first round of boneless wings, went to the bathroom, and about a minute after I got back the food arrived. It was just me so they didn't have to worry about preparing other dishes and it wasn't busy there, but still that was pretty fast. My favorite sauce on the wings was garlic parmesan, they had just enough sauce and were really tasty. The honey BBQ sauce wings were good. The shrimp were fine, nothing special about them. Everything was quite salty though. Also I was not impressed with their coleslaw, it didn't have much flavor. Otherwise I was satisfied and would come back. read more

Our server was so bad! Took forever to get water, our drinks, I got my dinner after 40 minutes, but my wife's and her mom's dinner never came. Kept trying to flag our waitress down after waiting 30 minutes for our drinks and then our missing dinners, but was finally able to nab another server to get our drinks and then finally missing food. The service was amazing and the waitress was very sweet and kind. The energy/ambiance of the restaurant was great. The main thing that slacked hardcore was the food. My husband and I got the "2 for $26". The appetizer, the spinach artichoke dip and chips, were amazing and it was really good. Are entrees however were not as great. My husband got the cheeseburger and he requested no onions and no tomato and for there to be no pink. When he received his burger however it was very pink in the center and still looked a little raw but not too raw enough to where it was not edible. The hamburger still had onion but that was easy to take off. I got the riblet plate and I am very disappointed on how they turned out. They tasted and felt like they were frozen, freezer burnt, and were still cooked. My husband tried my ribs and was very disappointed. Not worth the money we spent. read more

This was my first time ever at an Applebee's and I have to say, I very much enjoyed the experience and the food. We stopped here on our long trip up to Montana, we were looking for a geographically convenient place to eat that had a few different options. And since I have never eaten at an Applebee's before, I decided to give it a try. Going into it, I was not expecting much, I mean come on, it's an Applebee's. To be honest, other than the commercials and some comments from other people I really didn't know much about it. The atmosphere inside is about the same of that of a TGI Friday's although because it was a cold evening that day, much quieter. The food options were pretty good but since we were up north, I decided to go the simple route and order a steak. Surprisingly, it was quite tasty! I was impressed that it was cooked very well (medium rare) and the wait staff was also very friendly and welcoming. All-in-all, a very pleasant experience and the fact that our food came out quick, was tasty and it was conveniently located hit all my requirements at the time. I am pretty sure that not all Applebee's are built the same but, as far as this location, it was definitely worth the stop. read more

Went to Applebees today after the lunch rush. Waited at the door for over 5 minutes with no one in front of us. We were seated quickly and the waitress took our order fairly quickly and that was where it changed. I ordered a mushroom-swiss burger. They asked if I wanted it pink or not. I requested no pink with fries. What I received was a barely warm burger with swiss loaded with onions (which I did not ask for, maybe I did not read the description well enough) and very pink in the middle with a very tiny dab of garlic mayo. There were about 5 pieces of mushrooms total. The fries were totally cold. The waitress received a group of about 12 across from us and that is the last we saw of her. She wasn't even the one to bring our food. She never asked me if we wanted a refill on our drinks until we asked for the check. We paid our bill and left. We filled out the on line survey and opted not to accept their $10 coupon. Will not be going back. Way too many good places to eat. read more

Just passing through with my family and I read up on this place here before we went. It had been FOREVER since we went a Applebee's. Everything was great! Just LOOK at my pasta picture! It tasted as good as it looked + BETTER! I'm a vegetarian and was accommodated very well! :3 My only complaint and reason forPenne Pasta withholding one star from this review is that even with Covid we were seated in a small section that had two other tables already eating there. Granted, my family could have said no to the spot but it would have been awkward. I just wish the staff had been more mindful of social distancing in seating arrangements. read more

The Chicken Broccoli Alfredo had overcooked pasta that was stuck together and chewy, the broccoli was very hard and had HUGE pieces that I couldn't even cut through. The chicken was pretty good and there was a lot of it in the dish. They had a burger on the menu that mentioned having lots of bacon and a tangy sauce. The burger was somehow spicy with no warning and the waiter seemed annoyed when we asked for a regular bacon burger. My partner who was eating the burger went outside for some air and the waiter quickly walked by and snatched up the plate of the unwanted burger. I'd say the best part of the meal was appetizers. Walked all the way across the Hampton Inn parking lot for happy hour and dinner and found a stool in the bar. I ordered a delicious local amber called Scotch that was as good as any Fat Tire, Shiner Bock or Alaskan Amber I have ever had. Kick ass smooth and tasty. I saw the Happy hour specials and rather than a regular dinner opted for the beef nachos that were posted as a Happy Hour special price @ $8.00. That paired with the beer was all I really needed as I was not that hungry. The corn chip & cheese nacho platter was good, not great as the ground beef and cheese was pretty scarce. I ate it all, finished my pint and closed out. When I returned to my room, I noted I was charged full menu price for the nachos, not the $8.00 advertised happy hour amount posted on the specials card. Consider me as feeling ripped off! There is no legitimate reason to be charged full price when the beer ordered at the same time was noted as happy hour discounted. Its no wonder I don't ever feel good about Applebee's! Pretty poor value and deceptive when they post a price and then don't honor it! It will be a rainy day in hell before I repeat a visit at Applebee's when they post a special happy hour price and deliberately overcharge! read more

Im only giving a 5 star review for the awesome bartender lady which has little to do with my review. If it wasn't for her it would be -10 :( I just got done working a 12 hour shift and just wanted to eat and relax. And had to repeat myself twice and then he got me the wrong drink, fine whatever. Food was good so hats off to the cooks, *chief's kiss* and then I payed and asked for my receipt and he made me wait forever and then this is where the cool bartender lady comes in, she asked if I was still waiting for my receipt and I said "yes" and then after she took a short walk to the back. Went there on a Sunday night. There was no wait and the ambience is nice casual dining, bar setting, but still caters to families. I had the strawberry salad with chicken and loved that the salad tasted fresh, well presented, with the strawberries and the dressing artistically placed on the plate. It was delicious. I also had the blondie dessert with ice cream on top. That dessert hit the spot. The tomato basil soup was very tasty but the serving was small. Server did not attempt to make any service recovery and just tried to explain the issue. Told him I was not interested in why it happened, it happened and the server did not attempt to resolve the issue (either through remaking or not charging for it). The hostas came back and asked him what he was doing there and he said he was picking up a to go order. NOT color friendly!!!! ONLY for white people. My family and I arrived and it was not busy we took our seats and as soon as we went in EVERYONE (white ppl) gave us the nasty looks. Super uncomfortable. Ten minutes passed and not one of the multiple servers who have passed us came to our table. Incredibly disappointing way to end our road trip of Wyoming and Idaho. These are great places to visit but unfortunately if you're not white, you'll be uncomfortable for most of your trip. My family and I decided to leave and a white lady who kept staring to see if anyone would help us also looked disappointed when we left. It's good to know not everyone is racist in these towns. I should have written a review the last time I came here but I didn't. First this is no reflection of the server we had today. She was really good. I ordered from the build your appetizer menu. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and taco topped queso and chips. The quesadilla was okay but the queso was cold. Seriously, very, very cold. It didn't take long for our food to come out. I don't understand why it was so cold. It was disgusting. My friend's fries were cold too. My experience was so bad the previous time I went I said it would be the last time. Evidently I didn't learn my lesson. I didn't say anything either time because I don't trust what might happen to my food. Eating out is too expensive to keep throwing money at restaurants that don't value the customer experience. Maybe I learned my lesson... finally. read more

Don't believe the negativity because in all honesty this place farrrkin ruled! Came in late after driving all night since Applebee's was the only place open. Food grade for eating in restaurant is a 4 but to get a beer at the bar after 9 is ridiculous. It is more like sit and listen to employees mother fuck the restaurant and every customer they had that day. Employees seem like a tight knit group that hate who they work for and who they wait on. The man who seated us was really friendly. Tawni, the waitress was really nice as well and prompt on speed. I had asked for a diet Pepsi with no ice. It came with ice and I could not drink it. I have really sensitive teeth to cold which is why I asked. The BBQ boneless wings were edible, but not great. It tasted like cheap bbq sauce which did not taste well. My penne pasta dish was a mess. It was suppose to have 3 different cheeses and ne creamy. It was watery, and I could taste none of the cheeses or anything else that was in it. Just tasted like wet noodles with tomato. My husband ordered the steak salad. It was even worse. The greens were wilted and it was suppose to have corn chips, black beans, etx. It had maybe 3 black beans and no corn chips. The nachos for the appetizer were really soggy. There was no crunch to it really at all. The breadstick I had with my dinner was rock solid on one side. It almost cracked my tooth. Absolutely, hands down, the worst experience AFTER dinner I have ever experienced. I have never written a review right after dinner; In fact I am sitting at our hotel lobby using their computer to post this because it needs to be read. My father is on the road and we decided to drive from Utah to Idaho Falls to come visit him for a few days over the weekend and treat him to a dinner that is different from the normal hotel food. We gave him a choice of any restaurant in Idaho Falls and he conservatively chose a safe bet - Applebee's. We were seated quickly and the first thing we did was place the electronic menu/game screen they now have on the tables up on the window sill (this will come into play later in the review). they were busy and I am sure under a lot of stress. I have briefly worked in a restaurant and know this can be stressful. Our server, Sadie, was as attentive as she could be and we understood. Dinner and dessert were served with no issues, you could tell Sadie was stressed out but that was no issue. The check came and I paid. When the receipt came out for me to sign, I glanced at the receipt and noticed that we had been charged $1.99 for a game. Remember that electronic menu/game screen we put on the window sill? Yep. Now this has happened once before and that's why we had no interest in using it. I questioned Sadie and she stated it could have been a kid that ran by and touched the screen before we were seated and that I should have reviewed the receipt before I paid. she then mentioned that she was sorry and they could take care of it. I then asked if that meant that they would have to charge my card again for the adjusted amount. She did not know..... Enter Chelsey (another server). Sadie asked Chelsey if this would be the case (card being charged twice). Without skipping a beat Chelsey stated "It's because you touched the button!" She didn't even hear the question apparently. At that point my wife was providing feedback for the use of these electronic devices at the tables and that it was feedback for Applebee's corporate since this continues to be an issue. Meanwhile I asked for a manager. Tina (the manager) came to our table and proceeded to reiterate our responsibility in the matter effectively continuing to place blame on us, the guests of the restaurant. While we were in the middle of the conversation with the manager, Chelsey decided to again put her two cents in and stated that we should calm down and that we have been rude to all of the servers. I WAS DUMBFOUNDED! First of all, we had, up until that point, only interacted with Sadie and continued to state that we were upset at what happened but it was not a reflection on the service she provided. Second of all, this must have been a defense Chelsey was playing since she was clearly out of line shouting that we "touched the button" and now a manager was involved. Bottom line, I get that Saturday nights in a restaurant can be stressful but I can tell you that for what it's worth, Applebee's has lost any future business simply because of Chelsey's actions. Thank you Chelsey, for ruining what could have ended in a good night by lying and placing blame on your guests. Sadie and Tina, although it could have been handled slightly different, did an ok job. I will definitely be happy to eat at a competitor's establishment going forward, far far away from Applebee's in Idaho Falls. read more
