This was a fantastic steak sandwich! Appetizers were spectacular and filled with flavor. Daily special, steak sandwich served here with tots. Phenomenal! We will be BACK!!!! Only for the most sophisticated palette. I don't think these words can do this meal justice, let's paint a picture together like ol Bobby Ross. This experience was like a newborn penguins first belly slide down an iceberg, like putting on a fresh pair of socks after getting a 9 month ankle cast removed, like having your first strawberry twistee at Butter Burr, like scratching that itch in the center of your back with a nicely shaded hardwood tree, like watching the movie Hot Rod for the first time after a few too many refreshments you snuck into your nephews little league soccer game. It's just that good.

We have been visiting the Press Box on Tuesday nights for steak night for months now. You cant beat the value of $7.99 for this yummy steak salad!

Great service, people are good people, the food wasn't what it should have been. My steak was overcooked.

However, the photos of the food and drink did not match what we received in any way. Bit disappointing to order a fun bright pink drink with gold sugar rim and just get a dull vaguely pink drink, no rim. The drinks are also very watered down, which is probably not surprising for Applebees.

We weren't checked up on as often as other tables were in our section. Me and my friends were still enjoying our drinks and she immediately came to our table and handed us our receipts and told us to use the kiosk to pay and leave. As well, when she handed us our receipts, she didn't split our items evenly and blamed us that we had ordered a lot for her to remember who ordered what, when she could've came and asked us to double check that our payments were correct. While me and my friends were still trying to enjoy the remainder of our time trying to make the best of it, she took the kiosk from our table and handed it to other tables, mind you we were surround by lots of empty tables with kiosks. Sara's service could've been a lot better, and it felt like we didn't matter as customer here at Applebees.

We read; The Sand Trap, and saw it's logo--the flagstick (golf hole pin), and immediately…read morecelebrated. "Yes! The last time we went to a clubhouse bar & grille the experience was fantastic." Then we did research--Oh boy lol, it's near a golf course at least, and it is a sports bar & grill, so off to Pokey we went. After a fun little stop for coffee in Blackfoot along the way, we headed off to West Chubbuck Rd. via 91 South. Off the hwy, and into town, anticipating arriving at the restaurant after every stretch of property that could have held a golf course--But no, I was jumping the gun. We kept traveling down the old road of evolving names, past all the commerce area, past the homes, and past the point of me feeling confident in my navigation app--started to think we were lost. Traveling down Old Bannock highway, until finally on Pocatello's south tip some roadside establishments appeared. With a big Budweiser truck along the shoulder, and that very welcome digital sound voice "You're destination is on the left" I scanned for the name and logo--Eureka! Nice large parking lot with wheelchair access, and a bike rack out front--a space for everyone. The inside environment is high-heritage, beer-centric sports tavern with an affluent local soul. It's a warmly lit sports lounge with a textured quartz stone trim (Tried a video of this for you). Along with dedicated photos of today's memories and past, there is an entertaining collage of abstract Ads, untypical beer mirrors, and signs that crowd the walls triumphantly displaying unique logos. There are two mountain bikes secured above the doorway--fitting of a true sports bar. The tables and booths are In close proximity to each other, but space enough to be private. Perfect for a gathering, or a scattering. Many of the patrons we saw, know the bartender/server (Who is a young man) by name, and are themselves a little elderly. This place is a real old-time buddies sports clubhouse, with a vibe that welcomes everyone. Good thing too; It would be a shame for anyone to miss out Isac's, (ēzak) friendly and superior skills. He's a great server, handled our orders like a pro. It's easy to see that he's been doing this for a while. He kept perfect pace with the customers needs (Even as the place started filling up a bit) and the kitchen putting out the food. Seven* for the solo, unshakable Bar-Server! The smell inside was crippling me! My stomach growling--it was trying to eat the delicious smell. That makes it really hard to concentrate, and find the perfect item/s, cuz you want it all lol. The menu has a something for every type of comfort hungry appeal. Finally! We decided on food. A 3 Piece Appetizer Combo, and Steak Fingers for us to share. A Crispy Chicken Salad for her, and I had the Roast Beef Sandwich. It comes with your choice of wheat or sourdough. Toasted sourdough for me--no contest. I really overdid it with a just thick enough to be a chore to get thru the straw, Strawberry Shake--SO GOOD. Ok I shoulda been done a long time ago, but they had Mac & Jacks African Amber! I mean, amber lovers know I got a mug But yeah, like always, we ordered too much food. The Steak Fingers are BOMB!, not your typical over breaded and burnt, pieces of drowned in oil nuggets. These were STEAK.....FINGERS. There is a difference. She loved her her Salad, and my Sandwich, man that was tasty. Thinly sliced roast, and from the smell inside freshly roasted, perfectly seasoned, well toasted yet juicy. Dang! My side was a fresh house-made Chicken Noodle & Vegetable Soup that I can't even describe. You'll have to see the photos--this masterpiece even has fresh cut potatoes. Those things were good and tasty to great. Butttt at some point, the appetizers all being deep fried started tasting the same. So maybe we over did it, or maybe my order wasn't a hole in one, but I'm confident you'll love it. So 5* overall, but even with some standout items 4* on the food. Thanks for reading. Need to see the Pics.

You receive either a salad or bread complimentary when you are having a meal. I've enjoyed the firecracker shrimp, Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and the Bear Claw at different times. It takes awhile sometimes for your food but I wasn't in a hurry so I was ok. A couple small tables left due to the wait. The bartender (Dustin or Justin) is always the very best!! A Happy go lucky guy, makes good drinks (especially lemon drop martinis) and keeps an eye on his customers. Some servers need to smile, be happy and at least act like they like their jobs. Now I want to tell you about this visit because they have recently gone through a remodel, which I will say has created a much more inviting layout. Despite the impressive remodel, one aspect is identical to my other two visits to this establishment--The atmosphere is just lonely and sad. I mean they must have a busy time because, they brought on the bartender during this visit, they also had a hostess, and more than one server. So they must be expecting some business at some point--‍‍--right? It's too bad though, because the food is actually pretty good. The problem is though, the menu is really limited. I guess that's to be expected though, focus on preparing a few really good dishes. That makes sense to me I guess. The problem with the menu, is that not only is it limited, but most of the items on it, do not list the components. So you're ordering a wagyu burger, without knowing if it comes with lettuce tomato bacon cheese, nothing. You have to ask your server. Okay, that's fine, I'll do that. As a matter of fact, I will gladly do that because our server was fantastic. Didn't spend too long at the table, but when needed, she absolutely was a joy to interact with, and made sure we got exactly what we needed. All of the employees, we're just lovely. Sweet, and gladly interacted with us. As a matter of fact, the bartender who was lol just leaning on the bar because she had nothing to do and no customers, noticed that I was taking pictures of some of the artwork. She smiled and informed me of one of the artist's name. I am the inconsiderate one who has forgotten the name so quickly. I'm just really bad with names. Just know that the artwork is local artists. I like a good burger, so when it came time to order I ended up getting a Wagyu burger with pepper jack cheese, and no lettuce or tomato (I'm allergic to fresh tomato, I can handle processed sauces and for some reason I can deal with fresh cut Pico, but don't even touch me with a fresh slice of tomato), with mashed potatoes and gravy as my side. I will tell you, that Patty was probably pre-made, but in house and it was thick and meaty--boy I tell you that was a burger patty. I would have preferred some diced onion in it, but that would eliminate a lot of people from ordering their burgers lol. She got really nice looking 8 ounce pork chop and gravy, with some root vegetables on the side. As if that wasn't enough food, we gluttonously got an appetizer, the Shoban Nachos--which were the highlight of the meal for me. Ground beef and olives, spices, all atop pieces of puffy fry bread. I recommend getting those nachos. In addition to the toppings I listed, it normally comes with lettuce and tomato, but you know I took that off. I can't even think of nachos, and lettuce and tomato at the same time lol. Honestly, it was so good I should have tried it the way it was intended. Comes with a nice Guac & sour cream, and I think the other dip was fry sauce. We also got some sort of strawberry named dessert lol I was too full to really get into that, it was small so that was appropriate. All in all, the food is yummy, and a dang good meal if you're at the casino or hotel. I am just going to say, if you've got a decent amount of eateries in your hometown, you can find something equally as good, so driving to Fort Hall is not recommended.
