I don't know why I continue to go to Applebee's because I am always disappointed. My latest disappointment was today when I ordered takeout. I ordered a salad, the chicken strawberry vinaigrette salad. I don't think they can mess up a salad, but they put the worst possible parts of lettuce in the salad and that's all that was in the worst part of the lettuce. I think this is it. This is the straw that be the camel's back. I don't think I'll be going back again. I cannot recommend this Applebee's to anyone. This used to be my regular Applebee's, but as of recent, this is my second time going with new staff being in there. And the staff completely lack attentiveness to your orders. You're being charged for things you didn't even receive or not even receiving, you know, the right order. You're waiting for on average about 30 minutes to 45 minutes for simple orders, and everyone doesn't even receive their food at the same time, and then once you pay your bill, no one's paying you any attention. You have to wave down one of the managers just to get a bag and box, and then once the staff see the manager over there, now they want to be attentive. "Is everything OK?" And it's like, is everything OK? I already paid you, tipped you, and then you just completely disregard me, it's sad you pay through a POS system that conveniently doesn't immediately give you a bill break down, I don't if it's the lack of training or just lack of care, but never again read more

This is going to be brutal but I wouldn't even bother reviewing if I did think it would help you make a better choice and on the slim chance this business read their reviews and take action. Why was I even here? A quick drink while in the area. Bartender was friendly enough, upselling the liquor did not go unnoticed, but he was too easily distracted by a bored coworker instead of focusing on the guests. Said bored coworker kept interrupting with his personal conversations when he probably could have served the establishment better by wiping down dirty menus or better yet making those handy napkin rolls with the cutlery inside because the bartender only gave us a two paper napkins and a fork. No condiments, no wet naps even though we ordered ribs. Messy business. And the floors were sticky in the bathroom. We visited recently on a Sunday evening (3/21), asked for a table for 2 with the hostess (restaurant at 60-65% capacity), led to a side area, was a bit disturbed to see trash on the floor/stairs/next to trash cans as we were walking through, table was up against 2 booths with 6 people and coughing toddlers, asked to be seated at a small empty table at the end of the row away from all that only to be told it was reserved for a server who wasn't seated there, hostess said she would look for something else, when we returned to the hostess stand she was gone and never returned, after several minutes we left, swearing not to return any time soon. My only complaint was the plastic tableware that was given for our meal (4 ppl). Normally I would have exited the restaurant. The manager visited the table upon completion of meal, informed him and he didn't offer an apology and insisted they have silverware. I haven't been to this Applebee's in a long time. Decided to stop in for lunch. I was seated right away. The waitress was friendly enough. Doing her job (I feel) the best she could with it being short staffed. I decided on a mushroom Swiss burger. It was delicious with sauteed onions and Swiss cheese on a brioche bun. I also got a small bowl of creamy tomato soup with croutons and French fries. The soup was delicious. Only thing....I asked to get my soup with my meal. I had to send it back because they brought it out after mentioning twice that I wanted it with my meal. Overall I enjoyed my meal and might go back if I'm in the area. read more

This review is a SHOUT OUT to management and their professionalism...my homie and I rolled into Applebee's for appetizers and burgers. It was buzzing with customers--and the servers were on their toes. There were mix ups with the appetizers--and the burgers were late...but the manager approached our table, apologized for the inconvenience...and told us our meal was on the house. We weren't expecting that!!! It's service like that which keeps customers happy--and return visits!!!! I love Applebee's anyway (mushroom burger was slamming)! I think that the sodium, calories, and carbs in the food is quite outrageous and they should change the recipes to all of the foods in all locations they prepare in this establishment so that way other people can come and enjoy some of the foods because somepeople do have health issues they are trying to take care of without worrying whether or not they are eating healthy food. I used to love eating the three cheese chicken penne but I had no idea that it had 99 grams of carbs at all I thought that the carb count would be much lower then that. They do have good service and they are very attentive and the ambiance is amazing. I also think that Applebees needs to bring back the chocolate fudge sundae shooter because it was a much better healthier dessert than the ones they have on their menu. read more

A group of us reserved a table for lunch yesterday. The server, Alexis, was efficient and friendly from the first hello. The food was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal. And there was hot water in the ladies room! That doesn't happen in many restaurant bathrooms. Staff checked in several times to make sure all of us were satisfied with our meals. I went on May 14, 2022 at 2:45 pm and was seated right away. The waitress was very pleasant. The drinks and appetizer came in a reasonable time which allowed time for conversation and some quick bites before the main entrees came. The chef brought out the food and it was very hot, which I like. The music was great. I had to use the restroom and to my surprise- it was EXTREMELY clean. I was super shocked. All in all, there was minimal wait time, the food came out hot, there was excellent customer service, and there's parking right in the front as well. read more

Love Applebees but this Applebees wasn't the same as others Ive been too. I came here with my husband at about 945pm on a Friday night. It was a little busy but we were seated in about 15 min. We sat down and ordered right away since we were there for 1/2 dollar apps. We ordered: Buffalo bites- they seemed old like the bites were sitting for awhile Chicken Nachos-there wasn't a lot of toppings the 1st time we got them. Then the 2nd time there were more nachos. I think its weird that every time we got food it was a different amount of toppings or nachos. Chicken quesidilla- it was one small quesadilla split into 4 triangles. I know its half dollar apps but I feel like the quantity and quality should not be skewed. Overall the service was okay, we had to hunt down our waitress for a refill of water, ranch and sour cream. The fries and wings were pretty good but I was full after one order and I asked if, instead of getting more wings and fries, I could have another cup of coleslaw. I went to Applebee's grill & bar on November 18th, 2024 at 323 Old York Road in Jenkintown, PA 19046 and it was the worst dining experience I ever had. I dined at the bar and Alexis was the bartender. I ordered the big bacon cheeseburger and it took over an hour which is despicable. They should have gave me the burger for free! I was just about to walk out when it arrived. It was undercooked and tasted terribly. The bartender was incapable of telling the kitchen how I wanted it cooked. Then I just wanted to leave and gave the bartender a $100 to pay for my bill. She didn't bring me change for about 30 minutes and then I asked what happened to my change? and she gave me an extreme attitude and rolled her eyes. To add insult to injury she gave my change in 1's and 5's and conveniently shorted me a dollar. I guess Applebee's doesn't give change anymore and they always round it off to their advantage. It was clearly horrible and despicable that I had to wait over an hour for a lousy burger and then be given an extreme attitude by some ignorant bartender. I will never dine at a Applebee's Grill & Bar again. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. Just a horrible, awful and terrible dining experience. I will be sending a formal complaint letter to Applebee's Grill & Bar corporate office. If I could leave a rating of no stars I would. There are better food establishments to frequent. Seriously, I just want to give props to the host, Mike. He remembers my bf and I every single time when we come in and seats us at our usual booth and he's the nicest employee that I've ever met at this location. He has made it much more comfortable for my bf and I than the other hosts have in which they looked as if they didn't want to be there and was leading us to our doom. Service certainly has not gotten better because even when we're seated, we wait for around 10-20 minutes for someone to actually show up and take our order even though we pressed our call server button. Food is still pretty mediocre. I think it was the firecracker shrimp cavatappi that threw me off the most. Supposedly it's spicy, but when I asked what seasoning they put in it, they said soy sauce. Very disappointed in our visit we only went because we had a gift certificate. The best part of the meal was the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. Food took longer then it should have and the restaurant was only a third full with no large parties. Service was below average and at one point thought the server forgot us.
