Walked in from the pouring rain to find six 6 Female employees standing at the hostess desk and two other parties waiting. 15 minute wait for a table that was already ready before I walked in because they couldn't stop talking long enough to seat customers. Manager walked up, looked at them, smirked and walked away. As an HR person, that irked me. Do I really want to eat here? Stay tuned Okay...I was pleasantly surprised. The food was prepared as desired. The fried shrimp have that grilled with a breading taste so I didn't care for that but my salmon was perfect. I had a great experience at another location (NJ), so I thought I'd give it another shot. I took my Grandson to the Jenkintown location, on a Sunday, and to my surprise, we were seated fairly quickly. I had looked up the location on Yelp, and was considering leaving, after I saw that it had 2 stars. I said it out loud(not on purpose), and before I knew it, my Grandson told the hostess that they only had 2 stars...I almost fell over! She assured him that she was going to make sure we had a 5 star experience, with her top notch server. I had the chicken wonton tacos before, so I ordered those and some mozzarella sticks, which my Grandson ordered a cheeseburger, with fries ,and a sundae. The marinara sauce was lacking in flavor, and cheeseburger was dry. Other than that, there was an unpleasant smell near our seating area. Went here with my dad for lunch and I'm highly disappointed. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and he got a Whiskey burger. The whiskey burger was over cooked and they put the wrong cheese on the burger. My chicken sandwich was so dry and rubbery it was too tough to eat. When I explained to the waiter the problem with his food he said that there's nothing that he could do and that the chef ran out of the cheese for the burger so his "hands are tied". When I requested to speak to the manager we both were ignored that it was time for the bill. We waited over 30 minutes to first make our order and now when we do the ordered was beyond messed up. Came here for dinner out of convenience despite the bad reviews. Food was average (3 stars), good price especially with the 2 entrees for $20/$25 deals. we ordered 3 medium rare sirloin steaks. 2 of them came out perfect. The third one was somewhat undercooked, and as a result, it was so hard to cut through. I would've asked them to recook it, but my dad was butchering the whole piece of steak, already, so..watever. Like some of the other reviews said, some of the food was salty, including the fries and the artichoke dip. Service was nice and pleasant. The waitress who took our order was very patient with us and our questions. What made me give them 4 stars was the fact that my sister left her phone on the table after we left. Opted for carside to go at this location yesterday. I ordered online at home then went to go pick it up. Firstly, it took 15 minutes longer than the estimated pick up time I was provided. Secondly, they forgot to pack two orders of garlic mashed potatoes. I'd understand if it was busy but there were only two tables when we walked in to pick up our food. Yea. This place is horrible. Went last night. Wings looked like they were sitting for awhile since the sauce on the wings hardened. Our food looked weird and the table was sticky and dirty. This is probably my fifth meal I ordered through the DoorDash. I'm really feeling disappointed. This meal I ordered from Applebee's was 1799. I received six shrimp an overcooked piece of breast chicken, and unseasoned potatoes. The only food in this dish that did have flavor was the onions and mushrooms. I went to this location with the hope that my daughter and her husband would enjoy a nice meal after driving various hours to come visit us since we have come here before, but boy were we wrong. The 30 minute wait actually turned into about 45 minutes and then we waited 30 - 35 minutes for someone to come to the table, but no one ever came. Servers and managers passed by and nothing. It was obvious we hadn't been served since we still had our menus on the table. I wouldn't have been so bothered and am typically patient, but I am diabetic and need to eat at specific times in order to avoid my sugar dropping. Not even a drink after over an hour at the establishment is just unacceptable. I have always enjoyed coming here, but after today I don't know if I could bring myself to come back. read more

This Applebees will probably close down for the following reasons: 1. Hostess will seat you when she finally realizes that you are there 2. Hostess will seat you according to how it conveniences the wait staff not according to needs if the party that they are seating. IF YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN YOU MAY BE SEATED AT A SEPARATE TABLE FROM THEM. NOT COOL. 3. You will not get your correct food order. 4. For some reason the cedar smoked salmon is not available as described on the menu, like it is at all other locations.On Two Separate Visits, salmon was not on a bed on spinach. So again staff is thinking of there own convenience instead of giving the customer what they are expecting and paying for. read more

Definitely had a bad experience as Applebee's has not or is not holding up to what we have experienced in earlier years ! The portions are very small and the service is left to be desired and the place is not clean. I took my family here yesterday In Jenkintown and first off the wait was ridiculously long as we viewed plenty of open seating .. we were told they were short staffed which is totally understandable but decided to wait. We were finally seated and ordered our food .. which took forever for one as we were told again and given apologies for the short staffing in the kitchen .. ok this was again frustrating but we remained. The Appetizers came out which were left to be desirable .. ordering the full version and got the mini version that come with the 3 or more .. the drinks we ordered were watered down .. someone needs to come check the bottles for water down top off .. but here's the kicker of all!!! .. I ordered the firecracker shrimp cavatappi which was very very cold and the fact that the portion and presentation was horrifying let alone it looked like someone ate some of the shrimp off the plate .. but the plate was absolutely filthy .. like did we look at the plate before the food was placed on it .. talk about calling the health department ! .. my daughter in law ordered a side order of fries because she was afraid to eat anything and they brought out a tiny baby plate and when asked about the size we were told that's what you ordered .. at this point I was livid .. asked to speak to the manager and waited for 20 minutes before he came to the table . We explained our concern quietly as to not disrupt the patrons for alarm .. and he just looked at his taking the plates away never apologized for the experience and definitely did not acknowledge the filthy plate my entree was served on .. we asked for the check and had no problem paying for the watered down drinks and the small appetizers remind you the baby cold fries that were never consumed .. our waiter Amir was excellent and remained great during the experience as he returned and asked if the manager came back which he did so another 20 minutes later with the check.. very very disappointed in you Applebee's .. I gave you a second try after I already had a bad experience at this location before and regret it ever so ! read more

Went here with my boyfriend. I got a salad. I couldn't even eat half of it-it was COATED with caesar dressing. This "chicken caesar salad" was supposed to have more toppings, but all it had on it was soggy croutons and some cold chicken. Oh, and there soda machine was broken..how does that happen? DON'T VISIT!!! I'm not a fan of Applebees but I came in for a special they were running. I had several margaritas and some appetizers. The last margarita I had came with a huge crack in the glass. I alerted the bartender (Robert) and he poured the drink into a new glass and gave it right back to me which is a HUGE safety violation as there could be broken glass in the drink. I left it on the bar, paid my bill and asked to speak to the manager. I alerted him about what had happened. He apologized and offered to give me a free appetizer. As he walked past the bar, the bartender said loudly, "What, they're trying to get something for free?" When the manager returned I thanked him but informed him did not need the coupon as I would not be returning to the establishment under any circumstances after that rude comment. He apologized again but I am appalled at the (lack of) service I received. Violating safety procedures and being overtly rude should NOT be acceptable anywhere. Never again!!! read more

Came in here on a Monday afternoon right as they opened for a quick bite. The place is in the Burlington Coat Factory/Acme Shopping Center with a few other stores. Me and my wife came in with our daughter for some lunch and ended up being there for quite a while due to the length of time it took for them to get our entrees. We ordered the steak quesadilla and won ton chicken tacos which were brought out promptly and were pretty good no complaints. The waiter was great keeping the refills of my Diet Pepsi in check and overall pleasant. The only thing that ruined the experience was the time it took for our entrees to come out. It literally took 25-45 minutes to bring out some sirloin steak and a friggin salad? Anyhow with the wait being so long the food was not bad, typical Applebee's standards. Maybe they got the order mixed up but was not pleased having to wait that long for our entrees. Will most likely not be back for there are a lot of better places to eat and as my wife would say "Once is Enough" read more

I've been to this Applee's before for their late-night specials. I usually sit at the bar, order a drink and get a few appetizers from their half-price menu. This time I had the boneless buffalo wings and spinach dip. The wings were great and you get a fair amount of them. I'm wasn't super fond of their spinach dip because I think it lacks flavor. I also had a perfect margarita which I love because it comes with the shaker. It's like two drinks for the price of one! I will always return to this Applebee's for their late-night specials. The half-priced appetizers are great and not half the size. If you're looking for a relaxed, quiet place to wind down this is a great spot. read more

Party of 13 came in on Halloween night looking forward to some half prize appetizers and drinks! The hostess greeted us by letting us know there were only 4 servers so it was going to take a while. We were finally seated as they arranged tables together to accommodate the group. Our waitress (I forgot her name, young lady maybe Ori?) was very patient and pleasant with all of us. We had young children with us and we all had drink and appetizer orders. She started off by taking our drink order and we asked for 9 of their $1 Vampire drinks! (They were worth $1! Tasted like grape soda)We did order 9 drinks but the bartender took a long time to make them (they were all the same). When we inquired about them the bartender was extremely slow and rude and was yelling comments towards our table as well as making comments to other customers sitting at the bar. Very unprofessional. The manager was in the vicinity and did not address the bartenders actions. We called the manager over only after our food took very long to come out as well and he claimed we were only waiting for 14 minutes when we had been sitting there for over an hour. The kids were falling asleep! Again understanding we were a large group, but don't dismiss the customers concern. Someone ordered a drink with Jameson and they received something that was NOT! When she complained about it the bartender again started making comments and yelling towards our table. Again no response from the manager! She received a second replacement drink and again it did not taste like Jameson. We sent it back. 2 stars 1-for the bill amount (very cheap for a large group) 1- for our waitress and the birthday ice cream for one of our party. Hope the bartender gets some customer service training and the manager appreciates this young waitress! Unbelievably bad experience! Please treat your customers better! read more

We were seated quickly and service was swift and moderately attentive. I ordered the Bourbon street chicken and it arrived about 3 minutes after ordering. Had a cool glob of herb butter on the top. I went to have dinner with my 83 year-old mother at 5:00. The restaurant was about half full. My mother requested a booth because she has a hard time sitting on hard chairs. We were told that there were no booths available. It was a shift change and the servers were not there yet. The hostess was not accommodating at all. That was the only seat available. We had to leave to find another place to eat. As we were leaving I saw about 6 wait staff hanging around the back of the bar talking. If you have any issues with needing a both to sit in, I wouldn't go to this Applebee's. The one on the Boulevard ( Route 1) and the one in Bensalem on Street Road are very accommodating. Luckily for us we found a restaurant right up the road (Bonnie Lane Restaurant) that was great. read more
