We sat for 15 minutes before a waitress even came over to us. Then she put in our drink order and I saw my Pepsi sitting up at the bar, but the bar man was nowhere to be seen. My husband had ordered a beer then he came out out of the back room talking and laughing with someone got the beer and put it up with the soda, but she was busy serving food to the people behind us and then they sent something back and we're still sitting there so now 20 minutes has gone by we don't even have a drink so we got up and left. I had a nice time here tonight watching the game. My server Dree was awesome. I'm glad that my experience was different from other reviews here because I was totally against dining here at first but Dree changed that. We were greeted upon entry and seated fairly quickly. I will say that all of the food did not make it out at the same time but everyone was pleased with their meal. I ordered appetizers and a drink and watched the game. Friday afternoon. Place was 1/3 full. We got seated on the far side of the dining room in a booth that had us out of view from everyone. 10 minutes later, employee walked by and asked was we being served. NO. She said I'll find your server. She came by a few minutes later. She took our drink order and we went ahead and ordered the all you can eat ribletts and shrimp. We had drinks 5 minutes later. 30 minutes later... still no food and we've been seated 35 minutes and they're not busy. Server came by and said our food would be up soon. We got up snd walked out. Last night, I made the colossal mistake of going to Applebee's on Zebulon Road in Macon. Walk in at :57 PM. By 9:10, our server Jayden finally wals over to take the order -- chicken with pasta,soup, salad, two beers. Fine. He drops the beers off and then... vanishes. Poof. I'm watching tables come in after us, eat, pay, and leave, while we're sat there like absolute mugs in a bad hostage drama. Forty-five bloody minutes later -- still no Jayden, no food. I finally wave down another server and ask for the manager. Suddenly, Jayden materializes out of thin air, holding our plates. And what's this? The chicken and pasta? Burnt to hell. So overcooked it's welded together into some unholy, blackened frisbee from Satan's own kitchen. I ask for the manager again at 10:15. Guess what? No manager. Not a single one. But sure, let's pay $15 for two beers -- best part of the meal, apparently. My wife tries to use the bathroom -- comes back in ten seconds flat and says, "It's disgusting." So we walk out. I take her to a gas station for a bathroom that's actually clean. Then we hit McDonald's across the street -- and they serve us better food in under five minutes. McDonald's! I had to problem with still having to wait on my food when i got there but for them to give me that cold old food should be against the law in this economy !!! my wonton taco shells was so hard and old they crumbled like potato chips! Not a person to leave rude/bad reviews, everyone has a rough time sometimes. But this place sucks. They didn't get our drink orders for 15 minutes, they gave us our appetizers 30 minutes after waiting, and 30 minutes after we finally got half of our food. Took them another 10 for the rest. If I could give this location a negative star I really would. We just left for my brother in-laws 28th birthday.it was ONLY 5 people. We drove over 3 hours from Dallas to celebrate his birthday and all he wanted was Applebees. We all ordered alcoholic beverages and appetizers. It took 25-30 minutes for our APPS to come. Mind you there's only like 10 people in the building as in quest. Then it took 10 mins to get our drinks and I even had to go up to the bar and grab my fiancés drink cause it was just sitting there at the bar and our server Ethan no where in sight. Then it took an additional 40 minutes for our food to come and it was HORRIBLE. We have two full time servers as quest so we know what that means. We could both tell that our food was sitting in the hot plate for a while cause our mash potatoes were literally crispy our food was so greasy and the oil you could tell had not been changed for a WHILE. Our server no where in sight again. I had to get the attention of a different server that was just on her phone along with the other servers. And I asked for our server and she said he will be right out then another 10 minutes and I asked for the manager when he came. I did appreciate that they comped the whole meal but we were fully prepared for a great meal and a very good tip ( as were servers so we get it) but this was a whole location problem. Servers with no sense of customer service. Cooks with no care for quality food that they push out. Like what the hell. I don't understand how this place is still open. Y'all either need to tear down the building and build something else. Or fire your whole staff and start over. Cause this is not okay. We're paying customers for a service. When we go out to eat we expect at least a decent experience. This was not even that. I don't think we will be eating at another Applebees again due to this experience. I'm usually not one to write reviews or be a "Karen" about service workers but this restaurant was just ridiculous. We were sat for about 15 minutes before we ASKED to for someone to take our drink order and then waited 30 mins for our appetizers and entrees to come at the same time. The food was good, but we were expecting the appetizer to come before the entrees. We saw our waitress only two times and that was when she was taking our drink orders. After we got our entrees, I asked for a thing of ranch and proceeded to wait another 15 minutes before finally getting up to ask for it again. All of this would've been fine if the place was busy but there were probably only 7 other families there. I feel for waitresses and such but the ones here were simply not doing their job, I felt like we asked the bare minimum (service-wise) and were deliberately ignored by our waiter. read more

Our party of three ate here today for lunch. We had the quesadilla burger, 2 for $32 steak and bourbon shrimp and chicken. We chose the mozzarella cheese sticks as our appetizer. We also got the margarita flight to sample and apple pie dessert. The host was friendly and found a nice table for us. Our waitress Shakira was friendly and helped us making our selections. She recommended the apple pie that was new to their menu. It was so good! She was very knowledgeable about the new menu items. Our food was perfectly prepared and we agreed that we have visited this Applebee's three times lately and each time we received great food and excellent service. We live in Forsyth and this restaurant is worth the short drive. Great food, great service, clean, and good drinks. Great value and a good time. Highly recommend this location. read more

There's a funny little story here as an interlude as our front-tire-blow-out-on-the-highway that's been pretty well documented. As a result, not only do we have to spend the night in Macon (en route to Atlanta), but we have to EAT there. You might say Applebee's a bit of 'the-devil-you-know' choice, since neither my wife nor I remember it as a blow-your-socks-off-great-dining, OR a 'never-go-back-there!' nightmare. The first 3 beverages we wanted, they didn't have (basically no draft beer other than Bud Light, or perhaps Blue Moon, and no wines that's, you know, shod (meaning, not 'Barefoot'). Otherwise, we found their menu interesting and reasonably-priced: $22 or $27 1.5 course dinner for two (you share the appetizer). We decided to try some chicken with shrimp thing and an 8-oz. top sirloin (the $27 option), and for appetizer, some boneless chicken wings. This is where the fun began. When the 'boneless wings' arrived (I think it was the parmesan something version), my wife discovered that, these weren't wings at all - they are unquestionably white meat pieces! When we asked our waitress, all she could offer was, "But they taste good, right?" Only upon checking with our kids (and other sources) were we schooled in this culinary fine point: boneless wings, in the resto world, are not wings! Whoever started this 'trend' or 'tradition' (of calling chicken nuggets 'boneless chicken wings') ought to be sent in exile to a cold, lifeless, land. My family came here May 8, 2025, for my Father's 80th Birthday. I called two days before, to let them know of the party of 20 for 7pm, and I called the day before, and the day of. The day of, I arrived 15 minutes early, it still took 30 minutes to be seated, and were not seated together. We finally got menus and placed our drink order. It only took about 20 minutes to get some drinks, the ones from the bar took about 30 minutes. My granddaughter was finished with her food by the time I got mine, and it was cold. My nephew got his appetizer when I got my food, his meal was made to go, since we were leaving when it finally came out. We were at this location for about 3 hours. The manager had an attitude when I said something about the service. My Father's birthday was not acknowledged. It took me almost 3 weeks to get resolution that was not good from the district. I am still waiting on an apology for the poor service and attitude when called out about it. Michael was the worst. Funny thing my Family has always used Applebees as a go to place for dinner, this one chosen because it was larger. Not one of us has been to any Applebees since, and we have been plenty of places to eat out, Applebees is no longer on the list. read more

Everything from the food to service was way off. I rarely write anything negative, but my server didn't check on us one time and the quesadilla burger wasn't made properly and took forever to arrive. I lived off of quesadilla burgers when I traveled for my medical sales career and it's always been amazing. This location has now messed it up 3 times. This time it just pissed me off because it was that nasty. Overcooked pattie, no southwest sauce (so it was dry) and no butter used to grill the tortilla, so it was crispy. We were heading to restroom, and the manager repeatedly called us and despite me responding immediately she continued to call out to the others ignoring my presence. After leaving the restroom and we got back to the car our order still wasn't ready. After waiting nearly an hour, we got our food only for our order to be incorrect. After returning inside to request some sauce we sat down to wait. Then the hostess proceeded to stare at us instead of asking us her question. Right before our sauces came out the manager returned and gave us a very dirty look while speaking to the hostess. When we left our mood changed drastically. I have been going to half apps for 6 years, and all through college, in three different cities, have always ordered the combo platter for half off. I was told tonight (after ordering the same thing for YEARS at several different locations) that this was not included in the half off menu and never has been. I literally ONLY go to Applebee's specifically during half apps for that specific combo platter. The manage was not helpful, and instead of trying to help or apologize just told me I was wrong and walked away. I actually give this place zero stars! Went in for a later dinner, after sitting for about 10 min we finally had a server come. Asked for decaf coffee and after another 10 min got what tasted like burnt coffee that had been in the pot all day. Another 10 min and the server comes back to take the order plus we ask to get us "fresh" coffee. Another 30 minutes goes by! No server no coffee no food. I flag down the manager who offers no help and is walking around on his cell phone. Waited another 10 minutes and nothing. Got up a walked out after sitting there for an hour with no food, no service and a manager that did not give a rats ass about helping his staff or the customers. The 2 tables in our row that were sat around the same time we were also got up and walked out as they too sat for over 30 minutes with no service. This place should be shut down as this is not the first time we have received bad service. Who ever is paying the staff there is wasting their money and must not read these reviews. Me and my wife are new to this side of town, and decided to try local applebees. It took 20 minutes to get first drink order (a simple bottle beer), then took 25 more for appetizer, which was wrong, then an additional 15 forna 2nd wrong drink order. The food finally came after almost an hour and a half, butnstill had no silverware. Finally manager corrected first drink order, and brought utensils.
