Me and the SO stopped in here on our way back South from a long weekend home. We came in a little after 1 pm, so the later lunch crowd was still eating. We sat in the bar area and it took forever to get waited on, take our order and then get our food. I was watching others around us getting alot quicker service. OMG grey potato chips and wing with weird black debris all over them. UGH I'd never eat here for sure. Drank my beer and bailed for home and hubby! If you've eaten at one Applesbee's you've eaten em all. Its decent food at a decent price but the menu constantly changes. The only thing that stays remotely the same is the appetizer menu. The spinach and artichoke dip is some of my favorite out there but as far as the other food goes.....I've had better. read more

So ate here when we got in... It's late nite, and after flying in from San Fran, and not finding (a-hem) any Asian places, Applebee's was the only familiar place us City kids knew... (Ok, we're not Kids, but hey we are from the City and we're Chinese, and we still look younger than we really are...) It's typical Applebee's food, but when we walked in, I think we were the only Asians there... And the minute we walked in and sat down, myself, my brother and our 2 cousins each pulled out our techie gadgets and either texting, checking-in, via yelp of course, or reading e-mails... I think we were being stared at... I mean, I guess we kinda stuck out like sore thumbs... Terrence the server was the best thing about the entire experience.... Ok and the crispy wonton tacos were good. My younger child got dry box Kraft macaroni and cheese, my pasta was dry and less than thrilling. My husband had fried shrimp and it was not seasoned and over cooked-- they fried it to death. Our older son had a dry sandwich. All in all it was much like every other Applebee's experience I've had and likely this will be our last. read more

Used to visit often after football games with friends for half priced appetizers. Stopped going after some time because even if the store was nearly empty, the servers were not good and the food was always cold. Once I was served cold mozzarella sticks and burnt spinach artichoke dip. Their drinks are good and the prices are good, but the food is terrible and the service is nothing special. read more

Walked in about 9 for half price apps and drinks. At time of post still waiting on food, dirty tables everywhere, 1 waiter working hard and manager not managing with some yelling from kitchen to get food. Sucks again!! read more

I have been here twice in one year the first time my boyfriend had order a burger that didn't taste so good he was sick after for a few days well last week we decided to give it another chance we'll we both order burgers and fries with mozzarella sticks as our appetizer both now just one bit both our burgers was cooked on the outside and very pink on the inside i wasn't going to say anything because I'm not one to make a big scene but my boyfriend told me to say something so I did when our waitress came to our table I told her that it was not her fault at all but to have the cook to make sure the burgers are being cooked properly I'm a waitress myself so I know it's not their fault she had them make me another burger witch I was thankful for and I still even tipped my waitress she done great at her job just the cook needs to make sure they are cooking the food properly because my boyfriend and I did come down sick from it I honestly don't think we will be going back to Applebee's in Marion ever again but the staff was amazing just not the food!!! read more

It's astounding to me that this place is packed all the time. The service is so beyond terrible. You would think if the place is busy the workers would pick up the tempo.... No. They seem to be there to socialize. The food is typically the same anywhere. But it seems even that needs attention. Will not ever go back. Where is the management here? read more

We showed up at 7:45 pm. Immediately sat. Restaurant was not busy. We sat for 30 min before I had to get up and find a server to take our order! Then, once placed, it took another 30 min to get my French onion soup which at the bottom had a nice gift of corn and a piece of chicken! Our food finally arrived 55 min AFTER it was put in the computer! Our ribs were cold, the mini cheeseburgers for my son were little dried up triangles, and my 11.99 steak salad was the size of a side salad. I will never come to this applebees again! We continue to eat here because there aren't many other choices. Every time we do there is a problem. Normally I order the Burbon Street steak. I order it medium and every single time it's well done. About half the time they comp it so I deal with it. When we order appetizers our food will without fail be at our table within 2 minutes. This place is a shit storm but it's our local shit storm so we deal with it. read more

Awful all around. Really slow service, despite being here at 11:30 on a Tuesday (took more than 30 minutes to get lunch) and they brought our two kids meals out more than 15 minutes apart from each other, which as anyone with kids knows is a recipe for mutiny. Then got one order wrong and couldn't correct it without another significant delay. Finally got rung up as $4 extra on the other order to substitute chicken for shrimp (with no prior warning) and they insisted it was correct. This was my worst experience at an Applebee's. My family and I had decided to go hiking and afterwards we wanted to go out to dinner. We settled on Applebee's. We were polite greeted and seated. The waitress was slow on bringing our drinks and asking us for our order. When we finally ordered we asked for appetizers to come first and then our meal. After about 35 minutes we got half our appetizers. We had to remind them that we had another appetizer, because we asked for the sampler. That came about 5 minutes later, but the pretzels were hard and burned. We then asked about our meal and the wait time and the manager said that it would be out shortly. After 10 minutes we received our food and after almost an hour of waiting we were just too annoyed to eat and we asked for to go boxes. That also took additional time and we were just miserable. It wasn't just our table, you could tell that it was just poorly ran and it seemed liked everybody hide back in the kitchen. Including the manager, which after we complained didn't even come out and apologize, the waitress did. She did offer us 5 dollars off our $80 meal that we didn't even eat. Please, save yourself valuable time and money. Just eat somewhere else. read more

I've been here twice in the two months. Both times the service was very slow. My son ordered ribs and after waiting for a half hour was then told that they were out of ribs and he should order something else. Then 15 minutes later the manager arrived and said that actually my son was getting the last order of ribs and then they would be out. The manager also said "They're cooked fresh for you". What does that mean? How are they usually cooked? The fries were lukewarm. On the plus side the waitress was attentive with drink refills and apologetic that everything took so long. read more

Have enjoyed it in the past but lately service is horrible. A lot of friendly smiles but little actual work. Things get served or not at all, many reminders are necessary. We recently ate at Applebee's in Farmington, Mo. It took us 30 mins to get our food. My ribtips were burned, dry & very tough. My granddaughter had mac & chicken & daughter got roast beef sandwich. It was all awful. The mac & cheese was dry & tasteless. . We liked Applebee's in Cape Girardeau often, & the food has always been good but now a little afraid of it now.. I feel I should be reimbursed for this garbage. read more
