Food was good. Service was just good enough. Ambiance was pretty average for a place its scale. Steak was tough to the point that I couldn't eat it. Heck, I could hardly cut it! Upon asking, they gave me another steak. It was much better. Lobster & baked potato were good. They had a maître D who came around and checked on us. Nice touch. Someone needs to either take over and fully revamp this place, or put it out of it's misery. We were escorted to our table by a person that I assumed was to be our server. (No hostess). Upon reaching our table, the floor around and under it was covered with trash. The surface was obviously wet and covered with crumbs. I told our escort that the table looked terrible and needed to be cleaned up. She informed me that it had just been wiped down and was clean. I told her that they appeared to have missed the solids and wiped up a pile of crumbs to demonstrate this. She seemed to take offense at this and ignored me, then just walked away. I soon learned why. It was not our server, but the bus person that was responsible for cleaning it up. The table was wet, sticky, greasy, and covered in solid waste, all at once. The server came and was pleasant, offering to have the table cleaned again, but I had already wiped it down with paper napkins and figured it was as good as it was going to get. I also didn't want it wet again while seated at it. The food was not really much better. The shrimp was overcooked and rubbery, the "loaded" baked potato had butter and a dollop of sour cream on it, just like Wendy's baked potato. The fries were half cold, as well as limp and soggy. The fried fish was much the same, greasy and cold. On the way out I ducked into the rest room to wash my hands, and it smelled like an outhouse. Fish n Chips are Awesome! Having grown up in New England, I've always loved the fish n chips you can get along the East Coast. But when I moved to the Midwest I quickly discovered that good seafood in general--and fish n chips in particular--was very hard to find. So! I'm happy to say that the classic Fish n Chips at Red Lobster is a great find. A BIG piece of fish, good coleslaw, and in my case, a garden salad (and this great BUTTERY biscuits) are a perfect Friday lunch. And they're the $2 off Friday Special, too. Perfect! Meals tasted great, seating was awful, barely any people yet they wanted to group everyone together, hostess sat 2 large customers both coughing, sneezing, sucking snot back into their throats making ungodly national geographic noises beside us. My friend went here and asked for a virgin drink and was given a drink with alcohol. For religious reasons he does not drink. When given the crushing realization that he was given his first taste of alcohol in 27 years and broke his religious covenant, he was told"I'm sure they'll understand". The waitress assumed no guilt and decided for the customer how they interpret their faith. I am an atheist but it is unacceptable behavior to make religious assumptions for someone else. This location can be very hit or miss...I will tell you my most recent visit was definitely a hit out of the park! I was promptly greeted when first walking through the door. The restaurant was very clean. I was taken to the table and immediately the server arrived and she was incredibly friendly and attentive the whole entire time. She brought out my drink and the biscuits quickly. The biscuits were perfectly golden brown and delicious. The appetizer was also delicious...it was a dip...I think it was called lobster dip?! Anyways, the dip was incredibly flavorful and came out piping hot. The entree was the Cajun Alfredo which also was very tasty. I definitely enjoyed my experience and will be back. And as always, Annie was wonderful...how lucky you are to have an employee as great as she is! read more

Yes, Red Lobster is Red Lobster. The food is the same and always will be at every single one, but the service is the best I've ever had at any of their locations. The staff is incredibly courteous and nice. The managers check up on you to make sure you were taken cared of promptly and they also greet you on the way out. Service with a smile! I love it! I love the Cheddar Bay biscuits, Raspberry lemonade, and red wine vinaigrette. Those are only things that Red Lobster has that no one else does. read more

My wife and I have not been in over 15 years. She was having some tests done in marion il so we, i decided to treat her before we headed home. Expectations were exactly were they were back then and they did not disappoint. From forgetting my steak completely to not cooking it correctly at all, then the lobster tails were so cold and tough I'd been better off eating straight from the tank. We got two biscuits when we got our salads but no matter how many times they told us they were in the oven they never showed before I was done eating. They claimed they got busy and were not expecting a crowd but I say BS since its endless shrimp until 6 PM. I and my family of 4 went to Marion IL Red Lobster this past Saturday. we ordered our food and appetizers and by the time our meal came I was full on the appetizers and biscuit. I took my meal home and heated it up the next day for supper. to my surprise the sirloin meal I bought for 19.99 was so bad. the fat and Grisel was so hard to bite through I gave it to our dog. I have never written a positive review on yelp. Our experience tonight was so nice I wanted to share though. I had ordered alaskan king crab and it was really good. one of the crab legs was still cold though so i asked if i could get a different one. the manager then came out and gave me literally like 2 lbs of extra crab and appologized profusely and even tried to take 20$ off my bill which I told her was just too much. she was really sweet and I was just overwhelmed by their service. definitely recommend. pic of all the extra crab they gave me... lol read more

Of course I've been to this chain many times and believe it or not I will rate each one.and each one has a big difference. This place was OK, but I think the portions are getting a little skimpy. The quality of the food has just been getting worse and worse. I remember the days when we used to get warm, soft rolls and huge plates of delicious combinations. However, every time I go back, I feel like there's not really one good thing I can say about it. The shrimp alfredo always has SOOOO much oil underneath it and sometimes I have to ask for a separate bowl to put my noodles in so it's not sitting in a puddle of fat. And trust me, it's not easy for a guy like me to make such a ridiculous request. The shrimp scampi's still one of my favorites, but like Ricardo K., I also feel like the portions are getting smaller... so I usually try to take advantage of the all-you-can-eat shrimpfest. I do feel like either the service is bad or they just treat younger people poorly because they feel like we don't know how to tip or something... The main things that stay basically the same are the salads and the clam chowder though, you can't go wrong with those. read more
