Some people should not be servers! Or work in hospitality. We got seated and our first server was named Dylan. Dylan gave us horrible service. Our appetizer showed up about 15-25 minutes before our drinks did. When our appetizers showed up, we were not given appetizer plates nor napkins and utensils. We then noticed people that were seated way after us already had their drinks plus main meal. My husband had to send back the Mai tai we ordered. It did not taste like on how a Mai tai should taste. Worst Mai tai I have ever tasted!! I ordered the golden goose, it was really good!! After, the send back. Sitting with no utensils. We watched our server spend a lot of time in the back kitchen area not checking on tables. Walking past us, not checking in at all. I then went to the bar requesting to speak to a manager. A manager was presented, that is when we requested servers. Our second server, was named Tatyana. She was awesome!!! She continuously checked in on us! When server changed, Dylan did talk to Tatyana out loud with some very unnecessary commentary in regard to the switch. Terrible. I threw up 6 times because of the food and how I know it was Applebees was because the only thing that was in my throw up was the chicken tenders I ordered. There was no water or anything it was just the chicken tenders in my throw up and as soon as I ate literally just ONE chicken tender it sent me to the bathroom. Applebee's: your local neighborhood bar! I've always had a good time at this Applebee's, whether it be alone or with a group of family/friends! I usually sit at the high chairs in the bar area. This last time that I went was for a late birthday dinner with my sister on a Monday night. We received really good service. The server was such a sweetheart! We ordered two margaritas and got those quickly. The thing I enjoy most about Applebee's is the value menu: you and someone else can each get an entree and a side to split for great prices. I got the Blackened Cajun Salmon as my entree and my sister got the Baby Back Ribs. I really enjoyed my salmon but thought my sister's ribs were too saucy (but just a personal preference). We also got the chicken tenders which were decent that night. I also usually get the Chicken Alfredo, and that has never let me down. If you want to control the music and the vibes, there's also an app you can download called TouchTunes. Basically like a mobile jukebox that you can pay a dollar or two to play a song of your choice. Comes in handy when the vibe needs a little bit of tweaking or if you wanna tailor the vibe to your party. I don't like to go to Applebee's on a busy night: there are just way better options elsewhere, especially if you have to wait. However, coming on a weeknight was a hit! This place used to be so fun. I guess I haven't been here in awhile. I came for happy hour on a Wednesday and found the place to be so sad. It is filled with old people, the servers are also quiet older. The tables and chairs are dirty and old. Our server was nice but definitely lack in service. She didn't any of our empty plates away until I asked for the check. I even stacked the empty plates for her. During her shift she was talking with other employees, two tables down from us. One of them was counting a wad of cash as they conversed away. We had ordered Bluemoons because that was the special for that day. However, we were charged full price. She said it was because those were only for the pints....well shit, if we are ordering happy hour drinks, why aren't you giving us the happy hour special??! Why would you bring us something else at full price? Maybe that was our fault for not asking, just assuming a good waitress would tell us. The employees were in the restroom just chatting away. It was weird because the entire we where there, the employees were just hanging out and talking, whether in the restrooms or at the tables. We've chatted about this place before, but every time we go, we enjoy it more. This time we had had our usual: the Oriental Chicken Salad, and something new, the Southwest Chicken Bowl. Both were very good, fresh, tasty, and enough food to take home leftovers for tomorrow! We also ordered a couple of the Brownie Bites for dessert. Incredible! And at a buck a piece, you can't go wrong! Our server was Eric, and he was on his game! Everything was fast, accurate and tasty, and the price was more than reasonable! This is what im basing the rating off of: DoorDash Orders: 1 Star Dining In Food Quality: 4 Stars Timeliness: 2 Stars Staffing: 1 Star (5 Stars for Adrian) DoorDash Orders/Timeliness/Staffing: Me and my friend go in Saturday night at around 9:10 to pick up a DoorDash order that we needed to deliver. There's an employee on his break named Adrian who's on his break outside, but still welcomes us in. Which I thought was nice, because when im on my break at work, I am invisible lmao. I don't see ANYONE lmao. We get to the front of the restaurant (which is just right when you enter) and there's 2 registers, but not a single employee or staff member. Over a span of 15 minutes, no one comes to the front, but at least 2 employees who are in the back by the bar, and by the kitchen have given me and my friend eye contact already. So it's troubling because DoorDash is saying the order is ready for pickup! So now the customer is thinking he's not getting his food on time. My friend goes outside and asks the person on break "where we pick up the DoorDash at because there is no one there" Adrian is so nice because he literally gets off his break JUST TO HELP US. That was so nice of him! So he goes to the back and tells them, and then he notifies us that he let them know. Like around 9:33, an employee who just came out of the kitchen wearing all black comes out and asks who the name was for the delivery, my friend let her know the name. She then asked him 2 more times what the name was because I guess she couldn't hear him, but to me the tone kind of came across as rude. But maybe it was just because I was upset with the waiting time. They finally bring the food out at 943 I believe, and then we leave. The food said it was ready for pick up at like 925, but we didn't get it until 9:43. So that was this issue with DoorDash orders and why I give it one star. I do give timeliness 2-3 stars though because I did have a great waitress when I dined in and went on a double date with my friend. She always kept our drinks filled and checked on us. I first started with a shrimp, and my husband had the boneless chicken wings. For refills. I had the barbecue riblets, and my husband had sweet Asian. My favorite was the riblets Barbecue. After not going to Applebee's for quite some time, I ended up going twice in a matter of a week. (So funny) Anyhow first trip was awesome, Joe was the server and he was AMAZING! He was attentive to our needs and keep the tablet working for the kid and the drinks filled for the table. The food was good. I ordered the all you can eat deal (chicken wings, crispy shrimp, and riblets) bummer the riblets were sold out. The chicken was great. The shrimp was crispy. Happy trip. The second time, we had a bigger group with us and we were sat pretty quickly. I don't recall the server that time but I was distracted. She did a fantastic job getting our food out. We ordered a shark bite drink, it came without the shark and she went and tracked one down. She was quick to find our items when it took maybe longer than it should have. Both times we went it was for dinner. The restaurant was hustling and bustling but the vibe was happy and relaxed. While there was a wait, it moved quickly. Now I understand why this place has such low rating....we went here on a Friday night FOR DESSERTS only. We were told it will be a 20-30mins wait. What's funny is that there's A LOT of empty tables. When I asked why the wait when there's a lot of empty tables. The host said that they don't have enough staff per area to manage the tables. I think they need to hire more and make sure they have enough staff from Friday to Sunday when more people are wanting to eat out. We waited at least 30 mins before getting seated. Our server Eric went above and beyond to help my family out fulfilling all our requests while not complaining a single time and even went out of his way to get a manger to fix our small problem of most of our tables food coming out some time before the rest.
