Went to the Central Station with a large party. They only had one server so everything was slow. The server did a heck of a job and I don't know why they only had her working the group. There had to be upwards of sixty people. I had the Cobb Salad and it was good. Lots of goodies and plenty of blue cheese dressing. The grilled chicken was cooked perfectly. I have been to this place twice. First time, I ordered the "Take Em to the Station" Burger. Surprisingly, the burger was quite good. I would order that burger again. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, the service was VERY slow. Luckily I was not in a rush. After my first experience and a few weeks later, I decided to go here for a steak dinner. I figured service would be slow, but I didn't care. I wanted good food. The burger was good the last time I was here, so I figured the steak couldn't be bad. WRONG. Ordered the Prime ribeye ($36). The ribeye quality was poor. If i had to guess, it was not prime but was more like a low quality choice steak. It was chewy. There was a big chunk of fat and it felt grisly. Honestly - if I had to guess what cut of steak it was, I would have said it was a "choice cut of chuck." (Note: I am not accusing them that it was a chuck steak, but felt like I was eating a chuck steak.) Then for dessert, I ordered the creme brulee cheese cake to go. I rarely order dessert, but I love both creme brulee and cheese cake. Back in my hotel, I opened up the desert and was disappointed. It was basically a cheese cake there they had a THICK hard caramelized sugar on top. I guess it was the caramelized sugar that mad them call it creme brulee. You couldn't eat the sugar because it was HARD. Disappointed in the dessert. I would go back there for the same burger. However, I don't think I would ever order anything else from this place. If I had to rate this restaurant, I would have given it a 4 on my first visit but a 1 on my second visit. read more

What a fun restaurant inside of a retired train! My 3 year old son saw it from the outside and asked for us to travel 2 hours round trip to eat inside the restaurant. We made the trip, and glad we did. The wings were juicy and crunchy and crispy. Tried this place for lunch and it was well worth it. Place is clean open and also have outdoor seating. Full bar with enough TVs around to watch some games. Service was great and food came in hot. We had the Calamari Sticks that came with a ranch sauce and a spicy homemade sauce that was good. The wife had the Station Club and I had the Central Station Hamburger both meals were very good. Some of the be at wings I've had! The wings were definitely the highlight of the meal. They were really juicy, perfectly seasoned, and crispy. The sauce could have been spicier, but that is just a preference thing. The cauliflower bites were just okay, I wish they had some sauce on them. I've been wanting to check this spot out for a while, and we finally got the chance to. Every once in a while I get a craving for a burger, found this spot and the pictures looked better than a few other nearby options. We came on a Thursday afternoon, there were about 10 other customers there and one bartender taking care of the place. There's a decent amount of seating, the restaurant is about half and half on restaurant and bar seating areas. We sat at one of the tables at the bar, ordered micheladas and burgers, the burgers definitely hit the spot. I got the one with bacon and pickled onions on it, forgot which name it was on the menu, but it was perfect. The micheladas could have been a tad better. Bartender /waitress was nice and quick to get us menus and drinks. There's a train running along the ceiling but it wasn't on when we were there, would have been kind of cool to see. read more

I came across Central Station and decided to stop in for a late lunch/early dinner. Upon entry, we were greeted warmly and asked if we preferred seating in the bar area or the dining room. Since it wasn't very crowded, we chose the dining room. When I asked what they were known for, the staff recommended the meatball sandwich, fish and chips, and shrimp tacos. I decided to try the fish and chips, and I wasn't disappointed. The fish was fresh, battered to order, and served piping hot. The dish came with three fish fillets, hand-cut fries, coleslaw, lemon slices, and tartar sauce. I'm not usually a fan of tartar sauce, but theirs was excellent--there seemed to be a hint of lemon in it that really elevated the flavor. Everything was fantastic. The coleslaw was a little dry for my taste but still had good flavor overall. Several other items on the menu looked great, and I'll definitely stop by again the next time I'm in town! read more

What you would expect for "bar & grill" type of food. Meats. Burgers. What I liked was that the place was bright and it seemed pretty family -friendly. Great food and excellent service! Our GO TO place when we want to unwind on a Friday. Onion rings were SUPER crispy and the Sliders were moist and savory. Simple, yet delicious! We also love splitting the Club Sandwich when we don't want to eat too heavy. I highly recommend the Garlic Fries, if you like garlic- which we love! Lots of garlicky goodness! Went to eat here around 730 on a Thursday night with my partner and was disappointed with my service and the food that I ordered. It was a slow night, there was not very many people inside. We were given our food and we had no napkins nor silverware and our appetizer never arrived. Our server blamed the cook for the appetizer never making it out. The Server did make an effort and asked if we wanted silverware after we were done eating. We asked for Cajun style fries the cook must of only hit the seasoning on one side of the plate. And the nachos you could tell they through it in the microwave before being brought out...the plate was super hot and the meat looked dried out. The place is in a good location. We got seated very quickly. There are four of us. Server took our drink order and got them wrong when delivered. We then ordered appetizer. That came out fairly quick. We all then ordered our main meals. Main course, I asked for a ribeye steak medium rare and a salad blue cheese with crumbles. Rest of the group ordered their food and off the server went. What? I did notice that he did not have a notepad to take notes of what our orders were. Just going off of memory which is okay. Most people do that very well. However, my poor Ribeye steak came back well cooked!!!!! Server also forgot to bring my salad prior to eating my meal which I'm reminded him big delay so I told him to cancel it. I already had my main course. Service would have been good overall had he not messed a couple items and the cook over cooking my $45 dollar ribeye. Overall it was disappointing to not have a pleasant dinner without the errors. That could have been prevented, basically my Sunday dinner was a very disappointing evening. Manager was very receptive to my feedback and took my advice for his bartender and servers to please carry a note pad to prevent future disappointments. I keep coming here trying to give it another chance and every time it disappoints me. Tonight we ordered a glass of wine and a beer (the wine was $5 per glass which felt like a steal for what I ordered) but there was sand or some sort of shiny granules at the bottom of my glass. We ordered the crab cakes, which I can only describe as a from-the-freezer fish stick but patty shaped, and to top it off I witnessed the bartenders daughter(?) come in, say she needed to spit her gum out and the bartender (her mom?) said, and I quote, "just put it in my hand" the bartender then proceeded to ring in like two orders with chewed gum in her palm, then toss it into the trashcan. For the next 20 minutes while we waited for our food (it took approximately 30 from when we ordered to get our "crab cakes") I watched to see that she would wash her hand and she didn't. It was just business as usual. I really genuinely wanted to like this place, but everytime I have been, it's been a disappointment, tonight being the last straw. read more

My son and I went to lunch here while I am visiting from Hawaii. The service was good and it's a great atmosphere. We were promptly seated on a train car and that was really interesting. It is right next to the Santa Fe railroad tracks so you hear and feel trains going past. Really nice menu with lots of delicious sounding options. Giving 3 stars because our waitress was nice and checked on us. My daughter ordered the kids sliders, my other daughter got the clam chowder in a bread bowl and I got the French toast. Kids sliders came with cheese and ketchup and twister fries. My daughter liked them and the burgers were super cute. The clam chowder was much better than when he went went this location was 10 east. The bread bowl was soft and the chowder was creamy, but was just a ok chowder over all. My French toast listed it came with choice of bacon or sausage and 2 eggs. I opted for bacon and 2 eggs over medium. When my plate arrived, I could tell the eggs were over cooked immediately, cut into them and asked the waitress if they could be remade because they weren't runny at all. She was quick to get it taken care of and my over medium eggs arrived really fast. The plate came with syrup, but no butter. The receipt showed a $3 upcharge for the bacon, making my meal $18.99 instead of the menu price of $15.99 that says choice of bacon or sausage. Not sure why there would be an upcharge... Came here during a work trip. Got in really late so they were pretty empty. It has a typical sports bar vibe. The server was very friendly and didn't get annoyed that we were keeping him.
