The Tarmac is an amazing brewery. Over the years it has had amazing events, drinks and vibes. Did I forget to mention a variety of food trucks. It's the spot to be if like good vibes. Their service is very slow and unprofessional. Like it's embarrassing how long it takes to get a beer or a cocktail. They might be more successful with providing better service and quicker if the beer tap area had lights so the 2 ladies a see. The tarmac not only has beer, but really good cocktails too. They have no security to check ids. I'm sure they serve miners. Cause they don't ID at all. The Tarmac Owner Steve really should hold his staff accountable for being slow and unprofessional, and actually very aggressive and argumentative when customers wait 30mins for a beer. The guy at the register was literally waving his hands and voice to customer asks for polite and more professional service. I really suggest some bar lights and more professionalism this might be to much of an expectation, so I encourage everyone to come to the tarmac and and enjoy good food, cold beer, chill vibes and below average service in my opinion today read more

A nice set up. Lots of seating. Very nice vibe. Had a delicious, I believe, a tangerine cider. It was Delish! I didn't know I was a fan of cider. It wasn't tart. Went down smooth. The so called curly haired manager, was more concerned with having our group move over one foot to an another kiosk In case he had more customers. A great place to have an event. Two weeks ago we had a family birthday for 70 year-old mother-in-law who was so happy to be acknowledged and have such a lovely time . The employees are friendly and helpful. The food trucks have great food. Was visiting family in Central California and went to The Tarmac for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The variety of food from the trucks outside was real good and the selections were real tasty. The vibe from the staff and patrons was awesome. Felt like hangout with neighbors. The beers were great, but the Mocha ( or chocolate) Martini took the prize at lunch. We had our 50th reunion Friday night get together here and it was such a fun venue. Plenty of space to socialize, drinks and food were good and they allow dogs! Parking was a bit hard to find but that didn't detract from the experience at all. read more

Nice location with lots of seating indoor and out. This place is great, but the Oakland dust food truck that parks here Fri and Sat. Night is what brings us here from 50+ miles away to eat! This BBQ is amazing! Average meal cost is $15 per person. The brisket nachos are heavenly and the jaw dropper (brisket with mac n cheese sandwich) as well as the pork Mac n cheese are a must have. That being said you can't go wrong with anything they make here!! Definitely worth the drive and a regular visit. The wife & I came here tonight for the comedy show. The show was good. We enjoyed the activities available before the show, and the comedy was of the pro comic level, but obviously not Mark Normand levels, but what do your expect for $10 tix? THE COMEDY SHOW: More entertaining, and cheaper than a movie. The environment was very casual. There was so much space, a person could choose lawn chairs 0-20' cocktail tables and lounge chairs 30' from stage to 75 yds away in beer gardens. THE VENUE: Under appreciated: The private venue area was a great evening for the Rudy Ortiz comedy show. Super close and involved, or right up front was a choice. I'm a big fan of Tarmac! Has become my local hangout. The staff here rock! Everyone is super professional and very friendly. There's a farmer's market out back on Thursdays and sometimes bands on Fridays. Fridays are super fun and busy. Great dj as well with a small dance floor. Since there are food trucks, you can pretty much eat your dinner here and chill the rest of the night. Tarmac is also kid and dog friendly with lots of area outside to sit. There is a wine bar and other beer bars in back as well. Sports are playing on the multiple TV's so you're able to keep up with sports events easily here. I tried the vanilla bean stout which was good!! They had two food trucks outside that served hot wings & pulled pork sandwiches. The food trucks were moderate. They have heated lamps outside with a lot of seating. Inside was pretty crowded so seating was limited but it was mainly due to being busy. Prices are pretty reasonable. Its decent for Atwater. I would have given a 5 stars rating, BUT I didn't appreciate how this particular worker was choosing and picking who to card. My friends and I were already served, so we went back for a second round of delicious brews. This particular worker only carded my group of friends. I watched The same worker not Card any others before or after us. If you're going to Card a group (of Hispanic and Asian descent), then make sure you Card everyone else each time others go back for more rounds. Never had this kind of experience there before, so it was very odd to have experienced it at the Tarmac last night. After experiencing that, we finished our second brews and left to another venue. The atmosphere is usually such a great vibe! I come here often and would bring friends or meet friends here for the variety of food trucks and the great brews. But last night just wasn't it--due to a particular female (light haired) worker from last night. Worst customer service tonight. Whoever the two girls working at the bar tonight at the Tarmac. While working, they were drinking on the job. Please talk to your workers and train them better. They have poor customer service as they were accusing my group for littering, when the cup fell and we simply picked it up. She aggressively came towards us and confront us. She she noticed that we did not litter, she walked away without apologizing. The other sever at the bar then decided to curse at the customer using the "F" word. Went to their grand opening. Looks like it will be a really great and nice place when weather is nice and not so cold. It was mostly outdoors. Not sure how they're going to keep it cool when it's a 100ﾟ. Was disappointed because I don't drink bear I think they should at least have one wine or 1 white and 1 red wine for people who don't drink beer. They have the cider which is still like beer to me. We were so excited to seee a new and fun place open up in Atwater and love that it is so family friendly. There are games (jenga etc) and lots of seating outside (with heat lamps and and lights) and when we were leaving last night they were setting up for live music. We loved the beers we tried and it was fun to run into families we know (and haven't seen in a long time). Also it is great to see new businesses bring new lIfe to Castle AFB. Today was our first time dropping by The Tarmac and I have nothing but great things to say about Blaker Brewing. We picked up a few 4-packs of Hazy Babies, Hidden Lotus, and Siege of the Stoners. Not only was the beer delicious, but the beertender went out of their way to deliver my ID that I had dropped somewhere at The Tarmac with no hesitation. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THAT, you have no idea how much I appreciate this gesture, we are eternally grateful. Our friends that we shared beer with also loved our choices, so we will be back again to enjoy these delicious beers on tap.
