Hadn't been to an Applebees in a long time due to a decline in quality. We decided to give it a try after many years. Clean establishment and friendly staff. Our waitress was Ashley and she as very attentive. Drinks never went dry. Food was served promptly and portions were of good size. Wife had the grilled cheese cheeseburger and thought it was excellent. The seasoned fries were a tad over seasoned but still good. (-1). My chicken Parmesan was very good. Nice size portion. The bed stick was surprisingly excellent. We shared the Apple pie dessert with vanilla ice cream. Great flavor and would get again. Overall a nice dinner. This location doesn't have a great ratings history so I'm hoping this is the "new" norm because they did really well. We really enjoyed and recommend you give it a try too. read more

Sheesh! It's bad enough when the stores don't have what you want. I was craving a decent steak, and a baked potato. And, knowing that most restaurants don't serve baked potato until after 5:00P.M., I wait Ed until a few minutes after 5 to place my order. Well, I had ordered a 8 oz Top Sirloin steak, medium, garlicky green beans, and a baked potato. Unfortunately, the baked potatoes weren't ready yet (despite my order not being picked up, until about 5:40). :-( So, I got french fries instead. The steak was pretty tasty. Honestly not one to sit and complain, first off we were seated in a timely manner even with our larger party , but once our actual waitress arrived it all went downhill , their was certainly some attitude but we all did place our drink orders and received them in a timely manner but as far as our appetizers and actual meals , they took well over an hour to come , every single appetizer that was order came out cold. Not to mention the " endless tenders and fries " was unfortunately very endless do to the fact that they " ran out of fries " and the chicken was oily and had the sole consistency of rubber , now with that being said they did drop one of the orders but for the one to go order that was placed they simply couldn't fulfill it do to not having any fries , which wasn't an issue but they would not accommodate in anyway to substitute it other then mash potatoes, with that all being said something with the service and the server to customer satisfaction could certainly be worked on and the word endless is certainly a stretch to what was offered read more

Took my little cousin here for his birthday. Food and service was decent. The waitress did give him a free drink so that was cool and nice. I feel like the food here is not extraordinary like it could be bought at a grocery store and heated up in a microwave. The main allure may be the fact that it is a restaurant to hang out at. We are new in town and stop at APPLEBEE'S GRILL started with BEEF NACHOS-delicious! Then it turns out to be a terrible experience for my husband and I! Husband ordered the Western Burger sub impossible meat, I ordered soup and salad. The server brings out the soup and salad right away and I thought my husband burger was coming anytime now, waited, waited and waited like 35 minutes and still no burger. Husband had to go find the burger and they lied and said it was burned when clearly sitting in the window they had to start over! Needless to say we canceled and the manager brings a check and still had the SOUP AND SALAD ON THERE which was never touched! Our server, London did a great job but 1) the medium rare steaks we ordered were actually well done and 2) the crispy fries/welldone fries we ordered were not crispy or well done. Applebee's as a company as a whole has really just gone downhill. There's a reason it's called Crapplebee's. I mean you have them now advertising food (stuff) on television that makes the Olive Garden look good; something like order a steak topped with cheese sticks and covered in stewed tomatoes type of deal. Come on Applebee's get back to the basics of serving good American food like salads, steaks, burgers, etc and not try to bring it all together in one dish. You might just be too far gone to be saved as it is. The last visit to this Applebee's location we ordered a burger and a bourbon street steak. The burger was ok, but not too great and was served with cold fries. The steak was suppose to be medium rare, but come out a with a dark well done center. Service was good; we only had soda so we didn't have any drinks this visit. The server took good care of refilling our drinks, and it's our fault we didn't complain about the food; but I never ever send food back. read more

French onion soup was half cheese, mashed potatoes were cold, broccoli serving was extremely small. My wife's tomato basil soup was just like others described, mostly croutons and cheese. The menu is 1 page, nothing like what Applebee's used to be. On the positive side, the room temperature was comfortable and not overly cold as many food establishments today. Also good atmosphere for conversation, no overly loud music. But without good food selection and good tasting food, it is easy to eliminate this restaurant in the future. Was there after the lunch rush with my date. About 5 tables had customers. I got the all you can eat riblets and the wife got the tortilla chicken soup and the chicken fajita wrap. The soup nor the wrap were finished, just kind of blah. The riblets started out ok but the more orders that came the more burnt and less sauce they had. Drinks mostly stayed filled but sweet tea was given instead of Unsweet on a refill and lemonade was brought in place of Mt Dew on another. Both were promptly corrected but with the lack of customers at the time shouldn't have happened. Friendly service by the hostess and our waiter but the food and mistakes were not overcome by the staff. Won't be back. Been to many better Applebee's but this one is subpar. read more

The waitress was very rude about removing the appetizers from my order when she never brought it out in the first place. She literally threw the plates at us after upseting the table behind us. I was in Applebee's the Milledgeville GA location on 20 July around 4:45. There were around 6 tables total that were seated. We were greeted by the hostess and sat. After waiting for 12 minutes we pretty much decided that we were not going to receive service. Even though 3 different employees had passed our table it apparently was too much for whoever our actual server was to stop and provide us service. Through High school and college I worked for Applebee's and we had strict time requirements as far as greeting, Drinks and meal delivery times. It's sad to see another chain store become managed into the dump. I should've listened and paid attention to the previous reviews that gave them a 1.5. I guess it's typical Applebee's, but my mashed potatoes were cold and I had to return them. My tomato basil soup was two spoonfuls with more croutons then it had soup and it had cheese, which I have never really had in tomato basil soup. The silverware was dirty and we had to return that. I usually don't complain when I visit a place if business when things go poorly. However, so many things didn't go well tonight. I think I need to speak. We were greeted well, but had to wait for a table by the door to be bussed. This would have fine, if the Resturant hadn't been less than 30% full -- leaving many clean empty tables not in the door... Our sever was cheerful, got our drinks quickly--but was blunt that only Pepsi & Diet Pepsi were options when asked for coke products. Our appetizers arrived--but we had received no tableware and I had to ask twice to get plates to eat them on. They had cooled considerably by the time we got the plates. Our food took awhile. It arrived on very hot plates--but the food was barely above room temp. The baked potatoes were not hot and the steamed broccoli was room temp--and not tasty. The rib-lets were not good. My order came with the broccoli on the same plate as my steak & potato -- I had been very clear I wanted it plated separately to share with another family member. Not to mention I hate broccoli and the juice on my other food. The server took it back and had it re-plated. I'm sure it was the same food just wiped/rinsed off. My receipt giving me an opportunity to complete a survey was not returned to me after paying my bill. I paid with a $100 bill on a $60.94 bill. I got 2 -- $20s as change. Girls night out and it was 4 of us, they took our order twice still took 30 minutes for appetizers. We received our plates 15 or 20 minutes apart and I never received my food after 45 minutes so we decided to leave and go to Chilli's where the service was excellent. Never again!!! read more

Hands Down the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life. Our waitresses name was Irish but we did not get lucky with her service. She was absolutely horrendous. First off, we waited on the drinks we ordered for way too long and had to ask her again and again. Then, don't even get us started on the checks. She wasted an hour of my life that I will never get back because of her absolute retardation. She brought us our checks and every single one was incorrect. My check had two meals on it and I had only got one meal. So after the first round of bad checks. She brought us all new checks and they were still incorrect. So after she finally got all the check right after 3 try's, she decided to only take one check at a time. The first card took her 20 minutes just to swipe and then she came back only to find out she couldn't even figure how to swipe a card. So then we decided to make it easier for her by having one check. At this point we are more than fed up with this Irish girl who is obviously incapable of communication and ability let alone being a waitress. I ordered their new Four-Cheese Grille sandwich which was plainly stated on the menu as, "Served with a bowl of tomato basil soup." What I received with my meal (after a forty-five minute wait) was a tiny cup of soup that was no bigger than what my grandmother had received her salad dressing in. After asking the waitress if this was the correct portion of soup, we were presented with a frowning manager who proceeded to slap a bowl of tomato basil soup onto the table with zero apology. Only a question of, "Anything else?" The soup was okay at best. The sandwich had little to no cheese in it at all. We were never offered refills on our waters or my coffee, even after setting the glasses near the end of the table where the waitress could see. My grandmother says her mashed potatoes were absolutely terrible. My sister tasted them as well and fully agreed, declaring there was a taste of too much ranch dressing in them. The salad was hardly worth mentioning. We sat at the table afterwards for another good twenty minutes before the waitress even offered us our ticket. DANGER Went with my wife and we got the combo appetizer with the spinach and artichoke dip. Burned the roof of my mouth so bad I had blister a second degree burn. Asked for ice water waiter with no one to wit on went to get a water for me no he just went to tell the other waitress. After watching him lap the bar. I went to the bar to get ice for the roof of my mouth. The large manager he had no concern or compassion. I got my own glass of water as my waitress was coming out of the kitchen I took one of the three glasses as my mouth had already blistered.
