Customer service could use some improvement. After having a full 16 ounce of sweet tea poured on me, I thought I'd get reasonable compensation. In the midst of a conversation with the owner everything went south. No pun intended. The owner called the Sheriff. I have to say I have never heard of this. Service & food were both AMAZING! From the moment we walked in the door - we were greeted by very friendly staff. Our waitress was excellent and the food was SO GOOD! Taco Tuesday! Not what I have come to expect from Mexican restaurants in Georgia. On the billboard at the entrance it says: "Taco Tuesday" hard tacos $1.25, soft tacos $1.50 grilled tacos $2 ----------- So I proceeded to order one grilled steak taco and one al pastor taco. Expecting to pay $4 for lunch I was hit with an $8 check. I challenged the waitress who said she forgot it was taco Tuesday and adjusted the bill to $6 Why? Because pork isn't included in the special and the pineapple is an extra $1 so I paid $4 for one al pastor taco which would have been $2 at any other Mexican restaurant I've been to. I will not be going back and do not reccomend. The steak was extremely over done and dried out the al pastor was good but with the price. read more

A great non fast food option on our road trip. The service was prompt, thorough and friendly. I ordered the fajita taco salad with chicken. The portion size was not giant, which just right for me. My husband ordered a combination meal, which they offered for him substitute meat options if desired. The portion size for his meal was larger. Both meals were quite good. There were two large tv's displaying sports with the volume turned down, while music played at a comfortable level. The overall restaurant appeared to be quite clean. If we are ready for a meal the next time passing through this part of the state, we will be glad to come back to this place. read more

Hmmm. My litmus test for Mexican restaurants is their chili rellenos - poblano chile stuffed with white cheese, dipped in egg, deep fried and smothered with sauce. I'm sure a few of you have the same test and describe the dish the same way. Am I right? Here at Pepe's this dish is a ground beef/cheese mixture with a few pieces of bell pepper - more like a dip. This was our first time at this restaurant. We sat at the bar. It looks like there is a separate restaurant area. The food was great! We had an appetizer of guacamole. It was good. We ordered steak and chicken fajitas for two. It was excellent. We both had the Texas margaritas. They were very good. Prices were very reasonable. The bartender was really good. She was working really hard. The bus boys were really slow about cleaning up. There were dirty dishes all over the bar when we got there. The bartender ended up clearing a space for us. Eventually they cleared the plates but still didn't wipe down the area. It just added work to the bartender but she did a good job keeping up. It was a Thursday night (busy) and she was keeping up but if it was more crowded she would need help read more
