The food is what you expect, but the service was terrible. While it was a Friday evening, about 1/3 of the tables were empty. Two of us arrived and ordered Tea, a glass of water, and a glass of wine. The waitress brought out our water and tea, took our food order and stated that she would bring my wine. Our food was brought out by someone from the kitchen but my wine was no where in sight and my water glass was empty, with our waitress no where to be seen. Our waitress finally appeared and said she would get us more water and tea. After several minutes I went to the bar and got water myself. We finished our meal after a second trip to the bar for more water and attempted to pay using the tablet at the table and found our check was wrong. I got the attention of one of the managers and pointed out that I never got my wine which I no longer wanted since my meal was over. She offered to take it off my check and my wife asked for a sweet tea to go. She returned with a glass of tea and a glass of wine. I pointed out again that my meal was over and I was not going to quickly drink a glass of wine. She apologized and then corrected my check. After paying the check we started out the door and my wife took a sip of her tea and discovered it was unsweetened. How can you many mistakes and hope to keep customers? read more

Why isn't there an option to give this sh*thole a zero, y'know? I like steak, but the chef here has no idea as to how to make anything less than rubber, I wanted a f*cking medium rare steak with fries. Instead I got a slab of rubber with some salty burnt sticks, f*ck they even forgot to give me a fork, so I had to wait 20 minutes before i could even try my slab o' rubber. read more

Good servers but disgusting food. Honestly the steak my sister got was over cooked and dear good my mom's Bourbon chicken and shrimp was amazingly dry and disgusting and 2 tables down had the SAME exact problem the apps were good. But that's it. I'm sad and disappointed. read more

Have eaten here several times. The service is terrible but that figures ...so is most of the food. Stick with a Monday $5.00 burger anything else is boiled/nuked in a bag that was prepared miles away at a commissary. Always seem to wait forever to have a wait person make their initial appearance , then another 10-15 minutes before your drinks arrive...even getting the bill takes forever. If you must eat here, order a $5.00 burger and sit at the BAR where you can at least see a member of staff most of the time. read more

We ate there this afternoon and the service was fine. When we went home, my son realized that he had lost his retainer. We came back a few hours later, and the area director for Applebee's, Shaun, went above and beyond his duty by looking for my son's retainer in the trash can. Everyone there was very helpful in taking care of us even though it was the start of the evening rush on a Friday. We will definitely have to come back here again! read more

We were able to be seated at a table right away, and drinks were quick as well as our order being taken. I got the 3 for $12.49 apps as my meal and my boyfriend got the all you can eat shrimp for $10.99 as his meal. It took about fifteen minutes for our food to come out initially, with my three apps coming out before his fried shrimp and fries. After that, his second serving of shrimp took a bit north of twenty minutes, making me think the kitchen is struggling to keep up with orders despite the restaurant only being about 1/3 to 2/3 full. When we did receive his second order of shrimp it did come out hot so it wasn't sitting back there, but fried shrimp and French fries take less than five minutes in a fryer, and I feel we were waiting a bit too long for something that should have been quick. Our server was nice and apologized multiple times for the wait, and kept our drinks full throughout our meal and checked on us regularly. read more

Yesterday i took my daughter to lunch it was late afternoon and there were very few guests. Our server was awful and even though she only had two tables she was running around (in the weeds), The steak was good but the bake potato was half cooked and the vegetables were way under cooked, the salad had old tomatoes on it (slimy). Stopped by to grab a quick lunch on our way back from the race. Our server was as nice as could be but the food was the disappointment of visit. They apparently had just gotten a new truck load of food in, which meant that the spinach and artichoke dip was out of the question because it was still frozen and would not thaw out enough for another 45 minutes. Initially, when she told us that the truck just came in, I thought, "Cool! That means we'd have extra fresh food!" but it turned out to be the opposite. Good variety of food options and the prices were fair. There are cheap lunch options under $10 (choose two: soup, salad, entree) for one person or you can choose between $20 and $25 options (one appetizer and two entrees) if you split with someone else. If one person chooses from the $20 option and the other chooses from the $25, they'll actually just charge you the difference of $22.50 instead of charging for the higher price. The appetizers we received were just okay and the pasta I ordered was bland - not even pepper and hot sauce could make it better. read more

I will absolutely never visit another Applebee's because of this specific visit. I understand it's graduation and karoke Thursday's and it is busy beyond belief. I understand this because I have been a server for almost 10 years and my parents own a successful busy restaurant. So I completely understand. I gave them the benefit of the doubt obviously way too much. Took about 15 minutes to order drinks and 20 to order food. Okay, that's whatever. I'll forgive because it was busy. Almost an hour and a half goes by and still no appetizers. After we checked on it twice. The table sits down behind us and not only do they get their apps already, but they get their entrees as well. We decide to leave and request to speak to a manager. Not only were we not allowed to, but they get angry at US. And tell us "well thats a different server." Um, I know EXACTLY how a kitchen and tickets work like the back of my hand and by NO means should any server apparently get special treatment for tickets? It was absolutely horrible. I've never experienced something like this and I've traveled around doing a special restaurant tour with food critics. Again neither my family, nor myself will ever enter that Applebee's again. read more

Ok has this Applebees' standards slipped or were they always this bad & I just never paid attention? Our first disappointment was being introduced to our table...mess of food and garbage on the floor right next to our table and we had to step over it. What has happened to American dining? It seems to have become common practice for servers to wipe off a table and just let garbage lay wherever it falls. Worse yet, customers don't complain. Had a manager been present I would have commented but it was soon very obvious that there was no management there that night. We were served our drinks, a wine and a margarita. Glasses were gritty feeling to the touch..yuck were they clean? My wine glass had red wine slopped all over the base...I had to wipe it off myself. We were not offered or served any water and it took a while before our order was taken. As we waited for our food we noticed a bartender and a waitress standing at the end of the bar sharing a meal. It seemed a bit too casual for them there dining in plain view of all customers, chatting, wiping their mouths and then pouring drinks. Then we noticed they were both eating out of one Styrofoam to go box....two forks and one box. It was just kind of gross like two pigs eating out of one trough...couldn't they have done that in the back at least, out of sight? Our Caesar salads arrived...cold salads on some very hot plates...oh well...no big deal I suppose but it shows they do not pay attention to detail. Our dinners were quite good...steaks and baked potatoes. The steaks were cooked properly and the potatoes were done well too...very tasty. Young wait staff was everywhere and most were working hard and seemed attentive to their customers but with no manager in sight, things were not well coordinated and some were slacking. Meanwhile food and garbage was left laying on the floor. I searched for a manager all night but there was none to be had so I left my feedback on YELP. I guess Gordon Ramsey has spoiled my dining out because he's made me aware of important little details and how poorly management sometimes is when it comes to cleanliness and service. Applebees, you could be doing a lot better...you get a D+ at best from this customer. read more

This is probably the worst Applebees that I've ever visited. The place is old, dirty, and the food is terrible. This was our second time at this restaurant, and it will be our last. The first time the food was just ok, but the service was bad, and we had some issues with them charging our credit card twice. Corporate sent us some coupons to use as an apology. We finally decided to give it another go but WOW what a mistake! It took forever to get drinks, our waitress was odd and didn't like making eye contact and would disappear for long periods of time. The soup we ordered was so greasy I couldn't even eat it. The boneless wings were good but how hard is it to mess up deep fried chicken? The main course was bland and tasted old, and the quality of the food was questionable. They should consider closing this place down. read more

We order take out regularly. We keep saying we aren't going back. The service is just not good and we never get what we ask for. We have learned to check the order before leaving and we always have to tell them what they missed. Portions are way too small for the money. Overall aren't happy with this location. read more

Strike 3 for Monroe Applebee's. We've had problems two previous times but figured we'd give it one last shot. Fail. Orders incorrect initially so my youngest child waits until everyone else is half finished before his food shows up. My husband's baked potato was literally cold inside so we had to send that back. The restaurant is slow so there's no excuse for food to take half an hour plus to get to the table. No apology, no explanation just crappy service from the time we were seated at a sticky table til the food finally all made it to us. Won't be coming back, lesson learned. I personally a had my server apologize 3 times to us and the server at the booth next to us I heard apologize no less than four times. For food that was not cooked right or was the wrong item being brought out. Something needs to change, the servers spend more time apologizing for kitchen mess ups than actually providing good service. Your also costing the servers money, they already have to tip out to both bar and hostess and your lowering their tips with all the messed up orders. read more

This place is a poor excuse a restaurant. I ordered a salad to go 11.00 salad that comes in a side salad container I asked where the rest of it was and then Bartender gets an attitude. Then dumps the salad in a bigger container. Still a side salad for 11.00 no thanks. read more

No steak knives for the three steaks we ordered. Steak had no flavor. They forgot some of our food. No ketchup for the fries for our kids. Food was just not worth what we paid. read more

Stopped in for a work day lunch. Bourbon Street steak is my favorite and this Applebee's prepared it just right (medium well). Service was attentive but not overly so. Nicole M. did fine. Would stop there again if I was in town. read more
