First off we ordered poppers and they came out cold! We ordered wings dry and fries crispy. Waited about 30 mins and the wings came out swimming in sauce!!! The waitress took them back and a guy from the kitchen brought them back within 5 mins, looked like they wiped them off so the guy took them back to the kitchen.. A few mins hes back with the same basket and they added seasoning to them still wet! Finally just told them to take them off our bill we had already waited 45 mins at this point!! Hands down the best Philly cheese steak I've had down here. Completely delicious. I even ate half the next day cold at work and it still was better than most cheese steaks. I've read most of the reviews here and the majority of them are just the typical complaints from customers who didn't get great service. This is a sports bar that serves alcohol (full bar) & traditional sports bar food with a Tubby's twist is what I call it. The food is at for everyone but you can bet it's good. When I say with a Tubby's twist I mean pickles & peppers on everything. You can ask for all that to be taken off especially the salads. The employees are down to earth & provide the best service you can get. The kitchen does get backed up from time to time just like any restaurant. So if you want a place that caters, babies or puts you on a pedal stool this isn't your place. If you want a place to watch sports,drink beer, eat wings, burgers etc this is your spot. Last time it was terrible. 20 min to get a beer and the waitress was rude giving excuses for the slow service even though the place was half full and we see all the servers BS'ing with other staff and customers. We were very disappointed with the service we received today and the lack of caring from the "manager" on duty. We placed a big order for a Super Bowl party to be picked up at a specific time. When we got there our order was not ready but they told us that they were working on it. We sat there for 20 minutes waiting (past our pick up time that we set) for them to tell us that they only had 35 wings left and did we want them. Normally when you take pre orders you allot for what customers had pre ordered and then fill the call in orders. Apparently this was very hard for the "manager on duty" to understand. Wow what a HORRIBLE experience. I used to love coming here but today I had the most horrible food and service. Apparently the sign that has specials states "7.99 for cheesesteak and fries" (that's it) Well guess what people it's only for dine in ( however we did dine in and got a to-go order too) so we got overcharged for that plus charged.75 for cheese we didn't get. Also, I got wrong food when right did came out of was overcooked. And sliders were so dry the top bread was dry.So after bringing it to manager (Jessica) attention she stated "nothing I can do it's a rule " so I said your willing to lose a customer for $2? The service from this restaurant absolutely HORRIBLE. The owner and manager are both very rude don't want to fix there mistakes. There prices are way over the top for mediocre Philly sandwiches and wings. I paid $188.71for 4 sandwiches and 20 wings. I did not receive none of my fries or tater tots. I asked for wet wings they were regular, I did not receive my med Philly sandwich either. Dewayne was the manager this night and he has no customer service or proper management skills and the owner allows his staff to talk to his customers any kind of way. My family and I actually come here pretty frequently. Unfortunately, I believe the state of this place is in decline. The first time I came here I had a meatball sub. I loved it. Tasted fantastic. Over time I found the Reuben, which is IMO the best thing on the menu. Let's talk this visit. I went back to my first meal and decided to get a meatball sub again. We also ordered lemon pepper wings. These had good flavor, a little strong on the flavors, but still good overall. The only reason for a second star on this review. My sub came, and it will go down as the worst sub I've eaten, including some of the crap I've experienced at subway. The meatballs lacked any binding agent, so it was a ground beef sub at best. There was more sauce than meat. The entire thing had a single flavor: oregano. As far as I know, half the spice bottle made it into my sandwich. The fries that came with it were bland, no flavor at all. Worst meal I've had here. Complained to the staff, still had to pay for it. They didn't do anything for me. Wait staff ignored us most of the meal, didn't clean off the table as we finished with things. I can't recommend this establishment anymore. Update: still takes forever to get food. Everything else is still relevant as well. I'll be surprised if they can keep the doors open much longer. read more

Stopped into this new place to watch the hockey game on Wednesday night. As expected, the bar was not full to capacity midweek but there was plenty of staff on hand to take care of everyone quickly and efficiently. I found the staff to be very friendly, plenty of TVs and they werehappy to accommodate my request for an out-of-town hockey game. I had already eaten dinner but chose to try the lemon pepper wings that one special and was very happy with them. Not only were the wings very meaty but the seasoning was extremely good as well. It is not the biggest sports bar that I have ever been to but I recommend it to anyone in the Covington area looking to enjoy a night out and watch a game. read more

The menu items are mostly identical, but Tubby Toms offers alcohol and a bar atmosphere, while also charging more for the same exact food you get at Little Phillies....wait staff is fair at best. Came in one night last week after work to grab a quick snack and to chill out. We were seated quickly by a sweet young lady. Too bad that's where the nice stopped. The server was ok, she did her job (blonde with rats nest looking hair tied up) but she definitely didn't give us a warm welcome. Food was hot and good, absolutely no complaints about that HOWEVER the lady (long dark hair) that drought it to the table literally dropped it and walked off! WTH??? The place wasn't busy as it was the middle of the week so not understanding the attitude and unfriendliness of your servers. This is not Dominos Pizza...this mistake is not on me! Why would I order a to go order and find it convenient to bring a wrong sandwich back. The lady on the phone acknowledged the fact the food was wrong, yet she had no intentions of satisfying or correcting the poor service and responsibility of their mistake. This Pam reviewer seems to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. I usually don't review much on yelp, but I feel that with Tubby Toms having so few reviews the record needs to be set straight. I'm not a local but I come here weekly and have never had a bad experience. The food is good, it's clean, the staff is nice and personable, and I've always had a good time. There are lots of tvs and they will change the stations if you ask. I'm not sure what else to say but I like this place.... And Daryl the bar tender is cool. read more

Nice little place. My husband loves the Chicago dogs but I've yet to find something I really like there. I tried the fried chicken hoagie, the chicken was dry and tasteless.
