Located on Rt 22 in Murrysville. A good size parking lot. Nice, clean and well run location. We enjoy the rotating menu special menu. All of the staff is nice and friendly. Their happy hour menu is twice a day, the appetizers are half off and drinks are discounted throughout the restaurant, not just the bar area which is a bonus. My favorite is the Chicken Wonton Tacos. Other apps on the menu is also good and priced right! This location is very consistent, food and drinks. We've never had a major issue and any are resolved through management. The parking lot is not a concern. Always consistent and that's what is important, The New Orleans specials are a favorite. Great location, will definitely return soon. What a rip off!! Service was actually good. But what I was appalled by was when I got my check receipt I found they charged me three dollars for playing the electronic games on their system. Let me be clear that I never played any of their games and have no idea why they charged me for it. I pointed it out to the manager, and he insisted that he could not take the money off that I was charged for the games. So basically I was charged several dollars for playing games that I never played. I am appalled by this ripoff where they basically charge me three dollars and then insist there was nothing they could do once I had already paid the bill. By the way, the other suspicious thing about this was that when I was given the total on the machine it did not show me the receipt and only gave me the total amount. It was only after I paid that I was given the opportunity to get a receipt and that's when I saw I had been charged for the games. Very good location. The food took only 9 minutes on a Saturday at 5:30. Quick staff, also friendly. The only downside is that it is just a tad bit dirty but overall I would recommend. read more

Went there at that location, 4920 William Penn Highway for the very first time. Other Applebee's I went to were very very nice. This one however missed the mark by far. I ordered a 12 oz. Rib Eye Steak with garlic potatoes and Broccolli. I wanted it Medium Rare. I just got off the plane at Latrobe Airport and was starving. Plus ordered boneless wings. Wings were fine. My steak was a disaster! It was RARE as RARE can be. Red and red blood throughout and even a bone at the tip. It didn't even look like a Rib Eye! We told the waitress about it thinking maybe a manger would take a look but that didn't happen. I have had rare steaks so I went ahead and ate the steak, except for the very rare part of it and the small bone. Not at all tasty. Again we told her of the steak but nothing happened, so i ate the steak and paid for what I ate. Plus the potatoes were like a rock on top, but underneath was fine. Bill was $57.53. Plus this is the VERY First time I never left a tip. Just wish the manager would of taken a look of what the steak looked like. I was tired, so I didn't persue it in person. I've been to this location many times. Applebee's in Monroeville has changed many times through out the years. The décor is clean and bright. The service has improved, however with each change they change the menu items, which is always a good and bad thing. Corporate decides which are good selling items. They always seem to take off your favorites, this location is no exception. I was able to find something on the menu that was new and looked interesting. The Quesadilla Burger. It was pretty to look at. The first few bites where very good, however, for me the burger didn't fit the quesadilla and it was just not enough. I found it easier to eat with fork and knife, that spoiled the burger experience for me. Others might like it just the way it is. Worth the try. The fries are frozen and of course are always cold. Pepsi products was nice, I am not a coke person, but the dessert saved the day. Apple Cinnamon Fritter! Chose your food carefully. I do recommend. Our family often comes here on Sundays after church. We visited today and it was great as usual. Our server often has us and she's wonderful. We come with our family of six and usually another family or two. Today there were 11 of us. No wait to sit down. And everything was great. The kids devoured the pretzels. Tiffany was our waitress and she treated us with so much respect, and made sure everything was perfect for all the picky people in our group. The food was excellent and quick. I went for a late night snack to this Applebees on Saturday night. While the website stated they were open until 1 am, the store has a sign that states they close at midnight. Upon walking in, it was about 10 minutes before a hostess seated us. The restaurant was not busy and we were the only ones waiting to be seated. Upon being seated and ordering food, the pace seemed ok until the food was brought out. My friends food was partially brought out. He received his ribs and coleslaw and was told his fries would be out shortly. Over 20 minutes later his fries came out and we're not hot. When the waitress was asked what happened, she stated the fryer was shut down early and had to be restarted. When being told that a meal should come out as ordered rather than separate pieces and not hot, the response was at least you have standards. The response led us to believe that the restaurant didn't have standards. The waitress went on to state that she was sorry that we had a bad experience and to have a good rest of our night. It was such a non caring attitude about the poor service that we will not go back to this Applebees. read more

I do not recommend this restaurant whatsoever. We had Sheri as our server and she immediately started with an attitude. She seemed very unpleasant the entire time and made it known that she was annoyed with our presence. I watched her throw customers menus on the tables, she yelled at a customer who did not hear her correctly, and stomped around the entire time. Another waitress yelled right in front of us about how she is "just trying to leave!" meanwhile we were about to be sat in her sections, hence why Sheri ended up being our server instead. Overall a terrible experience. I 100% recommend driving to a further location than ever giving them my money again. I used to work for this company. And I worked at this location. We were celebrating my nephews birthday, a party of 8. All of our food was cold and disgusting. My son and I sent our meals back and they came back just as bad. After an experience like this, you would expect at least one manager to stop by.....but not a single one did. Our server Melissa was amazing and attentive to our needs, however she was put in a bad position because the food was horrendous and the management didn't seem to care. The food and bar drinks are consistently slow to reach the table at this location. Today it was 40 minutes for the food and it was dead... maybe 8 tables in entire restaurant. I keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and have eaten here over 25 times since I live close by..but it is the same experience 90% of the time. Went to Applebee's tonight with my family and it lower my rating with Applebee's. My impression with Applebee's food is not that great, until their recent menu update. I was actually impressed when I visit the Monroeville location a couple weeks ago. However, tonight was a different story, food was okay. Definitely not something I would return for. After we put in our order tonight, we thought we should also get an appetizer, so we browse through the kiosk/tablet on the table and ordered the Kobe style meatball. It had a gorgeous picture, while I do understand the photo are taken by a profession and the real food are usually not comparable, but when we receive our appetizer, it was ugly!!! My first moment of thought was, is that what I ordered? Looks so much different, even the portion was cut in half. The photo shows a full size ciabatta bread while I only see half on my plate. Hmmm. Fortunately it taste better than it looked. For our entrees, we ordered a steak, Baby Back Ribs, and a Chicken entree. They all tasted decent with the exception of the steak. It's not firm like a real steak, it's actually tender but in a weird way. Not sure what kind of steak they use, but we've never had a steak like that. We returned it and got a chicken dish instead. Overall, the food is just okay, not something I would return for. Expect more when I dine in at a restaurant. read more

I stopped at this location on Dec. 26, 2017 with my husband and son on our way back home to Johnstown from Pittsburgh. It was 4:00 in the afternoon and not very busy in the restaurant . Our appetizers and burgers were delicious and served in a timely manner. The only reason I gave a rating of 4 stars was because of the friendliness of our server. He wasn't overly welcoming and made us feel as though he was burdened by waiting on us. The staff here is super accommodating. I had a grilled chicken bbq sandwich with Swiss cheese and bacon. Great tangy BBQ sauce. I also had the French Onion Soup. I'll definitely have that again. Internet was easy to connect to. I was here a month ago after a concert late night with a friend. Same friendly experience then too!. Went there for Cinco De Mayo. To sum it up... bad margaritas, steak'um quesadillas, and meh chips and salsa. We were lured in the by $1 margarita special. i guess you get what you pay for. It tasted like Lick-em-aid powder with tequila mixed in, and no salt on the rim. The food wasn't much better. The beef brisket quesadilla wasn't brisket, but basically Steak'um (although fairly tasty if you enjoy Steak'um). The chips and salsa were fine. It's kinda hard to mess that up, but for $4, they should be refillable. Would not rush back here anytime soon. read more

Employees can be clueless ... they are currently promoting a perfect margarita offer. If the staff doesn't offer you a Perfect Margarita, then you are supposed to get one on-the-house. Solid 4 -- I'd give it a 4.5 if I could. Not sure where all the negative reviews come from -- I go once a week for lunch -- have been doing so since it opened. Great lunch menu with the Pick 'n Pair cards -- sixth lunch is free after you buy five -- 4-cheese mac & cheese with honey pepper chicken is a favorite and their french onion soup is generally pretty awesome. I always sit at the bar and ALWAYS have tremendous service -- even better when Nicole is there. She lets you eat and anticipates your needs -- one of the best ever! The atmosphere in the new restaurant is clean and nice for taking the family out for a meal with their murrysville themed decor. Applebees is a good, cheaper option compared to other restaurants in the area. The food is decent, regular Applebees fare, but it's not always hot and fresh. Occasionally you will get a good server, but more often than not you'll get someone that is slow or acts like they have no idea what they're doing.
