1/2 price appetizers are a good price if looking for an nightly snack and gathering if you're willing to suffer the horrible unwarranted wait at this location. We usually go one night a weekend and it never fails that they are either understaffed or just don't care. We've watched people stand in front of the door for 30 minutes just waiting for a hostess or someone to seat them. Then for someone to come and tell them there's a 10 minute wait, while about a dozen tables are available. Once seated, your lucky to get a server to return to the table more than every 20+ minutes. You'd think the restaurant would be fully staffed and capable on the weekend. Corporate needs to come in and clean house with competent, capable, caring personnel. read more

I don't write reviews but the service at this establishment warranted it. No greeter when I arrived. Waited 5 minutes just standing there and decided to seat myself. What I assume was the greeter walked past me a minimum of 8 times before I finally stopped him and asked for a menu. He brought one to the table and dropped it. About 30 minutes later a lady that I assume is a manager stopped by my table to tell me that the section I am in is closed and then asked me what I would like to drink. You would think that since she took my drink order it must be OK to sit here. BTW I seated myself in the front row 3 booths away from the door. I have now been here for 45 minutes and she just returned to take my order. I guess I will see how long it takes for the food to arrive. I don't normally eat at Applebee's but I got a gift card for my birthday. Don't plan on coming back. read more

I went to this restaurant at 5:00 on a Monday evening. There were about 5 other tables of customers. I was seated and waited almost 10 minutes, no one ever came to the table. I wasn't the only one. A couple other tables seated after me had the same problem. Very frustrating! Worst experience ever! Waited 30 minutes at my table to walk out and not eat or drink. Only water! Watched my drinks get made and then sit at the service bar for 10 minutes. Server had a trainee and the trainee was walking around like he knew what he was doing but not! Trainer was overwhelmed and under delivered. Other servers showed no team work and manager was making drinks running food and not managing the restaurant. All in all the worst experience ever for my birthday and a former Applebee's employee. DO NOT come here if you are looking to eat even an "okay" meal. This location SMELLS like a combination of extremely bad body odor and rotten food. The servers mess up orders, the tables, seats, restrooms, and floors, etc. are DIRTY, and the food is THE WORST. I threw up not even ten minutes after eating here. I don't know what is going on with Applebee's, but the waiters they have beein hiring lately SUCK !!! They are rude, messed with the and drinks. Took forever to get the food and the order was wrong and they were rude about that. Then got pissy when they didn't get a tip. Well EARN it, is my thinking. A tip is not a given. This was a horrible eating experience. We had a Christmas gift card that turned into a punishment. The service was slow. The service was REALLY slow. The service was incredibly slow. We sat at our table for every bit of 5 minutes before a server even spoke to us. For some reason, the bartender was also waiting on tables. There appeared to be plenty of staff onsite, but they were either not working or not in the right areas. When we finally ordered, our food took an unreasonable time to be brought out, and several other patrons got up and left due to the poor service. Additionally, my bride's Butcher's Meat & Potatoes looked more like meatloaf and gravy. I understand that the menu pictures are literally showroom quality, but you should at LEAST be able to recognize it AS the dish you ordered. Overall, this was the worst dining experience we've had in a few years at ANY restaurant. Complete failure. read more

Why in the heck would you served a child a plate that is so HOT that you have to wear an oven Mittens to serve the plate? It's a child menu item so you know it's going to a child. My 4 year old was served a corn dog an applesauce on a plate that was oven hot. I can not understand this. read more

We have tried this location 3 times and all 3 times we left the restaurant without eating. The restaurant was not busy at all the first time and they had us sitting waiting for a table for 20 minutes. We just walked out. 2nd time we came in we got a table as soon as we walked in, but then we sat at the table for over 15 minutes without even the waitress even looking our way even after me trying to get them to come serve us. So today we talked and was going to try it again. first the person shirt was untucked and was totally disrespectful. He had to ask the waitress if we could sit at this table. After we sat down he just hovered over us waiting for her to stop what she was doing so he could talk with her. Now I still go to other applebees and never any trouble. Olive Branch needs to shut down again and maybe get new management or new owner. They just suck. I will not go back unless they fire the entire staff and start over. Worst service of any restaurant in the area. Every time I go, I swear I will never go back. They never fail to screw up my take out order!! The manager can't even apologize for me being on hold over 10 minutes to place a take-out order. I finally had to drive there to place my order. We got to the location a little before 5 pm and looked over the menu. They were no very busy at all. It took over 25 minutes to get entrees, we did not order apps. The server was very nice and provided excellent service, it was the kitchen that was the problem. She explained we came on at shift changethat was the reason for the delay she went back to the kitchen to find out how long it would be to get our order. She let the manager no we were not happy. When we got our order the meat was done correctly but the sides that came with it were almost non existent. The manager finally came to our table before we left and offered to comp our meal. I explained we were not looking for a free meal, we just wanted to let him know he had issues with his kitchen. I tipped our server well and left. Before we left the manager asked us to come back and give them wither try, since we was going to address the issues I raised. We will give them 1 more chance. read more

Tried it again. Was very skeptical when asked to wait with half empty tables but endured the wait politely. Was then pointed to which table we should seat ourselves at. Nice. It was later explained that it was shift change. It was also hinted at that they were preparing to turnover some staff. Good. Hostess looked mad at all times. The bartender is sloooooow. (Did I mention not very crowded?) The drinks seemed weak. Maybe by the book and I'm used to more generous bartenders, so ill let that slide. Now for the good: Our waitress, Tomia, was very friendly and helpful. The food was actually very good. Husband had the sirloin with grilled onions and stout gravy. He really liked it. Almost as good as the days when Arulio made them here. You're Lucky if get one of his,by the way. I had the oriental chicken salad. The vinegrette is great. I think I'll come back here in a month or so. I think good things may still happen here in the future. This time was better than last. read more

April 8 2017 My daughter and I stopped for a bite to eat after shopping. First it took the waitress longer than expected in which it wasn't to busy at this time. We asked for sweet tea and a half/half(sweet tea and lemonade). The tea was unsweetened so I asked to change it. She's trying to convince it's sweet. My response I know the difference between sweeten, lightly sweeten and unsweetened.we ordered a chicken strip salad, sirs hi shrimp, and quesadilla. First my daughters strips in the salad was fried very hard and dark but she was hungry was going to attempt to eat it until sh discovered a bug in the lettuce as plain as day. Very poor customer service. Overall we did not have a great experience. It was Friday evening at 8 pm and it was maybe 30% full. Having said that we waited 5 minutes to be seated with no one acknowledging our presence (keep in mind there was no one else waiting or even around). After being seated, we sat 8-10 minutes without anyone recognizing our existence. We attempted to go ahead and order with the table kiosk which did not work, it just continued to refresh before ultimately timing out and not sending the appetizer to the kitchen. After ordering and waiting a bit We asked for our salads which she said sure I'll go get them (who knows how long they had been ready) and brought them right out. She brought out all the food except one side for the children and she said she'd go get it. 6-8 minutes later she returned with it, at that point we had fed the kids from our meals. In addition she was inaccurate about the pricing of the side menu item upcharge (loaded potato). Also we asked for a take home box that never came. We paid in cash and after waiting several Minutes for her to return we just left the extra with her for tip (too much for the service we received but we were done waiting). Food was fine, but poor service. Keep in mind this was all with an empty restaurant. Avoid this location. read more

If there was an option to give no stars I would... i placed a Togo order yesterday and asked specifically for extra dressing, well guess who gets home with no extra dressing? this chick. So i politely call the manager and he tells me he can offer me a refund for the inconvenience so today i went to get it he informed me i could no longer have my refund, that he could offer me a free meal but only tomorrow. So i agreed(trying not to be a difficult customer) after that he decides to have a team meeting before getting me the piece of paper saying i have a free meal for the next day so it took the manager Emanuel over 15 minutes to GET A PIECE OF PAPER therefore as a customer i didnt feel valued so i left without any compensation after spending 15$ on a salad i didnt get to eat and waiting for 15 minutes on something that never came. So this is the end of my rant, a word to the wise skip this location or just Applebee's all together because they suck. This was the worst restaurant I've ever entered. First, we never even saw a server. After 5 minutes of waiting to be served, the hostess took our drink order. After 4 minutes of looking at our water and tea, the BARTENDER came over and took our appetizer order. She also took our menus. So we had our appetizers and then left. We went to O'Charlie's for our entrees since Applebee's wasn't interested in selling us one. Nice steak, O'Charlie's. Great service at O'Charlie's, too. read more

My family and I went to this Applebee's location and it was HORRIBLE. It literally took 10 minutes before we ever saw a hostess and when we were seated, we told the hostess we wanted a booth and she gave us table. They weren't busy either. They had maybe 3 families in the entire place along with maybe 2 or 3 people at the bar. After we sat down at our table, we waited 20 minutes and still no one had taken our drink orders so we walked out. The service was just pathetic, and I would comment about the food too, but I didn't ever get a chance to get any. I would NEVER recommend that location to anyone and I will never be going back! read more

Only got half our order and had to ask about the remainder of our order. The floor is dirty. The table we were sat at was dirty and had to ask for it to be cleaned before we could sit in it. Hostess was not thrilled about getting it cleaned. The oriental chicken salad had probably a teaspoon of dressing and 4 little stripes of chicken. It took 15 minutes to get our second drink order from the bar, by then were done with the meal. We will not be coming back. read more

Had a really good experience here last night. New management seems to have really made a difference since our last visit about 8 months ago. We had hesitated to go back but this time was very different. The service was so good -- our food was out very quickly. I had the Babyback Ribs and they were just right as was my ceasar salad. My husband had the New Chicken meal with a very generous salad. The server was very friendly and attentive and the manager took time to come over and talk to us. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We will NEVER go there again. Arrived at 7:05 pm on a Friday. Parklng lot empty. Seated immediately. Ordered by 7:15 a fried chicken salad, chicken tenders kid's meal, and a steak with potato. At 8:15pm, we still did not have our food. Numerous people who came in after us had their food and were done. Our waiter tried to tell us our ticket had only been back with the kitchen for 26 minutes, and argued with us when we explained that was impossible. We asked for the manager, he acted like we should not be complaining. His apology was most insincere. We explained it was the second time in 6 months we had extremley slow service. He said he would check on our food. We waited 5 more minutes and walked out. We wasted over an hour in this restaurant and never got to eat! It was beyond ridiculous!!!!! Again, never will grace their doors ever again! As a matter of fact I will never go to ANY Applebee's anywhere in the country EVER again. read more
