My wife and I went to your location in La Crosse, WI, yesterday. She is vegetarian and was disappointed to see that Applebee's still does not have a single vegetarian entree on their menu. When she asked the server, he suggested she could order some pasta and opt out of the chicken. But would have to pay full price for the meal. No thanks. Why don't you add a vegetarian patty to your menu that could be swapped for the meat on a burger? Chili's and Red Robin both have had this option for years. She ended up eating a baked potato and broccoli from the sides section on your menu. The butter had some torn plastic in it and my side salad had pieces of rotten lettuce. To top it off, there was a huge hole in the floor that made the table rock back and forth... Could not be fixed with sugar packets. We won't be back anytime soon. read more

First and foremost this is the Dirtiest Applebee's I've ever been to. This place is noticeably outdated the moment you walk in. I was un satisfied with the customer service and the food. I ordered the Grilled chicken fiesta lime bowl. The food came out in a decent amount of time. I immediately noticed there was no guacamole in the dish. I asked our server if they missed the ingredient. She apologized came back to the table and said they ran out but they were going to make me some. I waited another ten minutes patiently picking at my dish as it got cold. Then the manager came out and told me they were not able to bring out the guacamole. She asked if they could bring me more salsa and said "Sorry". More salsa?! wtf. I was upset by the lack of urgency to communicate the fact they didn't have this key ingredient. They should have told me about the situation ASAP. The time that passed by was enough to allow the chicken to cool. I was looking forward to the guacamole so I waited to eat the dish. Anyway on top of all that they didn't even have the decency to offer a discount on the dish. Horrible customer service. I'm not one to complain. I'll just let everyone know here on this platform what their business practices are. We will not be returning. read more

Went there on new years day. Signed in with the Hostess for a table of two. Asked if we could sit at on of the tables in the bar section, she said that there was one group ahead of us and and that they would be seated there. We stopped in right at 1pm today and were greeted by Colton who was very nice despite the fact that he just got chewed out by some very impatient people who couldn't wait 10 minutes for a table. Rebecca our waitress was obviously working hard to please her tables and provide excellent service, she was eager and polite and took the time to explain the kids menu options to my son. Have been a regular at Applebee's over the years, and it always has been a go to restaurant for us. The last year or so I've noticed some big changes. For one the portion sizes have decreased dramatically while the price continues to stay the same or has went up. I called last night to get a to go order and was told that the to go system was down and they could not take any to go orders? I was disgusted if you want loyal customers you are loyal to them. If your computer is down wouldn't you hand write the order or do whatever the staff is doing inside the restaurant to help customers. the head moved. not because of the water. but because there was still life. the eyes panned to me. they stared at me. the mouth opened and spoke in a tongue i couldnt understand. but i understood the heads emotion. he was happy. he found his home. headless. in a toilet. at the applebees in onalaska, wisconsin. but the joy the head had was something i grew jealous of as i ate my meal. i went back to the restroom and found the head once more. i picked the head up and asked it "why? why do you get to be happy? why is it that a bodiless head can be happier than me? a fully able bodied man?" the head looked at me with fear. my heart filled with regret but, my mind was already too far lost. i placed the head on the ground. i told the head the last thing it would ever hear, "i'm sorry." i stomped the head until it was nothing but mush. i cleaned it with the applebee's bathroom napkins. if a head could find joy in a toilet, why cant i? with this idea, i snuck into the applebees kitchen, stealing a large butcher knife, then sawed away. now here i lay. a bodiless head. im happier than ive ever been. someone dropped their phone for me. i use my tongue for the screen. i have all i need. applebees, a phone, and this toilet. life has never been better. thank you applebees. you wont have my heart, for someone took my headless body, but you can have my thanks as you allow me to remain in your mens toilet. read more

Went here with my husband, nephew and daughter despite reading the reviews, thought we would try it anyway. My husband and I ordered the Parmesan Steak and Shrimp. We both had the mashed potatoes and vegetables. The mashed potatoes were ice cold and the veggies were rock hard, the steak wasn't great either. This restaurant is a zero on customer service. I have food allergies. I notified waiter of my allergy before I ordered and told him I had back up choices if the first wouldn't work. He arrogently told me my choice wouldn't be a problem without even checking. When our food finally arrived, not only did the entre' contain my allergen, but so did the salad dressing. We notified the manager who changed out the food. When the waiter finally went by, he didn't apologize for his attitude or his error. He looked at my empty glass, stated that I needed more water and kept walking without checking with the other person at the table. We dined on 6-6-16 around 7PM. The place was not that busy, and it still took around an hour to get our food. When the food arrived half of it was luke warm. One of the plates has what appeared to be red juice or jam smeared on it. The waitress dropped the food and left, not to be seen again until everyone was finished. When she returned she asked if we'd like our drinks refilled, but it was too late and her tip fate had been sealed. No managers made there presence known, which is strange for this chain. Went in tonight with my sister. They messed up her strawberry lemonade, I'm not sure how one does that. I got the spinach chicken pasta and the pasta/spinach was good. The chicken was half cooked. The only thing our waitress did was run our drinks and take our food order (which was done at the same time). We asked the host for her and they paged her right away. Had to wait 20 minutes to order drinks. Ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was fruit punch with strawberries in it. Wonton tacos were good but for 1/2 price apps I would still like someone to offer a refill on my drink. We only had a party of 7 and yet the place was slow and had to wait constantly. The last time i went here we had a party of four and there were two other tables. It was around 7pm. It took an hour and 45 minutes to get our food, which was all cold. During the wait, our waitress stopped by once to refill drinks. After we got our cold food the manager stopped by to offer us each a free dessert, which we thought was nice. A waitress should never be assigned if she cannot handle the workload. It was a quiet afternoon at 2pm--well after the lunch crowd. Our waitress was not very friendly but neither unpleasant. Ordering was fine, but that's when it all went downhill. Our appetizer, entree, and drink refills were all brought to us by three different people. However, she was quick to bring us the check. After waiting 8 minutes for her to come BACK for the check, we finally had to let someone know we were looking for her so we could pay and get the heck out of there. I read an article how Applebee's is going downhill and is going to be both closing and opening a number of their restaurants in 2020. You can start by closing this one we had a party of 10 that arrived and were seated . Took forever to get anything going , the waitress was nice but appeared overwhelmed couldn't recall orders etc .... the food was garbage I mean in our party steaks medium rare were over cooked, the appetizers weren't appetizing . The funny thing was a number of people ordered salads and a number got their full meal before their salads came out which should have been in some cases prior to the meal . Loaded baked potato totally undercooked , chicken tasted the rubber!!! The wait staff tried but you could see a number of other tables sending items back etc .... it was a colossal bad experience!! Haven't been to Applebee's in awhile and now I remember why ....... will not being going back there anytime soon .... Shopko closed behind the Applebee's just recently and if they keep treating customers like they do by half Assing it they might as well close down as well ... I am in town for a month for business and have been utilizing the CarSide to Go frequently. The service is quite friendly, but the quality of the meals I've gotten are spotty at best. Several times items were missing. I ordered a baked potato with butter and sour cream and I got a plain baked potato. I've ordered the classic burger that is supposed to come with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Neither time have I received the veggies, and one time the burger was delicious and pink as requested and the second time it was burnt to a crisp. It is disappointing because my hometown Applebee's is consistently great. I would expect the same from all Applebee's. read more

Waitress messed up on the order entering into the system and ordered pepperoni pizza instead of cheese pizza. My steak was ordered medium and came well done and the waitress did not have to have a new steak fired. Baked potato was not cooked through and my wife's mojito was not drinkable.
