We had dinner last night there and the food was average but what gave them low rating was the employee that was our waiter. He was so rude we almost got up and left before we ordered our food. He had a very bad attitude. It was obvious that he didn't like working there but needed the money. The place was dirty food and trash on the floor, only where he would seat customers. Oh gosh, we used to LOVE Applebees... literally we would dine there up to 3 times a week. When we moved to Wichita/ Park city area things stopped abruptly. Park City Applebees should not even be operating. Seriously. In the span of 3 years we have tried 3 times. ALL 3 times were disastrously awful. A complete waste of $65. The steak isn't seasoned well like they used to be - but beyond THAT - the food is cooked horribly. The rice that came with my Fajita chicken was refrigerated still. Completely unwarmed, unmicrowaved, hard, raw., like seasoned straight outta the field after soaking in lukewarm warm water for 2 days. The WhoLE Slab of ribs ordered looked like someone took 1 tablespoon of bbq sauce and let their toddler rub it in a few spots with their fingers. Completely bare. Naked. Looked ashamed to be on the plate. The fries (3 orders worth) were from the lunchtime shift, I'm convinced.... And we ordered at 7:30pm. You could have used them as weapons. Shank-Fries. Sad and pathetic to call yourself "good" in ANY neighborhood. Sigh. A review made to management online was respectful, but led nowhere. We were promised "someone would reach out by email" but apparently the General management is showing why the food was so bad. No one reached out. We won't return. Beware. This rant goes out to ALL the Applebee's places, not just this one. We ate in Oklahoma the other day and only had 3 choices on the 1/2- Price appetizers. Thought it was just them. Couldn't wait to get back to Kansas so we could go to one of our usual spots. So, here we are and guess what? The waitress told us we could get the boneless or bone-in chicken wings, pretzels with dip, chips and dip or a variation thereof, like queso. Everything else we asked about that used to be on that particular menu was told NO. Talk about disappointed! Well, hubby was playing with the table machine and discovered several items listed at half-price. Next thing you know, we have cheeseburger sliders and Asian steak tacos for half price. YES!!!!! Our happy faces are back and our faith in the delicious appetizers has returned! I gotta get back to the scrumptious table full of tasty delights now... read more

The park city Wichita APPLEBEE'S is the best one by far. Bill the assistant manager and the manager and the entire staff especially our servers, Kathie and Desiree were terrific!. My wife and I were greeted by both managers and they really made my wife and I feel special. The food came out fast, hot and delicious . The ambiance was top notch too. Great job!. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Took 10 minutes for us to even get our drinks, THEN another 20 minutes for them to take our order, AND THEN took an hour for our food to come out and when it did it was ALL cold. Plus they got our order wrong when they brought the food out the first time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APPLEBEES. They also kept all of our empty drink cups on the table crowding our table space at an already small table. Horrible Experience! My boyfriend was handed my to go order and the owner told him to "Have a good day" as well as the waitress. He thought I had already payed so he headed home. I get a call from Claire the manager saying we hadn't paid. I immediately offered to pay over the phone. She responded with a child like attitude and in completely disrespectful manner. Considering this was the fault of the store I am absolutely appalled. I would love to see Claire fired for her complete disrespect and horrible customer service. I had to rate one star just to make the post. I would NEVER recommend this location. read more

We came in on a busy night. The hostess and the owner both greeted us nicely and quickly responded to our requests. I was pleasantly surprised to get such great service, especially when they were so busy. The food was delicious. I will definitely come back when we visit next year. read more

Wow, had to look at three different booths to find one that didn't have ripped seats. Had to also wait 5 minutes or more after the food was served for Tatar sauce and salt and pepper to show up. It was not the waitresses fault. She did a great job. Food was wonderful, tasted excellent. Just need to send the managers for training on facility management. read more

I have always Love Applebee's great restaurant, food is priced right....but this location is suffering. They seem to have untrained waitresses, and other staff. We had several hicups, starting by taking too long to seat up, and there was no one else waiting. We got seated and finally ordered drinks. My ice tea came in about 5 min but it took 10 more min for the wife to get her hot chocolate. 20 min later we were still waiting on our food, the waitress at the table beside came with food for them, wasn't theirs. She started to take it back when I told her it was ours. We got it and I sent her to find the salads. We were nearly finished when the manager brings our salads, apologizes for them and took them off the bill.. That was very nice of him and won a couple more stars. We both ordered the 2 for $25 1/2 racks of ribs and what a deal they are. They were very good and we had a lot more than we could eat. Wish there were more of a selection on the sides. Green Beans, Baked potatoes, french fries, mash potatoes and mac and cheese. Maybe could add some corn, and maybe okra I too. I will come back because I love the prices and the food. read more

Pulled over for a quick bite, on our long journey home, and were pleasantly welcomed and served. The food was enjoyed by all! There were a couple of small hiccups, but the waitress was so kind and accommodating -- she even offered us a coupon for half off one of the entrees. This Applebee's is always a stop for us when we head to our hometown. It's exactly halfway. Normally it is great. This time around it was awful from start to finish. We were there on a Sunday at 3pm. The place was not busy. The guy seating us had no idea where to seat us, brought us a very dirty high chair for our infant, girl who got our drinks didn't get drink order right (4 of us and two were waters) no apologies for the mess up, then our waitress when finally decided to come to our table; didn't apologize for the delay, she came to our table only one time after we got our food, we then had to ask someone else for what we needed; the ranch that didn't come with wings, extra napkins and refills. read more

We got there at 10:03 p.m. it was not packed at all, we were the only people waiting...We were approached at 10:10, the host asked us if a high top table would be fine, we said no we would prefer a booth .....he rolled his eyes, made a loud sigh and then said this way. Once we got seated we were not approached by our waitress until 10:23 which she placed our drink order. 10:29 she took our food order we ordered chicken wanton tacos, bourbon chicken, a salad and wings. I asked if I could have celery with my wings and the waitress snapped back at me and said "it already comes with it" The whole time we were there the waitress was complaining about being at work since 10:30 in the morning. We finally got our food at 11:05 which my wings came with no celery, my wanton tacos were cold like they had been sitting out. My sister asked the waitress for another alcohol beverage which wasn't delivered to her until after we paid for the meal bc the bartender "forgot". Bottom line do not allow your waitresses to pull doubles if the service goes out of the window. ..Food was nasty, customer service was horrible. read more

This restraunt has gone downhill fast i would recommend to no one. Wich is sad because they used to be awesome went more then half of my visit there with NO BEVERAGE REFILL WHAT SO EVER. I'm only rating this location so low because of what happened, I am a truck driver and on Mondays if I am ever close to an Applebee's I stop in for their Monday burger deal, when I got there I was 90 minutes early so I hung out and started talking to the bartender and another guy their, I myself had 2 beers over 2 hour then started drinking sodas but the guy next to me was drinking beer after beer and he had so much to drink that he could not even finish his last beer, he was so drunk he was bragging about his $70 beer tab and having 12 beers, he then stood up and said he was leaving me and another person started asking if he was ok, he said he was fine, I asked how far he was going he said only 5 miles, as he was walking out the door I boticed how much trouble he was having was having walking and he was getting in truck and leaving, I told the two people at the door a make and female employee what was going on and they thought it was funny, I had to jump their shit a little to get them motivated, I said it's not funny you need to get his plate # and do something they finally did, after a minute I went back and asked and was told we asked the manager and was told since he is already gone their is nothing they could do, this had to be theist disturbing thing I have ever been told, I went to the make that got the plate number and called the police myself, the police their were very fast to respond and I seen 2 police officers come by in less than 2 minutes, the called me back 5 minute later said they would see if he went to the registered address to the truck and check on him, I sickens me that this Applebee's did not take this seriously, the fact that 2 of them thought it was funny pissed me off, he could have easily caused a major accident I'm still not sure he didn't, anyway he had a red pickup truck Kansas plate 036DDO is what was given to me UPDATE: The police were able to catch up with him, he was arrested for DUI read more

Well I haven't been to Applebee's in a while. One thing to say is that our waitress was a good listener; she heard a conversation of ours and joined in. I didn't want to spend too much, so I decided to get something other steak, what I usually order at restaurants. I ordered the three cheese chicken cavatappi, which has been highly recommended. I actually enjoyed it so much, the chicken was cooked just right, and pasta was cooked perfectly, everything about it was just perfect. I would recommend it. Applebee's used to be my favorite place to go. Recently we have tried to start going to the one in park city and have not had good service or food. I have given it 3 chances to redeem itself. The food either comes out cold or really burnt. Waited 15-20 min to get a water, while the table next to us got their mixed drinks and food. Manager doesn't seem to pay attention to the servers and if they are tending to their tables. Might be worth the drive to Wichita for better food and service . read more

Ordered the food 1 hour in advance, It wasn't done and it wasn't done correctly. I have never seen anyone serve Chillie Fries in a paper bag but I have now. This Applebee's has ants! Twice I have ate here and saw ants on my table. Today, when we counted 4 ants we asked to be moved to another table. However, no one from management apologized to us for the disgusting pests being near our dinner. We didn't receive a discount or and incentive. Applebee's has some excellent menu items. Their 2 for $20 menu is an excellent value for a date. You receive 2 entrées and appetizer for just $20. The only thing lacking here is quick service. They often get bogged down on busy nights. read more

I went there yesterday with my parents. My dad's steak was tough. I had the tequila tango chicken and shrimp, and the chicken was burnt and the shrimp was rubbery. The sauce was a sickly greenish yellow and tasted like just sour cream and cilantro. Not appetizing. The only good thing I had was the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer. I have pretty much sworn off of corporate restaurants (except for a select few) but I received a gift certificate for Applebee's and took a chance. Biggest mistake of my life. When I got the gift certificate I was thinking about going in and having only beer and now wish that is what I had done. Our food was not good, service was okay, beer was fine. Horrible experience! For starters the restaurant was very cold and extremely dark. My mother and I stopped there after a concert at the nearby arena. We waited too long for a waitress to acknowledge us. She said she would come back to get our order and she never did. A second waitress eventually came to take our order. It took our food 45 minutes to arrive. My mother's ribs were burnt so she sent them back and asked if she could order something else. The hostess said yes, but the waitress never came back to take her order. My food was cold. I asked if they could warm it up. Again, the hostess said yes, but no one ever came to get my plates. My mother asked to speak to a manager, but after 5 minutes, she never came. Instead, we saw her and two other waitresses walking around the restaurant with the same plates. We left and drove to an Applebee's 20 minutes away at 11:30pm. To our surprise, the Wichita location on Broadway wasn't cold or dark. The service was actually really good and they didn't rush us even though we walked in late. I warn you AVOID the Park City location. Maybe they were overwhelmed...maybe they were short on employees...either way, we should've gotten better service than what we got. read more
