I'm not sure if I posted a review here or not! We happened to come across this little hole in the wall and I'd have to say it was pretty damn good. Service was good, food was good. Didn't have any alcoholic drinks so can't say anything on that. It's hard to find a good burger anymore. I'm talking a good ole fresh greasy burger hot off the grill with all the fixings! Soo disappointing. The only good food was the Mac and cheese side we had. The service was terrible coupled with over cooked food. I had fish and chips and the fish was waayyy over fried. Then the waitress tells us she brought someone else's order to our table(they must have orderedit extra crispy), my wife's Nashville chicken came 21 minutes later. Same thing her chicken was overcooked and that made it really dry. It might have had a good flavor had it not been so overcooked. The staff was friendly when you could get their attention. Today was the last straw. I have told them many times that it is illegal to charge extra for using a Debit Card and they did it AGAIN. Aside from the illegal fee that they know damn well is illegal (in all 50 states) they have also jacked up their prices again. Also, I almost never complain about a waitress but ffs She walked away from me while I was still tell Her my order and then I got up to go tell her the rest of the order so I wouldn't get something the way I didn't want it and She walks away AGAIN like gosh damn let someone finish wtf they're saying before rushing to put it in the system. Enjoyed the ambiance, the spooky Halloween decor and costumes of the wait staff; the food was good, the beer cold, and the overheard conversation of a nearby table entertaining (debating best guitarists). This was our first time here and we started with an appetizer trio, which is a combination of any three starters except nachos. We got the fried pickles - delicious, fried mushrooms - thin batter, and the jack bites - not bad. There drinks are limited on beers but almost anything you wanted on mixed drinks and cocktails. The main courses were inconsistent. The Richard dick was cooked medium well and excellent, definitely worth coming back for alone. The steak fingers were like un tenderized steak pieces wrapped in hush puppy batter. They were really dry and chewy, i would pass on this next time. Overall not a bad place to go, decent as far as bar food goes. Get there early the parking lot and indoor seating is very limited. read more

Oh my gosh, they have the macaroni and cheese specials. My favorite is definitely the spinach artichoke jalapeño macaroni and cheese with chicken. It is fabulous as as well as as the rest of their food is so good drinks are great. Service is wonderful good atmosphere very affordable. read more

So I really want to give more stars to this review, but the service was so poor I just can't....to put it into perspective....with tip which was $20 alone...I spent $150 on 3 shots of Bourbon (Blantons Gold and Pappy 12 years). My issue is not the cost...they are good prices for high end bourbon....my issue is how inattentive the service was even sitting at the main bar...not sure who runs the place but I can assure you that the lackadaisical effort (of a few not all) staff members need to find other employment or "management" does. Probably could have easily tried a couple of other bourbons...but got tired of how long it took to order. read more

We have wanted to try this for a long time. every time we came you couldnt get in it was so busy. tonight was empty. a saturday. our food came before the appetizer; none of which was good. The garlic salad was awful! Nu ways is way better. the burger was half cooked. i ordered a side salad (for $1.99) as an extra side. was charged $6 then told it was an "additional " side yet the side salad was not even listed on the menu at that price. This is definitely a need neighborhood bar. We walked in and it was full. Since there was only two of us they worked to find us a place, which they did not need to do. Pulling up this place seems like a hole in the wall rough bar. It has a unique atmosphere inside showing off tons of bottles of whiskey. They have several versions of Mac and Cheese. My wife ordered an original Mac which does come topped with a smokey tasting bacon bits. Son ordered a Mac and Cheese burger which he enjoyed with the bbq sauce. My mother in-law and myself ordered a turkey wrap with avocado which was good. The fries are good. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking to enjoy a bar atmosphere with good food. Good place to have a drink or 3. Good people to sit at the bar with and decide what whiskeys to try. Everyone has their favorite, but what's yours? We tried the high end Buffalo Traces and decided they weren't worth the money... saved us some money having to buy a bottle and try it. Did the same thing with Maker's Mark. Regular bottle stuff was better than high ended. Our taste buds just didn't get it! The mixed starter appetizer was perfect to get us through our trials and tribulations. I've attend numerous times for lunch and dinner and have always enjoyed the food quality. Usually, I have no issue with the quality of service, but I have always felt that it could be improved. However, today I was going to have lunch with two friends and was greeted by a server asking to see out IDs to ensure that we were 21. Two of us are a few years past the legal drinking age, but one friend is only 19. The server responded by saying the establishment was a bar, and everyone must be 21 to enter. If the establishment is strictly a bar, they need to add this to their door and not have it advertised as a "bar & grill." Secondly, I'm not sure of a place in Wichita that is fully segregated like this. Even places like Pumphouse, Oasis, or Monarch serves the general public up to a certain point and does not deny folks at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. read more

Cool little bar, with an outdoor patio, 1 pool table, dart board and a juke box not so bad... went for Taco Thursday. In which you can choose from fried flour or soft flour taco for $.99 a taco. I ordered 10 fried tacos to go and they nicely boxed it in an aluminum tray with a pint of sauce to go. While there I ordered 2 fried tacos and they were not bad. Definitely great place to get fried tacos. The only con was my fried tortilla was not puffy but rather flat. And I requested sour cream twice but my waitress never delivered so I just thought maybe they dont have any. My 2nd vist I ordered the grilled cheese with house fried chips. The grilled cheese was delicious but a little odd to add tomato to the grilled cheese. And some of the chips were perfectly fried but some were a tad soft. I had an interesting experience here. Only reason I happen to stumble upon this place was because my sister had purchased a Groupon deal for me. I figured today would be a great day to check it out. Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Completely dead. Walking into the place, it has a familiar feel that most divey places have. Dark and interesting decor every where. Almost feels a bit sketchy to be honest. We saw the bartender and he turned off the TV. We seated ourselves and could not find a menu in sight. I asked the man, where are your menus? He says their in the bucket. I checked and it did not have them in there. Found another bucket and found a few in there. Let's just say his attitude was... I don't really want to be here and work and very nonchalant. I found humor in it, because that's what I would imagine at any dive bar. We waited for a while after looking at the menu. I told him we were ready. His response, "We don't have waitresses here, so you'll have to come up here and order. I am the waitress bartender!" Alright... makes sense I suppose. I ordered the Richard Dick hamburger, and my friend had a cheeseburger. For drinks just Coke... which was very flat. After a while we hear him getting to work and make our food. Another guy walks in and sits up front at the bar. I over hear him talking to the bartender. "How's your Reuben sandwich?" Bartender responds, "It tastes like shit, which is why I put it on the menu!" Hahahaha... Hilarious. This guy is hilarious. Our food comes out in those red plastic trays which parchment paper. My burger was massive and the fries were very nicely seasoned. From the impression I got from this bar, I had low expectations. The food was surprisingly very good. Fries were fresh and delicious. The burger itself was huge hand formed beef. Juicy and fatty are the requirements of a good burger. This burger had it. It had BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, and another sauce I could not identify. Total came out to around 8-9 dollars with a drink. Not bad. If you want an interesting experience but have some delicious food, check this place out. read more
