Went there Last night with my husband and granddaughter. The waitress Michelle came over and took our drink order then she brought my granddaughter her drink and never came back over for approximately 20 . She finally came back over but had the wrong drinks. When we told her they were the wrong drinks she told us to just try them if you don't like them I will change them. She then finally took our order arguing with us what we wanted. My order was wrong but she argued that it was right, so I just ate it. She charged us for two ranchbl dressings and brought us one saying they put it together. Needless to say we did not enjoy ourselves one of the worst experiences ever. read more

I don't go to Applebee's often, but this one did a pretty good job last time I was there. Me and my son got a 2 for $20 (really $22.50). Mine was a sirloin steak, he got the fingers. Steak was cooked correctly. Flavor was fine, not the best ever. Chicken according to my son was fine. We ended up going outside because they had a trivia night. Trivia host was good, game was fun. The bartender, Michelle, talks about patrons after they've left the bar. I overheard her talking to another patron about a woman who had just left. Where is the professionalism?? In addition, she is LOUD and talks about herself too much. It was difficult to focus on a puzzle or text or ballgame. Michelle is extremely personable, but needs some polish. Horrible food!!! Stable bread would be heated up on the baking skillet and represented as freshly baked. And you will be charged for it! And this is when bread is served for free before dinner in majority of places. Do not order baked potato - you will get boiled/steamed one instead (why they deceive clients about it is a big mistery; is it so hard to fix baked potato? If yes, do to print the misleading information on the menu.) Steak was so-so. One thing was satisfying - manager took bread and potatoes of the total. We sat there for 20 minutes. No one approached us to take our drink order. No one even acknowledged we were there. The restaurant was not busy. We got up and left to go to Outback. As a side note, there is one female waiter, an older lady, who is rude and pushy when you're trying to order and maybe visits the table once during your meal. If I could give Applebees no stars I would! I walked up for lunch today with my Mom and grandkids & there was a dying rat on the sidewalk within 4 feet of the front door. I informed the hostess, who went to get a manager. Needless to say we didn't stay. I told the manager when he came out that we were not staying for lunch because of the rat. His response was "wow really" as he swept it into a dustpan. Man, my girlfriend and I were here, and the manager, Scott, really goes over and above. I watched him put an apron on and help his staff out when super busy. He has always been the nicest guy from the get go, but to see him help his team out was absolutely awesome. Also the bartender, Kira, is an absolute angel. She is perfect in every way, super attentive but not at all overwhelming service. It was a 10/10 and we will be making this a permanent weekly necessity because of them alone. read more

We went back to Applebee's on Sunday for our child's birthday. My wife and I ordered our new favorite at this restaurant the Asian shrimp and rice. It was not even close to the taste of the last three times we have had it. The waitress offered to add more of the sauce to the dish, it made if barely palatable. They have 3 soups listed, tomato basil, chicken tortilla and french onion. I ordered tomato basil and was told they would have to check because they usually didn't have it. Then I said well how about the chicken tortilla? Our waitress then tells me "no they didn't have that either". I asked what they had and was told I could get a salad. I've been in Sarasota for 15 days for business. This applebeas is very close to my hotel so I've come here maybe 6 or 7 times. It's been delicious each time, and the service has been really great. We went in last night & none of the food that we got was great- my friend got a Caesar salad and it had entirely too much dressing so it was soggy. They should give the person the option for how much dressing to put on it themselves. I got chicken tenders and fries- average as usual, I've had fries at other Applebee's and they were better. My boyfriend got the four cheese pasta and it had a terrible aftertaste almost like that of throw up... I had to use the bathroom and going in there my experience was entirely ruined- two of the toilets had shit in them & toilet paper all over the floor- I had to use the big stall which still was quite disgusting- the baby changing station was down and had nasty stuff all over it- and in the sink there were paper towels. I was honestly scared to touch anything in there so I used a PT to use the sink and that's probably what other people did. The waitress also didn't seem to care much about us- we had to ask her for more water because she walked by multiple times ignoring that they were all empty.
