What an amazing experience! The food, service, and ambiance were all exceptional. They offer delicious $5 Bloody Marys and $5 mimosa specials made with fresh-pressed orange juice, which were the perfect start to our meal. The homemade cheese sticks were absolutely incredible--honestly the best I've ever had! We are actually going back this week to try the crab cakes. It's another item that everybody has been raving about. We can't wait to try them! The owner is so friendly and kind, and the entire waitstaff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A small bar/restaurant located in historic downtown Venice. The menu had some really good options from wraps, burgers, to salads. I got their Hail Mary, which is a pasta dish. It was fabulous. There are a few booths with small tvs. Our waitress, Bianca, was super nice, friendly, and attentive. We are definitely going to try to go again before we leave the area. read more

They kept changing the channel to some guy shaving in a commercial and when I asked for it to go back to the tennis channel, the "owner" big Jenn lost her shit. Actually yelled at me! I'm a local who supports the bar all year round. And invited guests to our local island sports bar. That was my mistake. You know Jenn - I guess what they say is true. Cool sports bar on the main drag on the island, super pumped to have a place like this downtown! Classic sports bar vibe with a nice sized bar and soooo many TVs at every angle, the booths even have personal tv's. The owner coach rob was super friendly and came around to everyone to check in on them, giving it a real family run feel. The food was also really good! I split the Ruben and the Philly with my grandpa and we were satisfied with both. My grandma is gluten free and loved her cauliflower pizza. They are still brand new and working through some things as any new restaurant would but we will absolutely be back, especially for a game day. Went for lunch.Big guy greets us with 10.00 burgers. Came w fries, slice of tomato and small cut up pieces of lettuce. Asked for onion and a pickle. Charged 13.95 for burger and .50 for the onion and pickle. Wasn't worth the hassle. read more

The food was pretty good, I had the Ruben. It was a little greasy but tasty. The service was lacking though. Our waitress was just as nice as could be but slow. I don't think they expected to be so busy on a Monday night. And lastly, don't plan on being able to hear conversations. It is very loud inside. It would be helpful to have ceiling tiles or something to absorb the sound! All in all I'd go back maybe in the afternoon for a quick bite but probably not at night with a group. (Sadly they do not carry a variety of beer. My friend likes Amber Ale and we have had a hard finding a place that carries one.) read more

We had a wonderful experience at Coach's Bar & Grill! The fresh-squeezed orange mimosas were absolutely delicious, and the Bloody Mary was one of the best we've had. The cheese sticks were perfectly crispy, hot, and so flavorful. What really made our visit special was the owner. Being from Michigan, we loved making that connection, and he was incredibly personable and welcoming. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and creating a great atmosphere. read more

we ate here on Saturday. nice decor, plenty of TV's. all staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. started with cheeseburger egg rolls. they we very good. our meals were steak tacos and a cheesesteak along with fries and onion rings. tacos and cheesesteak were good, seasoned well so you could taste the seasoning. French fries cooked long enough to be a little crispy but soft on the inside. onion rings were frozen which takes away from the bite of the onion and makes it soft. not a fan of frozen onion rings. read more

First visit ever today. Immediately upon walking up when the door opened we knew it was going to be LOUD inside and it was. This place could use some sound dampening material on the ceiling. Coach's is a lively sports bar with TVs everywhere. The owners are from Maryland and their crab cakes are phenomenal, no filler at all, packed with crab meat! Just left the restaurant and had the worst dining experience in recent memory. The service was slow and the food was not good. Strike one: my husband ordered a draft beer, but a bottle was given and the waitress said they were out of draft? But we saw the bartender later pouring what he ordered. Strike two: two appetizers were ordered and only one came out. We asked about the appetizer and the waitress said she forgot to put it in. Strike three- we ordered a medium well burger and it came medium rare. The waitress took it back then she brought the same burger back partially burnt. Strike four- we ordered Pinot Grigio and it did not taste right. It tasted like it was skunked or we received the wrong wine. We shared our bad experience with the manager, Brooke. She took off the wine but didn't do anything else to make it right. We will not be going back. We were so hoping it would be a spot we would love. Back to Bogeys - a good sports bar. read more
