The restaurant is typically a pretty clean sports bar with unique decor. Each booth has its own small TV, along with large TVs all around the restaurant. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The service is usually good, and this time it was especially friendly. We started with the fried pickle fries, which were amazing--perfectly crispy while still tasting nice and pickly. I didn't love the sauce that came with them though, since it was very runny. We also ordered the house-made chips, which were really good. The chips were cooked perfectly, and all the toppings really elevated them. I got the fish and chips with tater tots, and everything was great. Looking for a place that had a decent Cobb salad and they had one on the menu. Atmosphere is similar to any sports bar. Nothing to write home about but not bad. Server was a little late getting to us but once she was there it was fine. Ordered the balsamic blue cheese chips. They were good although I felt that they should've been served warm. The bartender 'Katelyn' seemed to know every customer that walked in! Despite being an out of towner, I felt very welcomed and even found commonalities with Katelyn through our conversations (Let's Go Buccos!!). We ate at this location and I would say the inside is comfy and the outside patio is chill. I had a chicken sandwich and chili. Went to Gecko's after the beach. I had been to a different location and really enjoyed it. This location seemed more sports themed, but it was nice. The service wasn't nearly as good as the other time I had been to Gecko's but it didn't ruin the night. It felt like we were an inconvenience. The food, however, was quite good. The serving sizes were great and the food, I thought, was really good for this type of restaurant. I wish the service was better, but that is server based. Wife and I stopped in for lunch. Her exact words "this may be the best blackened chicken I have ever had." She got the Cajun chicken pita, with the sauce on the side and no cheese to save calories. No sauce needed this is a great pita. I also agree with her I got a basic blackened chicken sandwich and the breast is flavored great and juicy... this sandwich makes me mad because I need to step up my own blackened chicken sandwich that I make at home. We both agree we need to come here more often and plan to. Staff is solid service was quick and I never had to ask to have my iced tea refilled.
