I ordered what i always used to order, the smothered chicken. when it came out i noticed it smelled spicy, which i quickly learned to trust your nose because it was spicy and gross! i'm not sure what seasonings they put on it but it was so heavy i was literally scraping seasoning off my chicken. and the shrimp on top of the chicken looked a little transparent still, if you know how to cook shrimp you know, it's done when it's not see through anymore. and i was fully expecting some questions after we told the waitress our order but she didn't ask anything. like how we wanted our food or what sides or anything. read more

We go there somewhat often with a group of 15-25 for lunch on a Thursday. They are great! Service is always top notch (Kudos to Amy!) Food is good and prompt and a good value. The one star is generous! We were traveling through and the reviews made it seem like a good option on this exit. We all like Applebees so we decided to stop. The hostesses were very friendly and welcoming but after that...they seated us next to a bucket catching water from a ceiling that had damage. No one should have been sitting there and especially so close to an active leak. Then the waitress came by and she was awful! She didn't get anything right-our drinks or our food. My son ordered soup and he had to ask for it twice. It took forever for our food and the waitress said it was because they were short staffed which we can understand and would have been fine with if she refilled our drinks or checked on us. When it did come out, my steak was undercooked. My husbands chicken was not great and the soup was cold. There were plenty of wait staff but the one with us never came by and I finally had to flag her down for the check. Applebee's is one of the few sit down restaurants that we have in my small home town. I've been here a few times throughout the years, always decent experiences. To me they seemed to have improved over the years, food wise and service wise. I'm glad that they don't have smoking in the restaurant anymore, which can always make a difference in the environment. I like to normally order the Quesadilla Burger, a not so average burger that consists of cheese, pico de Gallo, Mexi-ranch, and instead of a bun, it's a tortilla which gives a spin off a normal burger. The side is seasoned fries. This meal always tastes delicious and super flavorful, even though it's really messy. I guess I had a new server this last time, as when I tried to order breadsticks with Alfredo sauce she didn't know what I was talking about. I told her I ordered it online from my work a week ago, and she acted like it was an online only thing, which I'm not sure about but I'm positive i would have been able to order it at the restaurant. 10th of August. There was one party in the corner and another couple in the restaurant when we got there at 2:50 pm. They got our drink order pretty quick. Told the waitress we were there to celebrate a birthday. She came back with drinks and took our order. We waited 30 minutes for a meal that should have only taken a few minutes. We had the boneless chicken wings. All you can eat. After a half hour someone else delivered out meal. Not the waitress we had. The wings were not hot but I didn't want to wait any longer. We were hungry. After finishing the meal in a few minutes I waited to her to come back and place another order. Our waitress came back and placed my other order and we waited. And waited, And waited. She came back a half hour later to ask how the second plate of wings were. I told her I never received them. She seemed surprised. She knows she didn't deliver them. My sister finished a Mud slide I got her for her birthday and we didn't see the waitress for another 20 minutes. I guess the floor manager came over and wanted to put that order in for me again and I said no. She took off my order of wings from the bill but I believe they should have credited me the whole bill. Terrible experience. I will never go back there again. By the time we left it was 1 1/2 hours later. For chicken wings and Mud slide. Also, the waitress said she would deliver a little birthday sundae to my sister that she never received. By the way, my sister is Mentally challenged and I felt so bad that she have a bad experience at this Applebee's location. Never again. The food is good. It is the service. We've ate there many times and the bar area is always the same, poor attitude. Today the bar waitress tossed our receipt at the table, took plates, and slammed the door to the kitchen. Maybe it was something else, I tipped $5 which is what we typically do for dinner there. It felt like it was aimed at us but 5 bucks isn't a terrible tip. I'm starting to think about not going any more as it tends to be a hassle in the end. read more

This is the worst Applebees my family and I have ever visited. We felt we were singled out because of the color of our skin. We were seated right of way, but after being seated we waited over 35 minutes and never got acknowledged. We were never spoken to, never given even a glass of water. One of the waitresses pass our table and made eye contact four times. Of the four times she helped the other two tables next to us she never acknowledged we were there, not even a "someone will be right with you". I have never felt so ignored and mistreated before. Great job for this Applebee's!! The reason I didn't give 5 stars was the slow start. Took forever for someone to greet me...well besides the guy who seated me. Chole, my server, just stopped to ask if I'd been waited on. I told her no and she said just a minute. She quickly came back and said she was going to be my server, so and so was doing something, I didn't really hear what she said. From that point it was great. She got my drink refilled without me having to ask. Took my order, answered my question and made me feel like I was the most important customer in the building. The Chicken Fajita was really good. The Mozzarella sticks were warm a gooey, just like they should be!! She quietly and nonchalantly took my empty glass off the table and brought me napkins just when I was looking for her to ask for some. Definitely recommend this place!! We pulled right up to get our food to-go, and once we placed our order, it only took about 5 minutes for Riley, our server, to bring it out to us. He brought attentiveness, and a smile! Ordered curb side to go. Arrived at the time we were given only to get a phone call saying they didn't have the ingredients for a sandwich we had ordered. The ranch that came with our boneless wings tasted like spoiled cream cheese frosting and not ranch. My chicken fajita rollup was all tortilla and lettuce, very little chicken. This is all coming from my experience from working here as my first job. Lesson learned, don't work at applebees if you are looking for your first job. I quit 4 months in due to many issues. I needed to focus on school and the way the GM made work life was not healthing for anyone's mental health. If you are looking for a job that will pay decent money then this isn't it. Hosts made about $4.80 ish an hour and some tips from the waiters which could be anything from $5 to $30. Most customers would have complaints of not getting the right food order, the food was cold, GM was rude, and this is all due to a lack of communication that can not be fixed by just one person but all and not very many people put in their best efforts. Don't get me wrong, some of the employees there love working and communicating with customers the best they can to make sure you have a pleasant experience but there are some things that went on that should never be happening. As I was reading some of the reviews made by customers it saddens me to hear you guys not having a great experience due to a mistake that could've easily been fixed or prevented. I will be completely honest with what I saw not only in the dining area but also in the kitchen. Most cooks use their hands without gloves on a lot of the food. That's pretty unsanitary if you ask me. I dont know how many times I saw a bug in the ice machine that probably wasnt cleaned out at much as it should've been. Some of the cooks even came in high or walked out back and around the building smoking the unmentionable. When I went in for my first interview the GM "Scott" had told me that no 16 year old deserves a job there but if none of us had applied there then there would be no hosts/hostesses. Scott is not only rude but he is sexists and does not listen to what anyone else has to say. I was told many times by other managers to ignore what he says and do what I think is right. He fired one of the employees because a customer heard her say that she didnt like working there. On my last day he told me to do my cut work (clean up before we clock off) and not even 2 minutes later he came out to ask if I was done and I said I still need to wipe off some tables and hes said in a very stern aggravated voice "get off my clock now". Scott also complained about me staying after waiting for my ride to there when I had to wake my father up to come get me. We live a good 20 minutes out of town so it was inevitable that it would take a bit for him to come get me. One other thing that happened on the last day was that he said I was "too close" to the service manager and it was considered "sexual harassment" on my behalf because I was younger than him. Many of the coworkers were very comfortable around the service manager and for a good reason... he was actually a good manager and cared about the customers and the employees. Maybe Scott was too incompetent but it was uncalled for. After only I think a month and a half another girl came in for orientation and he made her work with the rest of us even though she had not been in training or in uniform. A little further into me working I received a very inappropriate picture from a coworker and had brought it up to the managers but they didnt nothing about it. I asked to not be scheduled with him because I wasnt comfortable around him and she did it anyway. Her reason was "I can't just not schedule you guys together". Someone could've easily taken my shift or his because there were plenty of us to choose from. That coworker did not get a warning or fired because of harassment but instead got fired weeks later because he failed to show up to work. I hope you have a better experience than other guests if you decide to go there. read more

I ordered car side to go about 3 months ago and made the mistake of driving off without checking my order. I got home and was missing several items and I called me asked to speak with the manager and explained that I did not receive half of what I ordered and asked her to remove the charges of what I did not receive. She said that she could not do that and would send a giftcard. 3 months later, still no giftcard. So if you want these people to steal from you and issue no refund, go ahead and order car side to go at your own risk. read more

I love the small hometown feel of this particular Applebee's. Your first time there your sever/bartender and even the managers will greet you and introduce themselves to you, ask your name and give you their name. And the next time you come in they will remember who you are, not just your name but something specific (such as food/drink order, etc...) from the last time you dined with them. Food was cold but I decided not to say anything.. not that I could; she never asked. I was hoping to order dessert, but I couldn't get a word in as she dropped off my check and walked away. The 2 for 20 deal seems to make the pricing a bit better if your looking for a deal. This experience was not like the past. My wife and child's burger both were served without any toppings. They were not dressed per the menu description. The waitress did fix the problem. Besides that both burger buns were very hard. The Cesar salads were cold and good size portion. Good cheese sticks. My chicken pasta was flavorful and a good portion. The pasta was cooked just right. I noticed a manager asking other tables if everything was OK, however missed our table this time. Service was decent and it was fairly clean. I'll only give 3 stars this time, due to the fact 2 issues were passed through 2 diffrent people and not caught. The hostess and waitress (Olivia) were great! Very friendly. However, they cannot cook a steak to save their lives here. Ordered it medium, came out very obviously rare. Sent it back and it came back shorty after, still rare, though maybe slightly more cooked. They made us cut into it twice to make sure it really wasn't done how we liked it. So now we send it back with three big slices in it. It comes back out, maybe medium rare this time. It still had spots where it was purple inside. The manager came out this time and asked if it was OK. We said no not really. She said she didn't know what we wanted as the steak was now medium well and we just didn't know what a steak was supposed to look like. She was so incredibly rude and condescending, I couldn't believe it. She showed us their "steak card" which proved us completely correct and she literally just left without saying anything. The worst service, the worst food and the worst person you have to deal with about a bad meal. First order online and at this location. I placed a 60 dollar online order today at 4:10 pm. Ready by 4:30. Wife picked up. She pulled in driveway not knowing what was on order. I finally got text pic to her then after finally receiving email. Shev realized missing tea. She called told them ok call if anything else bad. Pulled everything out. Here is all the bad. Missing mozzarella sticks, missing mashed potatoes, missing salad, missing tea, 2 orders of fries so cold and grease withered mcdonalds would even be embarrassed. Full rack of ribs so dry that my dog ate the first one and he ran over and drank so much water he threw it back up. 2 orders of red potatoes that were so over warmed they were squishy instead of crispy. A burger so dry looking, I wouldn't even take a bite. The only good thing we had as of right now were 4 chicken wontons. But they were just eatin and haven't passed yet. There remedy was bring it back and wait another 20 mins again and trust them that they can do it right the second time around. Wife went back and is trying to return food for a full refund only. My family and I have eaten here many occasions, unfortunately this will be the last time. Food was good, server was fun and very attentive. However my experience with a manager Christina was very troubling to me. My husband who is handicapped from Multiple Sclerosis accidentally backed into another patron's car, we went back into the restaurant to find the owner of the car. No help from any employee or manager, I walked from table to table asking who owned this vehicle. I asked the hostess if she could copy my husbands drivers license and insurance card for the lady who's car we hit. She went back to see if she could and came back with a pen and paper and said she could not copy. Still no manager came to see if we needed any assistance, or check to see if anyone was hurt. Matter of fact she walked up to where we were and hugged someone she knew and never said a word to us or the lady who's car we hit. The lady was on the phone talking with her employer because it was a company car, I then asked the bartender if she could turn the music down so she could here her phone conversation. ( Still nothing) I then saw the manager Christina and asked her myself, all she said was no because it would turn the music off for the entire restaurant and she stated she turned it down then walked away. Christina still never checked to see if we needed the police, if anyone was hurt, or try to move us to a spot where a speaker wasn't above our heads, all was said she already turned it down, if she turned the music down we could not even notice any adjustments in volume. We didn't go outside to handle our business because temperatures outside was only 21 degrees, so we were left standing in the front foyer area directly under a speaker. The lady who's car we hit kept having to repeat herself and kept asking the person on the other end to repeat the questions that were being asked. The entire restaurant had about 8 tables, not that busy. With all this being said I happen to be FOH Manager at a high volume restaurant. I am in awe that not one bit of concern was taken by Christina for her guest. I will be contacting corporate as well about Christina's lack of care or concern. My very first response would been to find out if anyone was hurt, then what can I do to help you.
