I called and spoke with the owner about an issue and got a lot of attitude and he was outright disrespectful. Think twice about working with this company. If you do, watch everything and make sure your contract is buttoned up. They will say they are grinding the stump and when the tree grindings evaporate you may still have a stump underneath. They do things very fast - they're a quantity type of company not quality. Take lots of pictures and videos. Better yet, get someone that has good reviews and will take care of you if something goes wrong.

Within an hour they had a whole crew in our backyard working to remove the trees. We watched guys climb into the tree canopy and work diligently to cut the trees down. It was an impressive and efficient removal! Both trees fell exactly where they said they would. Before the started they took down part of our fence so the tree didn't destroy it. On or around Jan 15th, Backyard Mgmt was hired to Grade, "Remove the OLD Dirt" (which this area ALSO included Lava rocks) and hauled away. BYM knew this BEFORE starting the job because that was my "sole purpose" of hiring them in the first place so that when Spring & Summer came around I could cut the entire lawn with ease; WITHOUT TEARING UP my lawn mower when cutting over the area. They charged me $700 for the job. On March 27th, 2022 - I sent a text (as per my previous communication method with "Alberto") to inform him of this issue. He ignored me and never responded. I followed up with a phone call/vmail. Again, "no response". An email was sent to Gabriella today, as of now...NO RESPONSE BACK. They smoothed the dirt without removing it. Covered it with grass seeds and pat it down covering it with straw. Now, bc of their sloppiness (cutting corners), I've got to have the worst yard in the neighborhood with 2 types of GRASS. Any fool can see that my lawn is Bermuda NOT FESCUE! I want them to GET THESE LAVA ROCKS OUT OF HERE and redo the job RIGHT! OR GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY and I'll hire someone to do it the professional way. It's April 2022 and I'm stuck with Fescue Grass, Lava Rocks with a HUGE bare dirt hole in the center. Lang McLeod, the owner, was a referral from a good friend of mine who had used Morning Dew for a project in his yard. Seeing the quality work they had done in my friend's yard, I reached out to Lang shortly thereafter to schedule a site visit / walkaround so we could talk through the work we wanted them to quote. From that point forward, I knew we had made the right decision in working with Morning Dew Landscapes. It was an overall highly positive experience. To my wife and I, one of the most critical aspects of working with a contractor is, clear, consistent, and timely communication. The alternative to that makes for a frustrating, often upsetting experience. Thankfully, Lang is an effective communicator and is timely with his responses. That alone made for smooth sailing throughout the process, starting with the site visit and continuing through the price quote, scheduling of the work, and completion of the project (which included a couple of "pivots" along the way). Lang's knowledge of local flora and how/where to place it, and care for it once planted, was invaluable. The entire job, which I had assumed would take weeks, was done in 4 days! It took them 2 days to do the entire landscape project, and then came the "pivot" once it was done.... my wife and I decided it was worth the money to go ahead and install an irrigation system to protect our sizable investment. They were back out at our house the next day, carefully lifting the sod they had laid the day before to install the irrigation components. At no time did I witness any cutting of corners or lack of professionalism from the subcontractors Lang had assigned to the job. Everyone was great to deal with, knowledgeable, professional, and clearly committed to delivering a quality end result. We are thrilled with the outcome, and will hire Morning Dew Landscapes to do work for us in the future, starting in a couple of months with some limbing up of trees and trimming of some bushes that we've let get out of control over the years! This was a big job involving the removal of around 20 huge, tall pine trees, surrounding my residence and my neighbor's residence in an efficient and professional manner without mishap of any kind. The effort required great skill on the part of workers to avoid damage to the residences and involves the use of a large crane to remove some of the trees. Went over what we were doing again. Once they got here they did exactly what Alex told me. They used ropes around the tree so the branches would not go into my neighbor's yard. They cut down branches and half the tree which, now I can have more sun in my backyard. Also removed two smaller trees that were ruining my grass. So very excited about the job that they have done and I would refer them. I would definitely use them again.
