Great Service. Removed old Dacor microwave/oven combination (separate units) and installed a KitchenAid mircowave/oven combination (single unit) that was extremely heavy. Installation looks excellent. Price for installation was very reasonable. I was expecting it to be higher. Both service members were polite and careful moving stuff around in our kitchen. These are the facts about my experience with Appliance Company. I have a combination stove/microwave oven. My microwave oven broke. The stove was fine. I made an appointment with Appliance Company to have someone come out and fix it. The earliest they said that they could get a technician to come out was 1 week from then. One week later, the technician arrived a little late and fixed the microwave for $300. The next day we discovered that the stove was now not working. I called the Appliance Company and told them what happened. They said it would be 2 weeks before a technician could come back to fix what he broke. I asked to speak with the manager as this was not acceptable. The manager called and said she would send another technician out the next day. He came out the next day and replaced the 'mother' board which evidently the first technician had broken for another $175. We turned on the oven the next day and with it set for 350 degrees it started to heat up and then stopped at about 275 degrees. I called the Appliance Company and told them the new issue and they said they would call me back that day. The next morning they called and said that the technician would not 'be in the area' for another 2 weeks. I said this was not ok and was told, in essence, 'tough', it would definitely be 2 weeks before they would fix what they had broken. I had paid $475 already and had a broken stove not my fault but theirs. These are the facts - you decide if you want to hire the Appliance Company. I would not recommend them. read more

Appliance Company came to my house for a home warranty repair. My dishwasher wasn't working. Their only hours are Monday to Friday, when the average homeowner is at work. I've had 5 service calls with my home warranty and 3 out of 5 offered Saturday service - not Appliance Company. I made my first appointment and had a relative drive up from the Bay Area to meet the technician inside my house, from the hours of 9am to 1pm. That's a huge window of time. He diagnosed the problem and did not have the part - this was early in the morning and rather than get the part and come back, the technician said I would have to reschedule and have him come back on another day. About a week later, I had yet another appointment and luckily had a friend in town who was able to work from home and brought his laptop over to "house sit" and stay at my place from 1pm to 5pm. Again, a 4 long hour window. Apparently, the technician gets there and realizes the part for my dishwasher was not in his vehicle, and rather than drive back and come back with it, he states that I need to reschedule it AGAIN!!!! Not only that, when I tried to explain to the woman on the phone that I needed some flexible date options because I needed to ask someone to be at my house, she gave me an attitude and stated, "I am calling all of the customers now and scheduling their appointments so I can't guarantee you any time slot if you end up calling back in an hour to tell me someone can be there on a certain day." Oh thanks, at Appliance Company, the customer can be inconvenienced! Meanwhile, Appliance Company goes and cashes the check I wrote for $65.00. Thanks for that!!! Anywho, THEN I get a call back a week later (going on 3 weeks now) asking to reschedule and I am offered an appointment from 9am to 1pm. Once again, I have to ask around for someone to house sit, because losing 5 hours of work for me is not an option I want to entertain. I paid a friend of mine to come out and house sit - AGAIN - in hopes that the dishwasher will be fixed. Long and behold, it is finally working; however, the next time I need an appliance repair, I will ask my home warranty company to not use Appliance Company - thankfully, there are a few multiple options available. read more

A phone call was made and the secretary said she and the technician called our phone multiple times to advise us the technician was on his way. We never received a call. She flat out lied! And when I called this secretary out on her lie, she hung up on me. The problem was that the micro wave turned on, the timer and all the other buttons worked, but there was no HEAT! Took months to ever get this company to repair my lower oven. After taking $162. Of our money claiming to repair our lower oven, it stopped working immediately...resulting in them not retuning to repair even after numerous phone calls for 6 months. I finally had to call another company to correctly complete our repairs. BTW, this company denied my numerous requests for a refund on the money they took from me originally.......... I have a home warranty with American Home Shield. I have only used them for one claim for a trash compacter. They assigned Appliance Company. I was charge $75 for a service call. That was fine. It took at least 6 home visits and more than 8 weeks to fix. The trash compacter stopped working again but it had been 64 days since the last visit. They only guarantee there repair service for 60 days. So even though the work they did didn't last and they took months to fix it they want to charge me $75 again I would never recommend them and if American Home Shield ask for another one. Staff was nice but seems like they spent more in gas and for the $150 and time I would have just bought a new one. read more

A week after our AC went out, our washing machine decided to do the same. On a Friday. As I'm doing laundry for the next week. Awesome. And of course, you only know its not working if you're trying to use it. It was making a weird grinding sound and the agitator wasn't spinning. Since it wasn't exactly an emergency, I waited until Monday to call. They were able to set up an appointment for Tuesday when my fiance was going to be home. The person I spoke with took down all my info, identified the appointment window, and the name of the technician. I like that companies are starting to do that. Makes me feel more at ease that the stranger at my door is supposed to be there. Anyway, fiance got called for jury duty (ugh), so I had to reschedule for today (Friday). About half an hour before my appointment window, I got a call explaining that they would need to push back my appointment because one of the techs called in sick. Not convenient, especially since I had people coming over later that afternoon, but I really did appreciate the heads up. Jeff arrived within that first hour of my appointment window (which was still within my original appointment window). He was able to diagnose the problem within about 10 minutes, explained what was wrong, showed me price of replacement, got the part from his truck, and got to work. And then he checked it to make sure it was working properly after he was done. He even explained to me the importance of cleaning my dryer vent, explained pricing through their company for the service, and also how to do it myself. All in all, it took about 30 minutes for the diagnosis and repair of the washer, and the dryer cleaning demonstration. And those people that I was expecting...my parents...they arrived while Jeff was still here. After he left, they commented on what a nice and helpful person he was. Only paid for copay for first visit because we have insurance on all appliance repair through AHS. Pleasant, on time and really knew how this crazy thing works. Our washing machine started to make an AWFUL noise. Our friend/neighbor recommended this company as they had fixed his refrigerator. I called Monday morning and they sent Jeff out Monday night. My 2-year-old LG fridge was making noises and leaking fluids. I made an appointment with "Appliance Company" (A.K.A. "Folsom Appliance Repair Company") to come out Friday, March 8th. I was given a 2 to 6 PM appointment range. I called in about 3 that afternoon to ask if I could be moved up on the list. Although repairing our fridge was important, I had a sick family member who desperately needed my help elsewhere. I was told they cannot move anyone around on the list. I agreed to wait for the technician. I waited until 5 minutes to 6 and called the Appliance Company again. My call went to voice-mail and I asked for a call-back to confirm the tech was still coming. That call never came. The tech never showed. I called Appliance Company on Monday to ask why the tech was a no-show. They say he ran over and called to cancel. I was in my home, next to the phone. It never rang, nor was there a message. Perhaps he had a wrong number. Perhaps he mis-dialed. He COULD have called his office and confirmed the number to make sure someone notified us. He COULD have dialed is a second time. The company COULD have called us to reschedule. They did none of this. Appliance Company felt the single technician attempt was sufficient ... and no need for the office to call. Unacceptable. read more

Well after using this company a couple of times and was pleased I will no longer be using this company. I was treated extrememly rudely by the female that now answers their phones and she ended up hanging up on me. She answers the phone "Appliance Company Hold!" in a very rude voice and then you sit on hold forever. When she comes back on the line, she is extremely rude and irriated that you are calling. I asked her about servicing my Miele washer which they had seviced before and she just rudely stated that they no longer service Miele. When I questioned why and tried to discuss it with her stating that they had serviced it before, she didn't want any part of that and she hung up on me. She has absolutely no phone skills or customer service skills. I called back and left a voicemail asking to speak to the owner. I also messaged the owner (Dan) on yelp to give him a chance to make this right and I never heard back from him. I tried calling again a week later and got the same B_ that answsered the phone the same way and again put me on hold forever until I hung up. Owning a business myself for years, I know how important it is to have whomever interacts with the customer, especially at that first contact, to be professional and courteous as they are the first impression of your business. Well now Appliance Company has lost my business for good. I just don't deal with rude people and a business that doesn't care about the customer. I caught Dan in the early stages of him starting his business where he might have cared but clearly he no longer does. Not really impressed with this company. I called this company for my Kenmore gas dryer problem. Dryer was running good but no heat. I had checked a few possible causes and part price before I made a service call. Dispatch was $60 and if I decide to fix, they should wave the dispatch cost. Tech found out dryer thermal fuse went bad. And told me $179 for everything. which included $60 dispatch. I was curios how much they change for the part and installation cos I knew the part was about $10. Tech told me dispatch charge was $60 and $119 was part cost. I said $119 for $10 part a lot more than what I willing to pay. When he found out that I know the part cost, he told me $119 is also includes his service/knowledge to fix the problem. ( He was not very happy and voice tone changed from this point.. lol ) Basically the equation was $60 for dispatch & diagnosis $10 for the fuse $110 for the service/knowledge fee ? ( anyone know what the hack is knowledge fee ?? ) Replacing fuse takes about 10 mins. Most of this work is opening back panel. however, back panel was already opened for the diagnosis. All he had to do was pop old fuse out and put the new one... I did not want to deal with not honest company any more. I just paid $60 for dispatch. I bought a new fuse for $19 ( retail ) and replaced it by myself. It only took me 10 mins. ( including cleaning... ) I guess I really need to do my homework.. here is the tips. 1. check google and find out the usual cause of your symptom. 2. check part price. eHow and Sears gives pretty good idea read more

This review should be a zero star. We had our oven serviced by this company about 3 months ago. We have an antique wedgwood in one of homes that we are not currently living in due to the fact we are having a lot of construction work done on it. We were informed that they had taken some parts back to their office with them. Why they did this, I have no idea, however they proceeded to throw the parts away when THEY decided THEY couldn't fix our oven. These parts are irreplaceable. Our refrigerator/freezer stopped being cold and things were melting fast. The receptionist was very nice, helpful, and professional. The owner, Dan Matteson, was at my house in less than two hours and had it all working an hour later. He had found that a the circuit board had gone bad, but was able to repair it with a soldering iron. He also cleaned the condenser which had never been done in ten years. Sacramento Appliance Repair, aka: Appliance Company I called for service, I asked if they were a factory authorized Bosch dealer, she said yes, ha... and they were booked for 2 weeks, before anyone could come to diagnose the problem. When the 2 servicemen came out they did not even know how to plug in the machine, not very knowledgable, then it was a $500.00 part and they had it in stock, another week and no phone call I had to call for an appointment, the part was not in, I said yes it was, oh let me call you back, got a call the part was in, another week, the 2 servicemen put in the part and it still didn't work, oh they needed to replace the pump for another $250.00, with no guarantee of it working, $750.00 on a 20 year old machine, we would have to think about it. Then the owners wife called, "we want to have the owner come out and check it and see what the problem is", and said if we don't have it fixed could they have the machine, for training and maybe sell it, and she said "if the guys couldn't fix it they should have told us", ah yea... The owner came to look at it, he was on the phone when he arrived and stayed on for 3-4 minutes, I waited, told him we were not going to have him fix an old machine and he could take his part and have the machine, that's when things got weird, he had an attitude right away, I called him out on it and said why do you have an attitude, he said, your weird lady and started yelling at me, till I call my husband over to finish the transaction, I said get out and do not take the machine and he said never call us again, REALLY, why would EVER call your incompetent company again, BEWARE!!! read more
