    As we were beginning our kitchen renovation journey, we ordered new appliances in February 2021. (Do the math, it was during the pandemic) While we ended up waiting 12-18 months for delivery, it was absolutely worth the wait. The selection and service at AC was beyond excellent! We went in with one thing in mind and came out with something different, but absolutely perfect. I need to sing Melanie's praises, her product knowledge is Level 10++. I was so grateful for her expertise. If you go, make sure that you get on HER schedule. With the different appliances, there were 3 different deliveries and 2 different installers. Every member of those teams were friendly, professional and patient with the lady who was overjoyed to get the new goodies! Appliance Connection is family/locally owned and that makes a huge difference. They have a team that is invested in their success and make sure that their customers are happy.     I found myself here after a genius idea that I wanted to research the options and likelihood of replace the countertop grill that I currently have. I walked in and was greeted by Elijah. I brought him up to speed on my genius idea and he broke the bad news to me that the model have now has been discontinued. In addition to that, the newer models have a totally different face then the one I have now, which also means it would look totally different on my countertop. He did reassure me that they are able to install the a newer version as well as offer an warranty. I advised him that I wanted to check Bray & Scarff as well before I made a decision. In good salesmen fashion, Elijah went over the benefits of getting the item from AP instead of one of their competitors. With no preconceived notions in mind, I was happy to have run into Elijah. He was very helpful and informative and made sure I left with his business card in hand so if and when I am ready to proceed, I can reach out to him direct!y. Talk about good customer service! Headed to AP? Ask for Elijah!!!

    Our fantastic washer and dryer, finally installed!

    Most of the time we come to Yelp to share our great--and not so great--experiences with businesses. But this time I need to tattle on myself as a not-so-stellar customer to show how fantastic Appliance Connection really is. Our realtor strongly recommended Appliance Connection when we needed to buy a new washer and dryer. (Several of our friends in the area also echoed their great experiences.) I took some measurements for the laundry room, as I was concerned about how small it was, and I headed to the store to see what my options would be. They showed me a few of the smaller and stacking washers and dryers that they said would fit the existing space and printed out some quotes that I could show to my husband. However, my husband "re-measured" the room and told me my measurements were off. He insisted that we would be able to fit a full-sized washer and dryer side by side in the room. So off we went back to Appliance Connection to meet with Chris and pick out a washer and dryer set. Chris was really fantastic and super informative about our options. He helped us pick out a really nice front-loader set and we were very happy with the sales experience there. This is the point, dear readers, where I'm sure we became a thorn in Appliance Connection's side. Since neither my husband nor I would be home for the installation, my mother-in-law was there for what should have been a simple delivery. But--as I'm sure you've already guessed--the washer and dryer didn't fit based on the "new" measurements. Appliance Connection was still amazing. They took back that washer and dryer. They offered to set up an appointment to have the room measured for us, but my husband said he could do it and measured the room again. He returned to the store with the updated measurements to see what else he could find to fit the space. He worked with them to find a really nice top-loader set that wasn't as deep as the front-loaders. Appliance Connection refunded the difference between the sets, since the new one was less expensive, and set up a delivery date. But our comedy of errors was not over. I couldn't be there for the second delivery, but again, there wasn't enough depth in the room for the needed dryer hookup space. They brought the washer and dryer back to the facility until we could figure out what we wanted to do. Not about to try to order a third set, I called a contractor friend to come look at the room and I showed him the dimensions for the washer and dryer. He said we could take out part of the wall and molding to have enough space. He connected us with one of his friends who spent 14 hours reconstructing the room to be an exact fit for the washer and dryer. We settled on another appointment with Appliance Connection. I'm sure they were way beyond over us at this point, but they were always so friendly, helpful, and professional with every call. I was terrified that something would go wrong with the final delivery, but David did a great job getting everything installed with his coworker. They ran both of them through a cycle to be sure everything worked properly and made sure we had all the paperwork. If I ever need any appliances again, I will 100% go back to Appliance Connection. They went above and beyond every step of the way to make sure we could get our washer and dryer. (However, next time we need an appliance, I know not to trust ourselves to do the measurements!)

    Damage

    Purchased most expensive washer and dryer set. Salesperson did not advise on additional costs involved with shipping and installation (no power cord!). Shipping was heavily delayed and impossible to predict (unreasonably long delay). Canceled washer order. Product arrived damaged and non-functioning (water stains on back and bent frame). Company has advised me to return on my own or exercise my warranty with the manufacturer. They simply do not care and are uncooperative. Appliances Connection failed on all fronts. They are connected with Goedeker's, so do your research.

I purchased a stove from this store and have been dealing with issues for FOUR months. The original unit's oven did not work properly, and after months of back and forth, they replaced it , but I had to PAY EXTRA for the "new open box" unit. This was not a free replacement. When the replacement was installed, the installer tested it and said the stovetop wasn't getting hot because it had been sitting out in the cold for a long time. I was told that if I had any issues, to call the store. The stove never worked properly. When I called, I was then told they would charge me to send someone out to look at it, even though it was just installed and I was following their own instructions. I even had to physically drive to the store because they were not answering calls. While I was there, I overheard the manager say, "I'm going to take my time and eat my lunch, she can wait." After four months of ongoing issues, that level of unprofessionalism was shocking. Instead of taking responsibility or even inspecting their own installation, I was told it was "my issue." After months of stress, paying extra for a replacement, and still not having a working stove, I asked them to pick it up and refund my money. I paid for a working appliance. Instead, I experienced months of inconvenience, additional charges, and dismissive service. I would not recommend doing business here.

    Purchasing a TV from Best Buy, especially the Woodbridge branch, has been, by far, the worst…read moreshopping experience of my life! On May 22nd, my wife and I purchased a Sony Bravia 98" TV bundled with a Bravia 9 soundbar, subwoofer, and rear speakers. The total came to around $6,600, including delivery, handling, installation, audio setup, and calibration. At the time of purchase, the employee who helped us, Kile Kirk, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We later found out he was a regional manager! We explained clearly that we live in a 4-level townhouse and that the home theater would be installed in our 4th-floor loft. At no point did he mention that there could be any issue delivering or moving the TV upstairs. Everything seemed perfect. We were excited and eagerly waiting for the delivery scheduled for June 6th. Then came the nightmare! On the night of June 5th, literally one day before delivery, we received a call from Best Buy informing us that they could not fulfill the delivery because they "believed" the 98" TV would not fit through the stairway and that it would be "impossible" to move it to the 4th floor. I explained multiple times that we had already measured everything ourselves and were confident there would be no issue. I also reminded them that during the purchase process we had fully explained our home layout to Kile, and nobody mentioned any concern whatsoever! I even suggested they send someone to inspect and measure the stairway before making assumptions.They refused! The representative repeatedly insisted they would not send anyone and would not even attempt the delivery. Instead, they offered two ridiculous options: 1. Exchange the 98" TV for an 85" or smaller model. 2. Have the TV dropped off on the first floor and hire a third-party moving company at our own expense to move it upstairs. The second option made absolutely no sense! If the job is supposedly "impossible" and the TV definitely cannot fit through the stairway, without them ever taking measurements, then how could a third-party company magically do it? Either it fits or it doesn't! After the call, I immediately contacted two professional moving companies. One of them sent someone to our home that same evening, to inspect and measure everything in person. His response? "This is an easy job." He said it would only require two movers and there would be absolutely no issue getting the TV to the 4th floor. The quote was $350. The second moving company reviewed photos and measurements of our stairway I sent them and said exactly the same thing! So what's really going on here? To me, it feels like Best Buy, especially this branch, either lacks commitment to fulfilling deliveries properly or uses selling tactics to convince customers to downgrade to smaller TVs! But the situation somehow got even worse! On June 6th, the actual delivery date, they completely canceled the delivery without notifying us! My wife and I were furious, so we went directly to the store and asked to speak with a manager. I believe his name was Marcus. After explaining everything, he offered to cover about half the cost of the third-party movers, which we reluctantly accepted. Then he dropped another bombshell! He told us the next available delivery date would be June 29th, "if the TV becomes available." I couldn't believe what I was hearing! We had already waited two weeks. The night before delivery, their team suddenly invented the "impossible stairway" issue without ever inspecting our home! Then they canceled the order without notice! And now we were being told the TV was out of stock and that we might need to wait another three weeks with no guarantee?!!! At that point, we had enough. We canceled the entire order, including the Best Buy membership! We will NEVER purchase anything from Best Buy again, ever! And honestly, my recommendation to everyone is simple: Stay far away from Best Buy! Buy your electronics from Amazon, Costco, or other companies that actually respect their customers and honor their commitments!

Almost two weeks later, on the night before the scheduled delivery, we were informed by the delivery team that they would not be able to deliver the TV to the installation location. We then spoke with customer service, delivery representatives, store management, and others multiple times in an effort to find a solution. What was particularly frustrating is that two independent moving companies later assessed the route and both confirmed they could move the TV to the installation location while still in the box. Yet no alternative solution was offered. The biggest issue was the disconnect between sales and delivery. After the fact, we were told that customers in situations like ours are often encouraged to purchase a smaller TV. If delivery limitations are known, those conversations should happen before a customer completes a major purchase, not after waiting weeks for delivery and going through a lengthy resolution process. We were also told that a manager would look into possible solutions and follow up. We expected to hear back from the regional manager who assisted with the sale, but no follow-up was ever made. Then, on the morning of the scheduled delivery, we received notice that the delivery had been canceled without any explanation. We ultimately had to visit the store in person to understand what was happening. Adding to the frustration, we were told the TV would not be available again until the following month. At the same time, we were expected to continue carrying and making payments on the purchase through our newly opened Best Buy credit card, despite not having a confirmed delivery date or a clear plan for how the TV would ultimately be delivered to the installation location. The employees we interacted with were generally polite, but the overall experience left us feeling that sales, delivery, and customer service were not aligned. Had the delivery concerns been addressed before the purchase, we could have made an informed decision from the start. Unfortunately, the entire experience ended with the cancellation of a major purchase.

He properly evaluated there were major broken parts costing $500 to repair and left the house to file the warranty claim. Not only did we have the original two year warranty, but I spent an additional $130 for extending the warranty to five years. After he left our house, he reported that the failure was due to "overloading the washer" with no evidence, no indication, and no common sense. We are two grandparents living by ourselves with little laundry that we do quite often, so the loads are small. Whirlpool used to be a quality brand, and with a $600 washer with all of the sensors included to complete a proper wash, you would think the sensors would let you know if it truly was overloaded. Anyway, specifically because of the DMV technician's claim that the damage was our fault, the insurance will not reimburse us. I have filed a claim to the Better Business Bureau and will continue to fight this until it is fixed.

I said no is there a manager. He hung up the phone on me . I am calling for a friend because he is now legally blind and needs assistance. In particular, I appreciated receiving notice of damage to one of the machines before delivery. Now Appliance reordered the machine from the manufacturer and is prepared to deliver and install when in stock for no extra charge. The salesman, Chris, was responsive both by phone and email. He was very helpful in selecting the appliances that fit our budget. If I had my wish, the online catalog would be easier to navigate as it has no search/filter feature.

The day of the appointment we received a phone call 10 minutes before the technician arrived. He spent about 10-15 minutes checking the issues we said we had with the dishwasher. When he was done he asked me to verify the issues he had written down and said they had to get approval from HSA for the parts and then he could fix it. After the first week and hearing nothing I tried to call the business and the voicemail did not identify who I had called. I emailed the email address sent to me and never recieved a reply. TWO WEEKS later we finally heard back that the parts came in. They made an appointment for the next day. Again, the technician called 10 minutes before arriving. He quickly made the repairs and was on his way.

    Warning to Other Consumers - Dishonest and Unreliable Service…read more As a small business owner, I'm very hesitant to write negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience with Appliance Magic to help others avoid what happened to us. Our LG washer/dryer broke, and based on online reviews, I contacted Appliance Magic for repair. The first red flag was that their initial quote was $150 higher than the last company we used (who is unfortunately no longer in business). When I showed them the previous receipt, the technician reduced the price by $50. The technician came out and replaced the drain pump, and we paid in full. However, the machine never worked properly after the repair. He came back a second time to try to fix it, but it still didn't work. We then hired another appliance company for a second opinion, and they immediately identified that the wrong drain pump had been installed, which explained why our washer still wasn't functioning. When I contacted Appliance Magic to ask about replacing the incorrect part--which was supposed to be covered under warranty--they insisted on charging us again for both labor and parts. We ended up having to pay the other company to remove the wrong pump and install the correct one. To make matters worse, the phone number for Appliance Magic has since stopped working, and I've been unable to reach them for any resolution. I'm embarrassed to admit we were scammed, but I hope sharing this experience helps others avoid the same situation. Be cautious before doing business with this company.
