I called the Appliance Doctor due to a problem with condensation in my freezer causing it to form ice and not close properly. Rick came out, saw the problem, cleaned out all of the old ice, most was hidden behind the drawer which I never would have found. Contacted Appliance Doctor about a washer not working correctly. They sent out a tech and I explained the issues. He checked out washer, and said there was nothing wrong with it and I would have to pay the service which I did. Even though the Appliance Doctor rep said there was nothing wrong with our washer, the same problem continued to occur so we contacted a different repair company who came out, identified the problem in 5 minutes and took pictures of obviously broken parts and gave me a quote for repair. Bottom line; Appliance Doctor failed to identify the problem, collected their fee, and didn't fix the problem. Very dissatisfied with Appliance Doctor and will never use them again. read more

Called Appliance Doctorx Inc for diagnosis and repair of my 6 year old Whirlpool washer. I was scheduled to have a visit window from 12 to 2. At 2 I received a call saying the technician was running late and was 3pm okay or did I want to reschedule for the following day. I said that 3pm was fine. The tech sounded like he really wanted me to say tomorrow was fine. Tech showed up and struggled to remove the panel to even open the washer up. Unable to do that he concluded that the MCU board was bad and the cost to repair would be over $400. So I want to do the repair. No, I'll buy a new washer. Lackluster effort to diagnose the issue and maximum effort to get out the door as soon as possible. Definitely not worth the $79 fee to provide that diagnosis. read more

BEWARE $80 Service fee. First, the person forgot about our original appt, gave him a second chance and asked him to come the following week to look at our fridge. Well he came, was there 8 min total, 2 of which was looking at the fridge. Told us we needed a new one, that our fridge was a bad model and we should get a whirlpool, then charged us $80 service fee for absolutely nothing. I understand a fee for coming out, but $80?! I called Appliance dr to fix my ice maker that was not working. First, the guy never showed liked said he would. Guy arrives 3 hours later( after I called) makes a mess looking at ice maker, turns my refrigerator off to repair. Explains its shot and not worth fixing. Charges me 80.00 and leaves. I'm busy as I have workers in and out doing repairs on my home. Well, the next day I notice my refrigerator had been turned off by tech but never turned back on !! WHAT?????? I call the owner who was on the defense before I even spoke and he tried to tell me I was wrong and maybe something else is wrong with my fridge. There was a huge crack of lightning, unlike anything I've seen in years! The power was off for @45 minutes but finally came back on. All seemed. But that evening I realized that my ice was melting and my fridge was not working! I put as much as I could and called multiple appliance repair. I receive please leave a message and due to the hour I left one. That next morning I reached real people and got, "we will call you once I can check the scedule". Well sadly I believed this and it started on Monday by Thursdayeve I had cell phone ear, @1200. dollars in rotten food, and wasn't thinking very kindly about quite a number supposed top rate appliance repair companies! I finally just picked off a list,"APPLIANNCE DOCTOR" 936-0111. It was once again late Thurs evening but I spoke to a person. They promised to be at my home first the Fr. Morning. I thought, yeah right, Be still my heart, I answer I door Friday morning to a person, full Covid Complete, gloved,bottled and masks holding out a business card APPIIANCE DOCTOR!! ( I thought I was dreaming) He came in,was super polite, without looking said he already knew what was wrong, rolled out the fridge, lightning did the damage, replaced the part and rolled it back explained that this part was hit by the lightning and he replace it with an upgraded part. I waited all week and it took 10-15 minutes. I could have hugged him but gave home 2 thumbs up instead. He was so professional and courteous, showing up, without me asking in full Covid protecting. Do NOT use this company. I called because my dishwasher was not filling with water. Technician got it to work and guess what? That very night it leaked all over my cabinet and left a huge water stain. The stain and leak appeared only AFTER he worked on it. Of course, the company claims no responsibility for the damage. Stay away, call someone else. read more

On 2-7-17 I contact the appliance dr, ref my refrig not cooling, technician Keith and within 5 minutes stated a evaporated motor was not working, he used a screw driver to get it to spin, and advised me to contact GE, and stated it would be a $69.00 service call. GE technician came and checked and stated the evaporator motor was just going through its cycle and that it was working fine, GE did fix my problem. I feel I wasted $69.00 calling the appliance dr, will not use them again. read more
