I had a very disappointing experience with Appliance EMT that I feel others should be aware of. A technician came to my home on Saturday to repair my ice maker. Before beginning the work, he clearly stated that the cost would be $395, but also explained that there was no warranty on the repair and that if the fix did not work, the price would be reduced to $250. Based on that representation, I agreed to move forward. After the repair, the freezer briefly got cold and produced only three ice cubes before the technician left--at which point I was charged the full $395. Unfortunately, within an hour of his departure, the freezer stopped working entirely. When I contacted the company to address this, I expected them to honor what their technician had promised. Instead, they refused to adjust the price down to $250 as previously stated. Rather than resolving the issue, they repeatedly attempted to upsell me on a much more expensive repair totaling approximately $1,300. Given this experience--being charged for a repair that did not work, having agreed-upon pricing disregarded, and facing persistent upselling instead of resolution--I strongly discourage others from doing business with this company. read more

I've had a great experience with Moe and Appliance EMT. I had an older undercounter icemaker go silent on me. Moe arrived as promised and provided repair or replacement options. I had same day service for a refrigerator water leak. Yeah identified a crack in the freezer wall. He indicated that he could not guarantee a fix. However he did using an adhesive to fill the crack. No water leak so far Service price was very reasonable. read more

My dishwasher had about 12 in. of water in the bottom after being used. I had someone pump the water out and then called EMT on June 15. Someone came, looking mostly on his phone, stayed for about 30 minutes and said it was fixed good enough to be used temporarily. He never even tried out the machine. If I wanted a permanent repair it would be an additional $600. He charged me $ 175. I decided to buy a new dishwaster. It was delivered on July 15. I used it one time. There was water in the bottom. So it was not repaired at all and I paid $ 175 for nothing. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

On March 27, 2026 I had a Technican over for a non heating up dryer issue. The Technician came in and after a diagnostic, he told me that the dryer vent was clogged up and that was actually the issue. He also recommended to remove the back panel and vacuum there since it was very filthy. He never replaced any parts on the dryer. The dryer started heating up again and I ended up with a $404 bill. My experience with this company began 6/23/26 thru 7/14/26 with a dishwasher. Was not resolved until 7/14 26 three weeks later when i purchased a new one from Home Depot. I would stay as far as possible from this company. 1) called appliance emt to come out to look at dishwasher. Charge would be $97. 2) He said it needed a water valve, he put it on. Did not work, said it needed another part that he did not have. 3) Three days later at 8pm on Friday night he came back with part, he said all good now. 4) We did not run until Monday night when it was full. It then had a burning smell and kicked off the circuit breaker. 5) Called and texted them the next day and told them to come pick up parts that we were getting a new dishwasher and stopping payment on $183 for parts and second visit, we would pay for $97 service call for 1st visit. 6) They did not come or call back. I called Home Depot and ordered a new one. 7)At this point we have been without a dishwasher for 3- weeks. 8)After having new one installed I called Appliance emt back and spoke to lady named Gabby, she said she would look into it, she was sorry that is not how they operate. I made an appointment with Peter, an appliance EMT Technician. He diagnosed my non- drying dishwasher, as needing a new control board. The diagnostic cost $97 which later was applied to the repair cost of $385.00 about half the cost of a new dishwasher. That was three weeks ago, and so far my dishwasher is performing like new. It's still early since the work was done. If I can get at least two to three more years out of my dishwasher, I would consider this a good investment. 5 stars for now read more

He does great work on refrigerators and dryers. Didn't realize the coils in the back of my fridge were so dirty & definitely needed a thorough cleaning. Appliance EMT is not a company I would recommend for appliance repairs. The company does not provide transparent pricing for services, and their technicians have the ability inflate the service fee. I contacted Appliance EMT for a refrigerator repair and was given three different prices to change a light bulb in the freezer and refrigerator. The initial quote provided was roughly $442 and after informing the technician I would compare prices with other business, the price dropped twice. The initial nonrefundable service visit was $150. At the end of the service visit, I agreed to the final price of $300 and requested an invoice. Invoices are not provided by the technicians, and I was instructed to contact the office. Once received, there was no breakdown of the cost of parts or labor. On the day of the appointment, the technician entered the home, changed the two bulbs, emailed the invoice, and was back in his vehicle in five minutes. The visit was time-stamped and documented. The parts were less than $30, $0 taxes and fees listed, which left a 5-minute labor rate of $270. Management was contacted and again I was informed that the company does not provide price menus or labor rates to guests. The manager reiterated that the company use a specific blue book rate for labor, but do not provide details of the rate. Customers are essentially at the mercy of the technician and the company to be honest. The manager was informed of the initial rate provided by the technician and he stated that the price provided was not the blue book labor rate for the requested service. It is unclear if any disciplinary action was taken against the technician. This is not a company I would recommend for appliance repairs. read more

I'd love to write a 5-star review, but even after giving the company multiple chances to make things right, they never did, so here I am writing a negative one. We had the tech come out on Friday morning to give us a written estimate on the cost to fix our ice maker. We were told verbally it would cost $550 to fix. We declined and asked that the written estimate be emailed to us. The tech seemed quite upset that we declined the estimate, even though we had paid for him to come out and give us a written estimate (literally the ONLY reason for him to come out was to give us a written estimate - we told this to the rep when we called to book the appointment). He left after 2 hours; we never saw an email with the receipt for the estimate or a written estimate. My husband called. They said they would send over an estimate. 2 hours later, no email. I called; they said they would email it to us. We waited and waited...When Saturday comes, my husband calls, and they say they will send us an email. Monday comes...I emailed them and asked for the estimate. I get something from them that says: "The estimate for the replacement of your LG icemaker is $400.00 plus tax. This includes the cost of the replacement part and the labor required for the repair." For crying out loud - We just need a piece of paper that says how much that part costs and the name of the part. It also makes me extremely suspicious when the tech said it would cost $550 and the email they sent me said $400. Just stay away from this company. There are a lot better ones out there that actually do what they say they will. read more

Will never call this company again. Technician didn't have a clue about what was causing the problem with my refrigerator. He didn't do any diagnostic testing. He said my refrigerator might need a new control board but he wasn't sure. The control board was $580.00. I requested a repair on our Fulgor Milano refrigerator I specifically asked if EMT serviced this brand and they said yes. Unfortunately this was not the case. The ice maker stopped making ice and the technician charged me 1st for a new water flow intake valve $500 and then a replacement ice maker $800. Neither fixed the problem and the technician was on the phone with the manufacturer multiple times to no avail. So we stopped the pain and contacted our vendor who solid us the appliance. They sent out a truly certified technician who fixed the ice maker and showed us that one of the parts EMT charged us was NOT a new part. I take ownership for not hiring g a truly certified technician in the first place but EMT should have reimbursed me for the parts that did not work. Never again. read more
