This is the worst store I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Bought a refrigerator for my daughter and when it was delivered it was dead on arrival. A loaner fridge was dropped off while a part was supposedly being ordered for the one I got. The part never arrived so a replacement fridge was sent which was also dead on arrival. This whole ordeal took over a month with 6 times we were promised delivery and 6 times they didn't call or show up. It was impossible to reach anyone by phone. Had to physically go to the store many times to discuss what was going on and every time it was some different excuse. I finally got fed up and asked for a refund and was told by the employee that he couldn't give me one and said I would need to talk to the owner. I asked for the owner's number and he wouldn't give it to me but said he would have the owner call me. He never did. At that point I saw no other option than to dispute the credit card charge to get my refund and we ended up having to return the broken refrigerator as well as the loaner ourselves because they didn't pick them up when they said they would (another no call no show). I would advise everyone to avoid this place. Customer service is non existent. Poor communication, empty promises, and junk merchandise. read more

This is a one star review because there is no option to give a negative 3 stars. The sales associate in the store was respectful and helpful. The delivery was terrible. They tore up my flooring and didn't properly connect the washer and dryer. Then the manager was a complete jerk and insulting when I tried to resolve. Lucky for him there were a few miles between us when we spoke on the phone. Update: a technician came to look at flooring damage and to properly install washer and dryer. He didn't have the missing lint trap with him or the missing dryer vent that they never installed in the first place. Then today the owner showed up to drop off an old beat up dryer lint that isn't the right one and a dryer vent pipe that was old, full of lint and torn up. It would have cost him less to have installed the appliances properly the first time with a new dryer vent. What a joke! I guess his plan is to keep making return trips never actually fixing the problems until the two month warranty runs out. I am going to start by saying I should have read reviews before going to this business. Next, I should have trusted my gut when there and turned around and walked out. It would have made our lives easier in the end. My husband and I have extensive construction experience and have several rental properties. We thought we'd explore and broaden our appliance purchase options. The prices are neither commensurate with the very poor level of customer service (before purchase AND after delivery), nor the quality of the delivered damaged product. Thankfully my husband is a skilled handyman and we have patient, sweet tenants. I was a little irritated at the inconvenience but I waited. Today, Tuesday, 10/20 is the day it was supposed to be delivered. Around 10:30 I tried to call but the only "person" I could get ahold of were automated messages prompting me to menus. Cliff's Notes (for those who don't want to read the whole thing)... Not very good with customer service. Staff might be nice, but the owner is rude and unprofessional. If you purchase here...do not purchase the extended warranty, it is now a total waste of money. Unabridged version (for those who want the details)... My used stove purchase with Appliance Warehouse was wonderful, delivery was great, etc. Very friendly sales staff. I purchased the extended warranty for the stove so that if something happened they would come out and fix it. About 3 months later one of the burners stopped working. I called to schedule someone to come look at it, as my warranty stated I could. I do not know if the call started off on the wrong note because I accidentally called just before opening or just what happened. When I informed the gentleman who answered, who made sure he told me I called before opening hours, of my need he informed they changed their business in the last 3 months and no longer go to customer sites, do deliveries, etc. He did say I could bring the stove to them for repair or that I could bring in the coil and get a new one. However, since I know nothing about how electric stoves work I don't know if it is the coil that is the problem, or something else, and let's face it, a stove isn't like taking a sewing machine in for repairs... I mentioned this fact (minus my sewing machine comparison), he got frustrated with me, and his tone turned rude. He told me, in a curt tone, that he didn't know what else to say and those were my options. Frustrated I asked if the money I had spent on my warranty was now half wasted and he got mildly angry with me, commenting 'this is what he gets for answering the phone.' Shocked at the tone he was taking with me I told him I would not be purchasing from them in the future and hung up. I called back about 45 minutes later in the hopes I would get someone else on the line to talk to about getting my warranty money back. I got the same gentleman again, who turns out to be the owner. I made my request and he flat refused to refund me my money, despite the fact they are no longer honoring the terms of the warranty I purchased. I would not have spent money on a warranty that requires me to bring my large appliance in for repairs. I attempted to explain this fact to him but he kept interrupting me and accused me of yelling at him. Admittedly, I did have a frustrated tone and had to speak up a bit in an attempt for him to hear, over his angry soliloquy, that I was trying to speak, but in truth he was closer to yelling than I was. I requested again to have my warranty money refunded and stated again that they changed the terms of the warranty post purchase. Again he refused my request and continued on a tirade that I changed what I said was wrong after hearing they will not come out (as mentioned, I know the symptom, not necessarily the cause), and how they are able to honor the warranty, and if he wasn't going to honor the warranty he would have hung up on me...etc. As I do not appreciate being spoken to in belittling, angry tones, I hung up. I think if I had simply been told the change in business operations in professional, polite tones, that remained professional, despite a frustrated customer, I might not be making this review. I understand things change for businesses and they have to adapt. However, only once before, in my entire life, have I been spoken to in such rude and unprofessional tones. I came away from both phone calls not only frustrated at the situation, and yes, a little upset at the waste of money for the warranty, but mostly stunned at how the owner spoke to another person. read more

Earlier this month - I contacted them to fix the door being off - it's a minor fix. They sent the repair guy after I called 2 x in one week - he just showed up with no appointment. He then refused to do the repair without a copy of the warranty - which they had never given me - just one of the many reasons we disputed the warranty charge with our credit card company. I have it somewhere but it would probably take me hours to find it. Called the store to ask if I could get a copy of my re riot - he admitted that since the invoice is filled out in triple, they have 2 copies but he refused to give me a copy. I'm calling the better business bureau tomorrow, flooding my social media and filing a claim in small claims. They are HORRIBLE. And anyone thinking of doing business with them I beg you to please read their response below. They have proof of my warranty - 2 copies of it in fact which they admitted to me today. They have literally refused to give me a copy of what they have in their possession as an excuse- is this really who you want to do business with? When the refrigerator was first delivered, and the ice maker didn't work, my husband went there in person at which point they were so rude to him that he said he couldn't believe they were in business - the guy literally yelled at him a year ago "you better hope you never need that warranty." I do not understand what the people who run this store think. I am the renter in the house Yaodong Ji (a review below that they said was "False") purchased the refrigerator for. Mr. Ji really did his best to work things out with the Greer Appliance Warehouse. They delivered a refrigerator with a broken LCD panel. They promised him the repair man would be out that week to replace it. The repair man never showed up. This was the first week of March to be exact. He called several times and got very frustrated. At that time I offered to take over and schedule the repairs. I called and found out they didn't even have the part promised in stock. They still needed to order it and it was going to take over a week to install. Fast forward another two weeks and one missed appointment the repair man finally showed up. At that time my roommate informed him that the fridge was not cooling and we had lost an entire fridge full of food. He told her it was because the LCD was broken and we must have just not set it correctly (we didn't set it, it was left on the setting they delivered it with). She said okay, feeling very unsure about that. The fridge seemed to work, so we went and replaced the groceries that had spoiled. The next day the fridge was back up to around 65 degrees. Everything spoiled again and we had to call back. The "repairs" went on from March until the beginning of June. We had to take turns missing work to be home until we literally didn't have any more days to miss. More than half the time the repair guy didn't even show up. When we would call the people in the store would say they couldn't get ahold of him and didn't know what he was doing. They would just schedule another day like it was not big deal. At the end of May we called again (we had been calling regularly this whole time). Come to find out the repair man had been FIRED! He wasn't fixing anything, only making problems worse and hardly ever showing up to appointments. We felt sorry for the company at this point. They said they were now working with a third party repair company and they would be coming out. The new repair man explained that the fridge was beyond repair. It has wires missing, the condenser was hard wired to run constantly, and quite a few other things. At that point it was just running up our power bill. He said "there's no coming back from that". They said they would contact the Appliance warehouse and tell them we needed a swap. Appliance warehouse was supposed to reach out to us and schedule a day and time. They never reached out. A week goes by and we finally call and let them know (they acted unaware) that we needed a swap. The deliver was scheduled three times. Time 1: No Call-No Show- apparently the fridge the were going to send us was also broken. They didn't feel the need to call us and let us know they weren't coming. Another day of work missed. Time 2: No call-No Show- The delivery driver called the wrong number (he inverted two numbers). Instead of trying again or calling one of the other numbers on file he just didn't show up. Another day of work missed. Time 3: Finally, the delivery driver shows up with our swap. 108 days after the fridge was purchased. It hasn't been the recommended 2 hours before plugging it up, so I am not sure if it will actually work, but I really hope so. We had to wait 108 days, miss many days of work, loose two fridges full of groceries, and pay only God know how much extra on our power bill to get a working fridge... if it even works this time. I really hope you guys get your act together because this was an absolutely awful experience. I normally only leave very positive reviews, but this was bad enough I made an exception. I absolutely would not recommend doing business here. I understand that you do not manufacture the refrigerators... but maybe you shouldn't sell faulty products. A novel thought here: maybe instead of doubling down on your bad customer service in the reviews, you just apologize and stop having bad customer service. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! This is another "one star because I can't give them less than one star" review. I purchased a refrigerator for my grandmother, and of course it never worked. They sent a gentleman out to my grandmother's house several times to FAIL at repairing the refrigerator, and every time he would leave declaring it fixed, then he would have to come back because (surprise!) it didn't work. They also wouldn't switch the unit out until their own repair man admitted that it couldn't be fixed, which took weeks. Then, when they finally replaced it with a different unit . . . yeah, that one didn't work either. Their repair person was eventually able to get it to work, but then it quit again after a month. Then they tell me the warranty was only good for 60 days after they delivered the first unit, even though it NEVER worked and they wouldn't switch it out for weeks. When I called and wanted to speak to the owner to see if he was more concerned about customer satisfaction than his store manager, the manager wouldn't give me the owners' name. My experience with this man and his business is the absolute worst sales and business experience of my life! The owner is the nastiest person I have ever encountered. My wife and I purchased a washer and dryer there in Feb - When the the machines were delivered we tried to run them, but neither of them would work. My wife called and complained and the owner belittled her on the phone. Then he said someone would come and fix them (they were under a 60 day warranty -to be repaired). Wednesday came and went, my wife waited all day, they never came. We called many times getting no answer and ignoring our messages. Finally the next Wednesday they sent out a repairman, but he could only partially fix the problems. We called to see what the store would do about it they continued to ignore our calls and messages. Finally I decided that I would go to the store myself. When I arrived at the store with my toddler son I began talking to one of the workers at the store - that is when the owner came over and took over the conversation cursing me and insulting my wife and child. I asked him to stop cursing, but that didn't stop him. He hurled insults at me and my family, very, crudely and called me a little girl, because I am a man. This man is very vulgar and I suspect potentially violent. Do yourself a favor -don't buy from him! Finally our machines need to be repaired, but I have two choices -call and get ignored or go to his store and get cursed out. read more

We purchased a washer and dryer from the Appliance Outlet Showroom in Greer on March 30th. We were told that a new dryer vent hose and washer hoses were included with the purchase. What we got was a dirty dryer vent hose and washer hoses that looked older than me. At the time of purchase, delivery couldn't be made for another week. We picked up the appliances on April 2nd. I Installed the dryer that evening. It would run for about 10 minutes then shut off displaying the error code F23. I called the store April 3rd at 9:13am and left a voice mail. No one called. I called again at 2:31pm. I told the guy exactly what was going on with the dryer. I was told that service calls are ran on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He scheduled me for Tuesday April 6th and said that a tech would call me. No one showed. No one called. Friday April 9th a tech stopped by. He told Kasey, my son's girlfriend, that the dryer hose was too long. The tech pulled the dryer away from the wall and ran it for about 5 minutes then left. I called Kasey and had her do the same but let it run until it shuts off. It ran for 10 minutes then shut off displaying the error code F23. Parker, my son, called the store Friday morning April 9thregarding the tech that never showed on April 6th. He was told that the tech's phone battery had died and that's why he has not called for three days. April 9th at 2:33pm. The store called and left a message. "This is the appliance store calling about your dryer. Call us back". April 9th at 3:59pm, I had got call from 864-631-3640. A message was left to call about the dryer. April 9th at 4:07pm. I returned the call. I talked to a woman and told her about the tech who said the hose was too long. I was told that the tech who showed up wasn't their "laundry guy" and he just happened to be in the area and chose to stop by. She told me that someone will be there on April 13th. No one showed. No one called. I called the store Thursday April 15th at 10:39am. I left a message to call me. No one called. Parker called the store Thursday April 15th at approximately 3:00pm asking when a tech would be there. The store called the tech while on the phone with Parker. Parker was told that the tech had just left Travelers Rest and had to stop in Taylors and drop off some hoses. He should be there 3:30-3:45pm. No one showed. No one called. I went to the store on April 16th and asked what the problem was with getting the dryer repaired. I was told that two techs had quit within one week and the tech, who was supposed to be there on April 13th, picked his tickets that morning and no one has heard from him since then and he's not answering his phone. So, they haven't heard from the tech, yet Parker was told (on the 15th) that the tech had just left Travelers Rest and had to stop in Taylors and drop off some hoses. I called the store April 20th at 12:25pm. I said that I had a tech scheduled to for today and I haven't heard from anyone to confirm the appointment. The store told me that the tech was scheduled for today and he would call 30 minutes in advance. No one showed. No one called. April 22nd. A tech showed up to repair the dryer. The tech told Parker was that he believed the problem is in the wiring harness and he didn't have time to troubleshoot it. He also told Parker that he would bring out a replacement dryer either today (Thursday) or tomorrow. He wasn't sure what day, but it would definitely be before the weekend. As usual, no one showed. No one called. April 30th at 12:34pm I got a text from 864-501-6190. Hello this is Mike from the appliance showroom I am approximately 15 minutes away. I left work at 12:45pm that day then got a text from the same number at 12:51pm. It was Mike saying that he was there. Before I could respond, Mike called. He was there at the house to swap out the dryer. I told him I would see if anyone was home. I called Parker. No one was home. I called Mike and told him no one was at home and wouldn't be there for a while. He said ok and that he had to go to Pauline but would be back in the area today and would call me when he got close. As usual, no one called. May13th at 5:13pm. I called the store and left a voice mail stating that I needed some to call me about picking up some appliances. As usual, no one called. May 15th at 1:39pm. I called the store. I need to talk to someone about picking up some appliances that still haven't been repaired or replaced. He looked up the address asked, has the tech not been out yet? I said No. I've had nothing but people saying they'll be there and never show up and never call. He wants to argue with me claiming that they've made several calls and attempts to repair or swap out. I have phone records to prove other wise. I'm hope to be able to warn everyone,Don't buy anything from them, they sold me a junk refrigerator for $900.00, had problems with it from day one, would not repair even tho it was under warranty, would not return calls, finally came out and said water filter bad, I went and bought one for 50.00 that didn't fix it, called and called, finally it quit completely, very rude and really a smart #@!. My husband and I recently bought our first home, so our budget was extremely limited. As someone who recently moved to the area, I was thrilled there was an appliance store so close by with amazing deals. Purchasing the fridge and having it delivered was seamless. We were so excited, waited the 2 hours and plugged it in. 24 hours had passed and we were getting anxious. Then it turned into days and no cold air was blowing out, therefore ruining all of our food. We reached out and they scheduled a service appointment to check out the fridge. The service guy came by and assured my husband that our part would be overnighted and fixed asap. A day goes by and we hear nothing. Another day goes by and we call the store (at noon) in which we were assured he would get up with the service guy and have him call us. 5 hours pass and you guessed it. Nothing. The calls to the store goes straight to voicemail. The same exact situation occurs just 2 weeks later. Appointment set, service guy never shows, called the store and was told that they would get up with the tech and give me a call back, and once again business hours end and I have once again received no calls. After 3 weeks of back and forth over something that was diagnosed and called an "easy fix" in the matter of 15 minutes at my home, I am still left with no working fridge. I have a feeling they're going to wait this out until the 60 day "warranty" is up. It really breaks my heart to know that this business takes advantage of people without remorse. First let me say that my previous review of this business was removed by Yelp because it did not meet their criteria for a review. I think it was because of the language I chose describing my experience. So here goes my second attempt. My first of two visits here was November of 2015. I was looking for a used but newer refrigerator for the garage . I entered and encountered a gentleman who was moving appliances around . I told him what I was looking for. He completely ignored me, so I browsed around and found one refrigerator that might fit the bill. So I walked back to front and asked the Gent to give me the info on this used refrigerator. He apparently had no idea of its age or what its history was. This struck me strange that he offered up no attempt to sell the appliance other than take it or leave it. So I said thanks and started to walk back to my truck when he began shouting across the parking lot and I quote " you won't find anything better than what I have here" in a indignant voice. I ignored his shouting and drove away thinking I must find the owner of this business and tell him what a mistake Having this man in his business talking to customers. Turns out he IS the owner . Shocker for me. My second visit was November 2016. I was looking for a used dryer for a friend in need. I entered the greer store and was greeted by a very nice lady who showed me what they had. They were all way too expensive given their advanced age. So I thanked her and exited the building. But guess who was waiting at the exit. He looked at the woman asked her what the problem was . I stated there was no problem , that I did not find anything I was looking for. ( code for overpriced) . He immediately started raising his voice at me asking me" I guess my stuff is not good enough for you huh?" Never I my life have a had a business owner speak to me in this manner. That's when things got heated. I let him know in no uncertain terms that he had no idea how to talk to customers. The conversation devolved from there and abruptly exited the store swearing to myself that that would be the last time I darkened the doors of that establishment. Since then I have talked to two other people who also had poor experiences with this establishment. If I could give him negative stars I would. There are plenty of other user appliance store in the Greenville/Spartanburg area who will treat you with the proper respect. read more

Went to the warehouse looking for a washer/dryer set. After discussing everything with my girlfriend we decided on a nicer looking LG matching pair that was set on a pedestal. The owner/salesman was friendly enough, and he up-sold their 60 day warranty and delivery. I was a little hesitant at first, but I didn't want to do all the heavy lifting/moving so I decided to go for it. Fast forward to delivery day, a guy pulls up in my drive way with the set we purchased. I help him into the house, and he plugs in the washer and starts a cycle. Works as it should. I help the delivery man set up the dryer. He starts a cycle, we hear metal in the drying drum, and we smell something awful. The cables were crossed, and the thing blew up. Fast forward 7 days after getting run around after run around. Finally, they come and pick up their old dryer and deliver a new one. This one is not a matching one, but is "comparable". I get a GE dryer, everything seems to be working as it should, the delivery gentleman leaves. I do my first load of laundry that night, no complaints. The next day (today) I put another load in the dryer. The dryer says "drying" but the tumbler isn't moving and there is no heat. I call the warehouse only to get lambasted by the owner and immediantly he puts the repair gentleman on the phone. I explain to the repair gentleman I know who he is, but I'd like to talk with the owner about my experience. The guy gets on the phone and I quote "I don't want to f****** talk with you, I know who you are. You are calling up here trying to give me a hard time, and you want to talk with the repair man." In the end, the service is horrible. I do not recommend this place. The repair guys seem like they honestly try, as do the delivery guys. The owner though is the absolute worst excuse for a "business owner" and a pain to deal with. You'd be happier to go elsewhere and probably have a better experience as well. Negative stars if I could. Unfortunately, I have to give a 1 star minimum. EDIT: One week later: The new GE dryer we received... It now smells of burnt electronics. August 1st: Got a call from the manager, he was cursing me out calling me all kinds of names because I did a charge back. I was able to get my money back because I did not get specifically what I purchased (60 day warranty). He threatened to call the law on me if I would not let them pick it up. Honestly, I didn't want the garbage in my house. As many times as I smelled electrical smoke, I'm surprised my house hasn't burned down. I explained to him that I often times travel from work and he had to pick it up *TODAY* or not at all for a week. They did come and pick it up, thankfully the delivery guy is a lot more professional than the owner/manager Mr. Roger Tarbell. August 2nd: I wish I could make this up, but my phone starts ringing off the hook. There is an ad on Craigslist with a free refrigerator and my number on it. I can't say that Roger did it, but it seems highly suspicious. read more

Is it possible to give a zero-star review? Either we got a severe one-off experience, or all the reviewers on here are spouting lies. Our experience with Greer Appliance Warehouse has been one of the worst customer service expriences we've ever had anywhere. The basics: everything started out fine, we ordered a refrigerator over the phone to have delivered. We were assured it was fully functional, and that the delivery guy would install and connect it. It was delivered as promised, but the delivery guy did not install nor connect it. He said to wait two hours before plugging it in, and then we realized that the water was not connected correctly. The fridge was cold for a few days, but we called the day after delivery to get someone out to correct the water problem. They promised to come the next day. No show. Called the following day and they said they would confirm the service guy was on his way and would call me right back. 5 hours later I called them back and they made the excuse that their guy had the wrong area code. I don't even know how that qualifies as a legitimate excuse when YOU, the actual company are communicating with me on the correct area code, and why do you need an area code anyway to show up at my address at the agreed upon time?? At any rate, he they said the service guy would show up the NEXT day, which he finally did, and got the water hooked up correctly, BUT noted that the installer should have installed some sort of rubber seal to stop air from flowing into the ice and water dispensers. The service guy said he would be back on Monday to fix that problem. -Meanwhile, the freezer makes three ice cubes and then stops, no more, and the fridge and freezer temps start to rise to the point that we have to move our refrigerated items into the freezer to keep them cold. -The service guy never showed up on Monday to fix the rubber seal issue. -We called again Monday to get service to fix the no ice and fridge not staying cold problem. They said they would be there Tuesday. Tuesday came and went and nobody showed up. Called the office and they said they saw no reason the service guy wouldn't get to us still, but he was just delayed at another project. The guy never showed up, and never called. So we called back Wednesday morning. They said they couldn't get a guy to us until Thursday, and there were other customers on the schedule ahead of us. So let me get this straight... you no-show two days in a row, then show up only to find there are more problems than we even knew (no rubber seal) so guy said he would come back to fix the rubber seal Monday (meanwhile fridge stops keeping cold), guy doesn't show Monday, you then commit to show up Tuesday but no-show again and tell me that "other customers are on the schedule ahead of us??" Are we living in the same world here? So I ask what assurance I have that their guy will actually show up on Thursday. They ask what assurance I'd like, so I say I'd like a full refund if he doesn't show up, to which they say "absolutely not, we can't refund you" and that "the contract says all sales are final." Ok, I get it, so you'll say anything to get a dissatisfied customer off the phone, including committing to showing up to service the appliance the next day, but aren't willing to stake your profit margin on your inability to actually follow through and show up when you say you will (nor make any effort to contact customers you agreed to service but didn't show up for, to arrange a re-schedule). To make it even better, the guy hung up the phone by calling me "kid." So, if you want to receive a dirty appliance that if it doesn't work right you'll have to hope against hope they'll actually show up when they say they will to fix it, and then get verbally demeaned on the phone, definitely choose Greer Appliance Warehouse! If not, go elsewhere. If these guys want to make it right, they need to put themselves in customers' shoes instead of incessantly making excuses for their lackluster product and service. read more

I wish I had checked the yelp reviews before I went here and purchased a refrigerator, but I didn't. Please listen!!!! I purchased the refrigerator in February 2019 and have had problems from day one. I have not been able to get them to come and repair it even though I purchased the one year warranty. When I've called, they would take the info then you wouldn't hear anything back. So I called again and they acted as if its the first time they have gotten a call from me. Now they are asking me to prove that I purchased the warranty...asked me to text them a copy of it...I gave them all of the info on the warranty they provided to me but I guess they don't keep records!! Spend your money elsewhere. Horrible service. If I Could give them NEGATIVE ZERO stars I promise you I would!!! read more
