I have a Bosch fridge that needed significant repairs. Bosch did their part and sent the parts free of charge because the previous repairman had stolen parts when they were mailed to him. So I was referred to Appliance Repair Center as the only other certified repair people to service Bosch. They ignored 4 calls to me and then finally told me they cancelled the ticket with Bosch because "we don't repair that model". They knew I was in a predicament and not only failed to try and help me, they actively ignored me and then tried to pass the buck to Bosch in terms of who got to tell me I have a $6k piece of junk in my kitchen. Oh, and they only take calls MWF. The woman who handles the calls is rude and doesn't know the business well enough to be of any help. If you can go anywhere else, AVOID THEM! read more

After coming down once they said the part they ordered without looking at my fridge wasnt what needed fixing (who knew it actually helps to first look at the problem to know what the problem is). Coming down second time they saw the issue was the filter wasnt working ($20 fix which is something you should be able to notice when you briefly look at the fridge and you know what you are talking about). They said they fixed it and left. But ice maker never worked. Finally got the Home Depot insurance to send someone else who fixed everything within 10 minutes and was nice about it. If you can, SPRINT away from this company. They are incapable, rude and unprofessional. They will NOT fix your appliance. They'll just charge you a lot for work that doesnt need to be done. The guys came out to level my washer and dryer. They said they were done and I assumed everything was ok. A couple days later, I ran a load in the washer and I went out to my garage. I could hear the thumping of the feet hitting the ground from out there. I came in and had to use wedges under the front left foot in order to keep it from thumping the tile. But the wedges kept coming out. I called them the following day and they said it would take 6 days to come out and look at the issue. I asked to speak to the manager, Richard. He told me that they couldn't come out earlier and when I asked for a refund because they made the problem worse, he said no. Refusing to take accountability for the work he did, instead, blaming me and telling me I must have "touched the machine" or that must not have been the original problem. At this point, I don't even want this guy to come back out to do the fix because of how rude and disrespectful he was. When the machine is physically rocking because of a 1/16" gap under a foot, you clearly didn't do the job right. If you need a repair, skip these guys, because if something goes wrong, you'll be stuck with it. read more

Re: service call for LG washer/dryer. Absolutely incompetent. My appointment was initiated by Home Depot and scheduled. I called the morning of the appointment and ARC said that I was not on schedule and that I was not even in their order system even after confirming with be that they called and left me a message. Go figure!! In addition they said that it was not protocol for Home Depot to schedule and that they are the only one to schedule. Anyhow, I took the day off for no reason whatsoever. After all of the back and forth and 10 days later I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Still no part was ordered. Ironically I don't know how they can schedule a service call without trouble shooting the problem first. Regardless the communication has been horrible and I never once heard back from ARC. What is the purpose of being in the business of repair or customer service if you cannot take ownership or pride in your service?? Someone needs to up their game to be legitimate. We purchased an extended warranty on an LG refrigerator that we bought online from PC Richards. We are in Poughkeepsie but for some reason the online store was in Mt Laurel NJ. Anyway, after a year the ice maker started to leak. We called PC Richards and they assigned the Repair to Appliance Repair Center that operates out of Grand Avenue in poughkeepsie. The repairman was on time, was pleasant to work with, changed the entire Ice Maker unit with a brand new assembly. The entire ice maker was installed. They were in and out in 15 minutes and cleaned up the kitchen when they were done. Completely satisfied with the work Appliance Repair Center did. Thanks guys. read more

I just had the worst experience with this company.Richard, who is one the employees that works for the company preceeded to tell me, as he walked through my door ,that the most dirt that would come into my house is when I opened the door or windows.Now the reason why he said this is because I was lying out some boxes for him and his parner to walk on as we don't wear shoes in the house.I brushed it off and said maybe some dirt but not all.He proceeded to say it again as if I was unintelligent.Which obviously he is the one whom lacks intelligence,as that' is bs.You mean to tell me if a person steps in feces or vomit of say someone that had Hep C ,that would be the same as me opening my door and some say walking by that had Hep C is the same.Little does he know I have worked in the medical field for over 15 years and including infectious disease,.He also had an attitude from the time he walked into my home.i feel his attitude and poor comments were in poor taste. They should have a negative star option. I called to have a repair done on my LG washer that is under warrantee. This repair center told me they needed to order parts to fix my washer-despite NEVER having been to see the washer. I waited 6 full weeks from the time my washer first began shredding my clothes and my great grandmothers handmade quilt before finally a repair man came to my home. This was Richard who came out, and apparently he is the owner. He was condescending to me and called me a liar stating that the areas of issue with my washer were due to me overfilling the drum-which is hilarious to me as having owned four previous washers in my lifetime, I've never EVER overfilled one, or even fillled it past 3/4 full-and he stated that I had to have overfilled it to rip up my great grandmothers quilt-again hilarious since the quilt was smaller than a twin size, was washed by itself and I have the largest non commercial drum available. He also tried to claim that all the rough areas along the top of the drum were my fault for having loose strings, specifically pointing out the strings on the hoodie I was wearing, because we all know how excellent a material cotton shoelace style strings are for abrading hard plastic. When I attempted to explain that there was no way my g-gmas quilt could have overfilled the machine he gave me serious attitude to which I responded in kind and he spoke to me like a child telling me," don't speak to me like that, don't EVER speak to me like that" as though he hadn't been speaking to me with more attitude and disrespect by far! I told him to get out of my house and off my property. He left the house, making rude comments the entire way. I told him that I better not be getting a bill for this and he screamed back at me "I'm going to double bill you. I'm going to bill you twice, crazy bitch." He proceeded to sit In his van in my driveway so I went outside and knocked on his window and I told him again to leave my property that he was no longer welcome and was now trespassing. He continued to sit there and began to film me on his cell phone while I very pointedly and loudly told Him he needed to get the F off my property before I called the police. He continued to sit there not loving and not starting his van. I told my son to call the police and to bring my phone outside. Richard the repair man continued to sit in his van refusing to vacate my property and did not even start his van until my son handed me the phone. Richard finally pulled out of my driveway when I put the phone to my ear to speak to the police. I have never dealt with such childishness rudeness or blatant condescension and disrespect from a servicer EVER. To find out that he is the OWNER is more than shocking. He should be put out of business. There is no excuse for a business owner and a professional to ever act like that. You don't get to come into someone's home and disrespect them. I had reached out to Appliance Repair Center to have my clothes dryer and vent system cleaned. Dora was responsive and respectful and helped to get an appointment that worked out for all. Rich came onsite on time and did the work quickly and efficiently. He brought all the right equipment so there was no delay and cleaned up when he was done. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with repair services. To begin with the repair man was awfully rude and condescending. Instead of helping with a problem that had to do with a leak coming from the washing machine,he spent his time repeatedly stating how there was nothing wrong with the machine at all, how he was not going to stay working on trying to solve the problem; and that he has been doing this for 22 yrs. ( I also pointed out when he pulled the machine out that there was water coming from the hoses in the back-he then tightened them but seemed to be annoyed ). He didn't even try to reason with what we were trying to describe to him that was happening. Although I kept describing when and how the leak was occurring he kept referring to what he was actually seeing at the time. We mentioned the importance of when the leak would occur and if maybe something was seeping but he was uncooperative. Instead, He became disrespectful to both myself and my elderly aunt such that I had to finally ask him to leave my home. On May 4th they came to fix my icemaker, $378.86. After they left, It did not work. Rich seemed to be blaming me, he had his office people explaining how to use it to me. He came out personally on June 14, $123.89. Bragged about 40 years in business and was very cocky. He said most of the replacement icemakers work. He will order me another. I called repeatedly and it was never in. I bought ice cube trays and was living with it. That was June. No ice maker July, August, on September 26 the freezer side of my Amana side by side died. I called Appliance Repair Center on a Sunday, left a message. Called the next day, the receptionist who was efficient said she had the message and passed it on. To this date I have not had a call. I called another company, they sent out someone the next day, the problem was the refrigerator freezer had no freon. I am writing this on October 14th and my ice maker is working fine as is the freezer/refrigerator. Ruined my floor pulling out a stove to fix, got my 15 year old son to help him pull it out to begin with the tech lied it couldn't have been him and they "lifted" the stove. Can't lift a stove when it is wedged in-between cabinets/counters. Service manager came to "assess" the situation and he was the most horrible and nastiest man. Denied that his guy did it and that the flooring was laid in one piece. The absolute worst service ever! I had a problem with frost buildup in my 9 month old LG French Door Refrigerator. They came, replaced a few parts and left. The refrigerator stopped cooling completely after this and leaked all over the floor by morning. When my wife called, Richard was so rude and condescending to her, it defies explanation. A few examples: Richard "Do you hear the fan?" My wife "What sound should I be listening for?" Richard "Uh, a fan." Richard "can you unplug it and then plug it in again?" This business is terrible. I was referred to them by Best Buy / LG to repair my washing machine that was covered under warranty. I called it in at the beginning of August, and got an appointment on 8/9. I told them that the machine wasn't draining properly, and that it sounded completely different than normal, so one of the parts was clearly broken. I informed the Appliance Repair Center that the machine was under warranty, but they still said they had to charge a $95 fee to come look at it, and that the fee would be refunded if they had to fix any parts on the machine. The technician ran some test cycles on the machine and told me that the lint trap had some lint in it, which is why it wasn't draining properly. They charged my wife $205 for the "service" he provided, even though it was supposed to be covered under the warranty. The machine worked for about three loads of laundry, and then broke again. When we called them to come fix it, they couldn't schedule an appointment for another week. When they finally came out, they said we had to pay an additional $385 for some parts, because they didn't have authorization from the warranty company to order the parts. I immediately called Best Buy, and they sent Appliance Repair Center a service order, which APC promptly ignored (they never showed up). When I called Appliance Repair Center, they told me it would be 3-4 days until the part came in, and that they would come fix the machine at the end of the next week. I called on Wednesday for a status of the part, and got no response. I called again on Friday, and the guy got belligerent with me on the phone like I was annoying him by trying to get my machine fixed. He said the part was on back order, and put me on hold. Then 5 minutes later he said that somebody had to call the insurance company to see when the part would get here. I asked if he would do that (I have no idea which third-party company he's using), and he said that the customer does that, but he would do it "in this case". A couple minutes later, he said that the part was on the way and that he would have it Monday. I asked if he had appointments available next week, and he said that he had Tuesday and Thursday available. When I asked to schedule for Tuesday, he said that he would not schedule an appointment until the part comes in, because if they don't ship it, he loses money by having an empty appointment slot (like that's my problem - I just want my machine fixed). When I said that it has been over a month, and that I really need my machine fixed, he told me that it had only been a week, and that was the first they heard of my issue. I told him I have a receipt / service order from his company that shows that his technician was here almost a month ago, and that I had called it in almost two weeks prior to that. He said "oh yeah, I remember you", then he said that it's my fault for never telling them that the machine was under warranty. I told him that I clearly explained that the machine was under warranty when I called the first time, and he called me a liar and said that "his girl is extremely attentive to details, and she wouldn't have missed that". I hung up on him at that point and called Best Buy to get someone else to come out to fix my machine. Appliance Repair Center still owes me $205. read more

RIDICULOUSLY HORRID EXPERIENCE. I was one of the many with the LG refrigerator ice-maker issue where condensation occurs and the ice melts inside. After the class action lawsuit vs LG, they made the poor decision to outsource the repair to this horrible place. From the first time the repair person came he immediately rebuked us for not having our frozen items removed from the freezer (it was not indicated we had to do this). After we removed everything, we then discovered he was fairly incompetent, needing my help several times, and calling someone else from the company for advice as well. He even cut himself on the railing of the sliding drawer, bleeding all over the fridge, and then, after we gave him a bandage, doing a pretty bad job cleaning up his blood. After he finally left after I showed him how to put the drawer back in, we found that the freezer light had stopped working. When I called back the appliance repair center and told them, the secretary said that the light probably just died (after less than 1 year of owning the fridge... right.) and I could go lowes or home depot for a new one. She obviously didn't do any research whatsoever, as the manual states that only a licensed tech could replace it. After I called again, she said she would talk to the guy who came. A day later, I call to follow up, and they tell me the tech said he didn't do anything to the light, so there's nothing they could do without a work order from LG. I then call back Lori from LG to complain, and they said they would put in another work order to fix the light. A few days later- nothing. I call them back and Lori said she would expedite the work order. Then a week passes and I receive a letter in the mail from LG stating that our claim has been rejected because the unit is deemed in working condition. I only ignored it since the light inexplicably started working again (for now). Oh, but our fridge started melting the ice in the ice-maker again. So yea, without say, you can probably safely assume our opinion on LG refrigerators now. and obviously what we think about this appliance repair center. No idea how they're still in business and ripping people off- providing service that doesn't fix anything, and rude support that simply gives customers headaches. read more

WORST.EXPERIENCE.EVER! I've been working with this company for about 2 months now. The problem with my refrigerator still has not been fixed. I called again and again, Tech comes out as scheduled and still the problem hasn't been fixed. My final conversation with them was with Richard the Service Manager who told me that, "It costs money to keep coming out to your house, and then you are gonna call us back to say the appliance still isn't working, what do you want us to do?" Mind you, my refrigerator is fully covered under warranty, so I'm not sure what money he's talking about. I then told him that all I want is for my fridge to work, I want the water to be dispensed, so that I don't have to keep buying water anymore, when that's the purpose of buying a fridge with a water dispenser. Totally unprofessional, called last Friday about my refrigerator blowing warm air, Rich said the unit may be under warranty and the earliest he could get out was the middle of this week, I had to find the receipt so I could determine when it was purchased to check the warranty, told Rick I would call back that afternoon to confirm an appointment. Found the receipt, called back and he wasn't around so I could not book an appointment, the lady in the office said she would call him and have him call me, no phone call ever came, I called first thing Tuesday morning after the holiday, again he wasn't in, was told he would call me as soon as he got in, still no call, I had to call back two more times and finally was told he couldn't come out until next Monday ANOTHER six days without a fridge!! Why is it so hard to get a call back?? I could have moved on trying to find someone else sooner, try feeding a family of four with no fridge or freezer for a week then be told to wait six more days after being told I'd be able to be serviced mid week this week! This company was given to us by PC Richards because they said this is the only repair company that services our area. When the guy came I should have known something was a little weird the first time when he said thank you for having me. He came out to repair our maytag refrigerator. The ice maker was leaking inside of the fridge. He look at it told me he had to order parts and it could take some time to come and he would be back when the parts come in. The second time he came he claim he found some new problems. The third time he came he didn't even have the decency to let us know he was leaving he told my seven year old grand child. The fourth time he came me my daughter was home to let him in. When me and my husband returned home we noticed that he took it upon himself to use our dish towels for what I don't know but they weren't the way we left them. He also left some debree behind when he left. Also when we opened the fridge the lights was out on one side. In the freezer portion the lights was completely out in the entire section. This means this guy has to come back a fifth time. When we called the company like the day before he was to return. I spoke to a man named Richard who claimed to be the supervisor who was horrible. When I told him about the repair guys conduct he told me he had a hard time believing my story because the repair guy has 22 years of experience.
