Dan is a hustler, and a sad comment on his mother's "women's" ownership. Her first name is the company's name and she is the likely manager, or even that is a front in all likelyhood. Dan inspected my Bosch Dish washer, and rendered a wrongful analysis of bad water pump re: insufficient cleaning and gave AmEx for new pump, only to discover a bad house waterfilter was the culprit. The part ordering and return saga dragged on through May with deceptive courtesy and sincerity. Do not EVER give him or anyone from Sonia's Appliance Repair any money before work is completed... especially not credit card info. I had the same experience as the previous client The technician came to repair the Maytag washer. he diagnosed it needed a new timer, 125 for the visit 65 for the part. this was on Tuesday he said I should have the part by weekend. One month later they claim the part was delivered broken, they need to send it back and wait for another part. I told Sonia I cannot wait forever, they offered to give back the money for the part. I agreed, another two weeks went by, I called Sonia back, where is my money, the say they send a money order to me. to date ( july21) I have not received any money. This started in February. I am writing this to recommend Don for your appliance repair needs. Last week, I posted that I needed to have a broken garbage disposal replaced on the nextdoor site. I received a number of responses and reached out to one of them. A young man came and installed a new garbage disposal. Unfortunately the next day I tried to run my dishwasher and the cabinet under the sink flooded. I reached out to the repair man and he ghosted me. My neighbor came over and tightened a pipe that was left loose and I thought all was fine. Then my dishwasher stopped draining and my reverse osmoses water filter stopped working. I called Don Lopez from Highland and he quickly figured out what happened. The garbage disposal was not installed properly and that plugged up the dishwasher which then burnt out my drain motor. Don uninstalled the garbage disposal, put in a new drain motor and reinstalled the disposal. NOW everything is working including the water filter. Don Lopez is the real deal. He is professional, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and he comes quickly. I highly recommend him for all your home appliance repair needs. read more

Recently we had a visit for a washing machine repair. It was a terrible experience. After charging us $662.75+ dollars and not fixing the machine, we contested the credit charge and arranged a settlement. Just before I mailed the settlement agreed upon (in writing) I checked my Capital One Account and discovered that the original charge was reinstated. These people are crooks. Do not use them. Same experience as many people, Dan Lopez showed up, seemed knowledgeable, pulled out our dishwasher, said the pressure sensor needed replacing, took $240 to order the new part saying he would be in touch with us within 48 hours, and has now vanished into the ether. Horrible experience. They are scammers. Charged me as a repeating charge and the merchant type said fast food ok my Chase app. Had to cancel my card and it was such a headache. Dan said he'd come with a fan to replace in my refrigerator. He came and never fixed it in over a week. Communication was not great and I couldn't get an answer as to when it would be fixed. The young man from Sonia's came on a Saturday afternoon to look at our garbage disposal and dishwasher, both of which had stopped working. We were about to have 20 people arrive for dinner. We had had a large kitchen appliance repair company come earlier in the day and they totally failed to fix the problems and they charged us $365.25. The young man fromm Sonia's quickly diagnosed the problems and fixed them and charged us only $165. He was pleasant and efficient and very knowledgeable. So Dan came January 2025 (gave him over $300 as a deposit) to fix my slicer, after 2mo no slicer he claims he was unable to get the part needed to fix it. I went on Amazon and found the part (another $100) and in 24hrs had the part in my hand. He then no showed for another 2mo to then come back and say to my cook he needed to take slicer with him. SO he took it and was never to be seen or heard from again. read more

stole my money! on jan 24 2025 they charged me $252.56 to fix my dishwasher in highland falls. they said they had to get a part (pump) and would come back. they never came back and dont answer their phone 845 324-0614. i had to get anothr repairman to fix dishwasher and pay him. this company stole $252. i am calling the better business bureau. horrible people. read more

my refrigerator was not cooling , called came out same day , took time to defrost the massive amount of ice build up on the back wall and figured out which part was causing the defrosting issue, was very fast friendly and knowledgeable will definitely call again with any issues I have with my appliances read more
