For the second time in about 6 years, I used Brady Power Center in Stormville, NY for maintenance and repair on my 15 year old (or so) Ariens Deluxe 28 Snow thrower. Brady's has consistently demonstrate a strong, customer centric service, being quick to pick up, repair, and return my snow thrower in excellent condition. They're professional, friendly, and reasonable in price. I have every reason to believe they'd offer the same quality of care in sales as they do in service. read more

1st time there - needed work on my rider. They called with 2 estimates- 1 for what was broke and 1 with what was broke plus recommendations. Was glad they explained both. Got my repair with no add ons and picked up - bill was less than quoted. Good shop, friendly staff. Will def use them again if I need repair. read more

Excellent! First time I ever used them. I called them, described the symptoms (running rough, black smoke, burning oil) with my seven year old Craftsman 21hp 42" tractor, and they said they would pick it up the next day. They did, got a call the next day with a repair estimate (I was pleasantly surprised) and they dropped it off the following day. It runs like new. The rep explained the repair in detail. Just picked up our mower from Brady's on Saturday after they put a new engine in it. The mower is now dead in my lawn after 20 mins of use and they are telling me it's not their problem! This after they tried to charge me $3500 for a engine that we found the same one brand new for 1000$ then to top it all off while we were in there picking up our mower there was a man in there complaining bc they charged him 3 different prices for the same job and to top it off the mower was broke for a 4th time with the same problem! I heard stories like this before but when I talked to them they seemed nice so I gave them a shot! What a unprofessional business they are running! Idk how they are still in business! Extremely unprofessional. One of the blades broke on my tractor. Took it to Bradys and had it replaced with the belts on the tractor. Brought it home, started cutting and the belt broke off within minutes. Went back to Bradys and he blamed me, said I hit a rock. (Assuming I was talking about the Blade) He never gave me a chance to explain becoming extremely nasty! I live right on Route 216. This happened several years ago and I never went back. Purchased a new snow blower from them roughly two years ago. Never had a chance to use it last year as we had no snow where I live. This year 2017 I have used the unit 4 times (3 times in a day and half as we had a major storm). I was very displeased with the unit for multiple reasons, but the biggest issue is that no matter how much snow I have used it in (I have tried unit with 3, 6, & 12"s of snow) there is always snow being pushed out the front the shell while using the slowest gear. This problem causes me to have to clear the driveway twice (which takes me double the time to clear my driveway). I went to the dealership today to voice my displeasure with the unit and asked if they have a buy back policy (they do not). I asked if they will take it on a trade, they said yes but they would need to see the unit. I said ok the unit is in my truck in the parking lot. I was told that I would have to come back in the afternoon because they where to busy to look at it while I was there. I said you don't have 15 mins to come out and look at it while I am here (I live 40 mins away each way). I was told no. I can understand that they are busy but I was not looking to waste anyone's time as I was planning to purchase a new bigger better built unit. There customer service is terrible in my eyes and I will never return to this business and I will be advising my friends to do the same. I would give them zero stars if I could. read more

Horrible customer and mechanical service. Each time I brought my trimmer back I received the same answer, bad fuel and stihl makes cheap carburetors. They never repaired the issue at hand. It would run for a short period of time and it never started quickly even after getting it back. They are not accountable for their mistakes or inabilities. I purchased the trimmer from them 6 years ago and had to return it for repair 4 times. I called stihl also and they just defend the dealer. I am finished with Bradys and Stihl. read more

Very responsive UNTIL you buy... then forget it. Waiting for a call from them to tell you your parts are in? Forget it. Then when you call and ask you get "let me have your number and I'll call you right back" - don't hold your breath, the phone's not going to ring. Get EVERYTHING DONE BEFORE you take the equipment or you're SOL. Very nice people until the sale is done and then they don't do much of anything they promise. Unless of course I suppose if you're one of their commercial accounts they probably do but for the average guy? fagetaboudit..... Very sad, I thought they were one of the best around... so much for thinking... The ONLY reason I gave two stars is because I like the Toro, but I could have gotten that elsewhere - cheaper. The owner Tom is one of the most awful people I have had to deal with..his I do not care attitude is so unprofessional..basically he honestly does not care about his business..he is so busy he does not listen and forget it if you want a little help trying to keep your business running...he cares about no one nor is he sympathetic to your issues ..business owners that run small mowing business are out working hard everyday and if your mower goes down you are at a big loss.. Tom cares only about the money and not how to keep customers satisfied..fortunately for him he is one of few big players in his industry so people you don't have many choices.. but wow how rude is he every time he has to deal with anyone... not a good man.. read more

I had a problem with a snowblower that was not the result of anything they did and they went out of their way to work with me to get the problem fixed for a very reasonable cost to me! I only starred this so I could write a review. They don't deserve anything. Don't know how's he's been in business all these years but can't find any reviews anywhere. Not on Angie's List either. The treatment I received at this dealership and on the phone was horrendous and totally uncalled for. I went there (drove out of my way to get there) with all intentions of spending more than $6,000 on a garden tractor with accessories and separate snow blower. I walked in and didn't even get an acknowledgement I was there. Walked over to the showroom to see if they had any garden tractors left. Unfortunately, I am in desperate need of one for the winter. Waited a few minutes and no one came to ask if I needed any help. Went to the counter and stood there another few minutes before the young, ditz of a girl (which I believe may be the owners daughter, Stephanie) behind the counter finally acknowledge me. I told her I was looking for a GX54 Cub Cadet garden tractor. She said they didn't have any but could order it for me. Proceeded to take out the catalog and give me the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price - which I already knew because I did my homework before walking in there via the internet and had just gotten off the phone with the manufacturer of Cub Cadet. ( I had learned from them the only way I could get the 0% 48 month financing was through a dealership. And the only way to get the tractor itself was through a dealership. I could order the accessories (and get a good deal on them) through the manufacturer but not the machines themselves!!!!! I proceeded in saying if she was only going to give me the suggested retail price, what was the difference whether I went to Reardon Briggs in Pleasant Valley, NY or them. Since Stormville, NY isn't around the corner from where I live. Mind you she never asked me any questions as to why I was looking for that size lawn tractor, what were my needs, did I really need the XT2 GX54. Didn't even try to sell me what they did have in stock for a better price. In other words, this was someone who didn't care about losing money for the place she worked. I proceeded to say thank you but I'll take my business else where. I got in my car and immediately called Cub Cadet and told them the whole story of what happened. They were very apologetic with regards of having one of their dealerships treat a potential customer that way. When I got off the phone, I then felt as a sales person myself having done well over $2.5 million in sales on a yearly basis and also being a customer service person, felt, the person who owned this business needed to know how unprofessional his counter people were. I called and asked to speak to the owner only to find out the person who was standing right next to the girl at the counter may have been Tom the owner. If he was, he just stood by and did nothing but watch me walk out being unhappy with their service. He proceeded to tell me I was wrong and put words into my mouth of things I didn't say. He said he heard me say I was going to the manufacturer to buy the tractor so why did they care where I bought it. Once I realized he was the other person who just stood there, I knew I was going to get no where. If he was the boss, shouldn't he have known I couldn't order the tractor directly from the manufacturer? I just hung up on him while he was continuing to try and talk over me. Proceeded to call Cub Cadet again to let them know how one of their dealerships treated me and was told the regional rep would be in touch with them. They were kind enough to offer me compensation if I did decide to buy their equipment. They keep records of who called requesting info by your phone number and made note of the incident too. So all in all, bad customer service and ignorant people. I would never trust someone who treated people so poorly. So if you're looking for a Cub Cadet and do not want to buy them from the box stores, here are the other dealerships that sell them near the Hudson Valley area.
